As Kyonos stood there waiting for Herman to reply, the aroma of the fresh baked bread wafting to his nostrils got to be too much. The Dwarf reached for a loaf of bread, broke off a piece and put it in his mouth. He chewed it, savoring every bit of the bread. Once he started, Kyonos was not about to stop. He broke off another piece and found it to be as tasty as the first. On and on he went until the entire loaf was gone. Smacking his lips and slapping his belly, he was happy with his lot.
Not wanting to just take the bread, Kyonos climbed down to the cellar and hefted a sack of what seemed to be wheat flour onto a shoulder. He climbed back up and set it down in the Baker's work area. He went back and got another; then yet another. He felt that three large sacks should be sufficient but just for good measure he got a fourth one.
That done he said to Herman, "There are four sacks of flour. How much do I owe you for the bread?"
