Current state of affairs in Zerdaria

Greetings!
Let’s me shed some light on what is going now in the realm of Alleria and place of Zerdaria as of now both IC and OOC wise.

IC1: Zerdaria is slowly recovering from the siege and huge loss of population, as the total number has decreased to 150 thousands from initial 200 (confirmed by GM Anne with Juan). But from those who survived the siege, not everyone have yet returned to the city, so you can expect that about 20 thousands are still scattered through the land. Part of the dwarven population decided to settle down in Dargis (about 30k). But since golem army and magic elevator are yet not activated, it will be hard to hold their positions and defend this place from Vysstichi. So they’ve taken some upper tunnels and lesser cave, where they build up a temporary settlement, still hoping to people Dargis once again. On the other side, Vysstichi are not able to make a full force attack at this time too, so it is parity of powers. Some parts of the surface city is also unsuitable for living, thanks to extensive use of Arcana their, but exact map isn’t ready yet.

OOC: We don’t plan any scaled projects at this moment, as Zerdaria has enough of it for now. From the other side, if a group of PC will show some interest in exploring Dargis as personal or small-team plot, we will be glad. We will try to incorporate events that take part in Dargis forums too

I’m going to Moscow for three days, so don’t expect me to post anything over this weekend, but here is another part of our plans to restore activity in Zerdaria. First of all threads of the siege with no PC activity or branches of threads with no PC activity (it’s when NPC of one GM fight with NPCs of another, or even if these NPcs are in hand of PC) will be ceased to one or two conclusion posts written by mod of this thread (or either Ann or me if the current mod with refuse). All the threads with PC activity will be revised for the way on how to conclude the plot. “placing a helmet on her head” Now you can throw stones at me for such decision.

All PC who were part of the defenders will get a special medal for this. The most devoted ones will get more, but there will be another thread about this in the siege forum.

If you need any location, then bring it up with post on how your character is making his/her way there. We are now working on list of places who were left intact and what was damaged or destroyed. So current description of the place is not accurate, that’s why it’s better not to rely on it. Both parts of Zerdaria – above and beneath the earth will get a link map- And while we are working on it some threads may migrate from here to there. Please, be patient with us.

IC2: I know that there are no locations in the underground Zerdaria yet, but there are some preliminary notes about this place. Only dwarves and Halflings are allowed to go there freely. If you are a gnome, you can sneak you way into too, and it is unlikely that anyone will hunt you while you are inside. No elves are allowed there – and if you are an elf, you are risking your life even showing at the gates. Faeries (and their kin) and shunned too, during their connection to magic. If you are human, katta, dorin – you can be lucky enough to talk your enter into. Those who go inside get a special metal plaque that they have to wear on their cloth, showing admittance to this place. Orcs are hunted as soon as noticed.

Its definitely not the lack of me not trying to finish this war, but what can I do when none of the other players post? Now that the result has already been determined I don't know what the point of me playing this is anymore...

Well, I'm still active. I'm waiting on a post from a mod in the "Secret Mission" thread. I don't know if Adder is still taking that up, or if Anne or someone else is taking it over.

Besides Raliric NPCing Barthanes, yourself Avanthar and me, there is like, no one else that is active except maybe Janis who posted recently. I've spoken with some of the other PC's like Norin and Rhysean and Alesdair. Norin is on vacation and then doing school stuff I believe and I don't think he's coming back for a while. Rhysean and Alesdair don't know what to do after the stuff on the walls were done and whatnot.

Did you want us to list and give links to what we've done in the war to make it easier for you to give the defender's medals based on our deeds? *Is about to receive his first medal, this is awesome ^_^ *

Yes, it will help us a lot if you'll give us links to the threads where you were involved.

And ask those ones, who are not actively posting here any more to do it too. I don't want to forget anyone, but I'm more sure if I see people posts in a thread. :

Avanthar I can understand why you are so pessimistic, but as you can see from my post, we have decided the fate of the city, not the casualties of the war itself. I know in brief what kind of plans you have in your city, but "searching through her papers" in none of the were stated a desire to "demolsih every small building to the ground". No, I haven't yet written outcome - while I have gathered the information about defending side, I still need to get in touch with you and clear out a whole lot of things. Ok I took the "Sercret Mission", this thread is up and running again.
The "Shadow Gate - Defence", can be closed.
The "Defence - City Wall In Defence of Zerdargia" doesn't appear to be anyone left on the wall, so I think it's safe to close this thread.
Lastly I closed "On the Brink of Peril" thread.

Any other help you need just give me a shout.
