Whatever shall happen (Private)
As Mizu and Wadat threaded through the chaos of Zerdargia, a good, solid press of people swept them away. It was as if they were swept off by the rushing water of a powerful river, and only by fighting and kicking did they find their way out. The two Elves found themselves in front of a sturdy Dwarf in a uniform, shouting orders to his cadre and officers. At the word "Dwarf!" he turned, glared and dismounted. As he marched to the pair, the throng of people seemed to part, like Moses and the Red Sea. He stopped directly in front of the pair and glared up at them. It became evident this was not directed at them, but this was the way he always looked at the world. "Yeah. Elf?" he asked in a gruff voice.

"Sorry, it was the only way I could call your attention." Junzo answered quickly enough, holding on firmly to the reins of his warhorse, while all around him the press of civilians rushed to and fro on the streets. "I heard about the coming undead, and have come to offer my aid. There are not many of us, but every willing man and woman counts." He nodded grimly at the many others who were mostly panicking around them.
"Where may I and my party lend our aid?" The thelyri asked of the dwarf.

"Do we have any idea what kind of numbers we are about collide into?"
-It was obvious that the thelyri female wanted some numbers and information before she went mindlessly gallivanting into a mainstream battle. All she was wearing currently was her chainmail hidden underneath her normal black and white striped shirt. She had her katars hidden underneath the long sleeves, plus her metal bat or club. If she had a chance to rearm herself more thoroughly however, she would take that chance.-
" Is there any possible way you could get me some plate armor? Currently im wearing just some chainmail, and for some reason with all this panic I figure the intensity of this battle is going to make me want to thoroughly protect myself."
-It was an understandable request, given the current situation and she figured the dwarven commander or officer would at least respect the request as it was mostly geared by initiative to increase her chances at survival.-

The Dwarf studied the two Elves, then pushed Mizu aside and examined Wadat closely. He poked and prodded her with the skill of a tailor, nodding and mumbling to himself. He started to make her feel like a side of beef, but finally, he was finished and turned his attention to Mizu. He repeated the ritual, then nodded. He scribbled on an order pad, handed the paper to Wadat and then sighed. "We know nutt'n of how many we're ta be facin'. We got the message from Primus Gaudo, and started preparin' the city straight up. Take that paper ta th' supply sergeant. He'll see yer equipped as needed." He pointed to the entrance to the Veldar compound, then turned and prepared for the coming conflict.
The guards at the entrance to the compound directed the two Elves to the supply office, where a burly Dwarf in a Veldar uniform was stacking weapons. The stripes of a sergeant were proudly displayed on his sleeves. He took the paper, studied it, and said, "I'm ta issue ye each a suit o' armor and a weapon. I can equip you with what ever suit ye need, a shield or buckler and any weapon ye can name." He stroked his hand through his thick red beard as he studied the Elves, his dark eyes glittering.

OOc: Sorry I'm late.
Janis had been on his horse and as Mizushin had been talking to a dwarf he had seemed to zone out for a few moments. The blunt, unmistakable dwarven way this city had about it was unblievable. He had never seen much of anythinkg like it in his life. Considering in was his first time in anywhere that had mainly dwarves, could anyone doubt him for being a little awestucken. Just then he noticed Mizu and the female companion they had rode here with, start to walk away and he noticed he had been left out of something.
He dismounted his stead and walked up to the dwarf who had just helped out his two companions. "allo Master dwarf!" Janis said nodding his head in respect to the dwarf. He held the reigns of his horse in one hand and the other pet teh side of his stead. "I'm with those two you just helped, seemed they forgot about me for a second, but I was wondering if I could get any informtion you just relayed to them. Also, master dwarf, I was wonderin' if you got a place in this nice city to keep me' horse here safe? The bugger means a lot to me." Janis awaited the responce of teh dwarf and the chance to join his two companions.

Junzo looked back and shook his head, somewhat managing to be amused despite the siutation. "Ho, Janis! Come on, we can find the Veldar stables later on. Let's get going now first, mmm?" The thelyri called out loud towards the young man, taking care of his companion. He waited until the other had managed to extricate himself from the dwarf, before putting a mailed hand on the other's should and gripping it. "Don't space out like that, might get you into certain undesireable situations, eh?"
"Come now." He gestured towards the Veldar buildings with a nod of his head, then lead them in. He wondered for a moment where Hannas had gone off too. But he was sure the veteran could take care of himself well enough. He turned his attention back to Janis after shaking his head a bit, "Stay with us, eh?"
"This is a good chance for you to get equipment and replace what you have with better ones, if they got any." The thelyri advised both Janis and Wadatsumi, inspecting the Veldar gear from where he was. He wondered if he should replace his daisho, thinking it over. Regardless of that, he would be getting better secondary weapons. "I'd like to trade in my dagger and get a pair of better made ones, as well as getting one more longknife, so I a pair of both daggers and longknives." He told the dwarf, then added, "Oh, and one belt of light throwing blades...you wouldn't happen to have anything else would you? A belt of alchemist's fire, perhaps?"

Janis finally spotted Mizushin beckoning to him and looked down at the dwarf. "Oh then, It seems I've found my party. Thank you Master Dwarf and may the god you call your own see you through these troubled times." Janis was always sensitive to others. Hardly ever did he pass judgement and this dwarf was no excetption. From what he had gathered, he would probably be fighting alongside this dwarf today and it would probably be for the best to treat them with respect. It was their city.
Making his way over to Mizushin, Janis could do nothing but shake his head in an embarressed nod. Yes it seemed indeed the practice Janis had partaken in earlier would have to stop and stop quickly. He made a mental note of this and then looked foward to the weapon's shack. He listened to Miz's words and though this would be a great time to build up his own personal arsenal even if it was only for this battle.
Janis thought it through. He did not have any training experience but he had sparred minorly with both his daggers and once even with a londsword. He also practiced with his crossbow on ocassion though no formal training was ever given. He figured he would stick to what he had at least tried before even in the most simple sence. "Aye, I figure I'll be taking a pair of Daggers and a longsword, both sheathed if possible. Another score of arrows might do me good as well." Janis then realized he only had chainmail to protect him as well. He thought about what he could use hoping he hadn't already asked for too much. "Perhaps some light armor of my legs and arms. Whatever the lightest armor you have is I'll take it." If it offered any protection at all it was better then nothing, he didn't want to hinder his movement in the least. "So whats our plan gunna be Mizushin?" If Mizushin, obviously far more skilled then he in the arts of war and weaponry had any adive and/or plans for what their small group would be doing, he would listen and follow attentively. This elf had his full respece and honor.

-It looked like a spot of good news when the dwarven commander had given her the ability and freedom to get herself better equipped at no charge to herself. It was probably because she was already going to be doing this province a huge favor, by helping them fight off multiple legions of dark minions.
It had started now, as she had been directed to the weapon depo or shop. Wadatsumi was not exactly clear what it was, it might have been a militia armory for all she knew. But the only thing that mattered is he was offering some serious gear to help aid her in her quest.
Even Mizushin made her pay heed, to how important it was to take advantage of what was being offered to her.-
"Alright this is what I will need, forget the suits of armor just give me a large blanket sized portion of chain mesh. I would also like two heavy duty bracers and gauntlets instead of a shield if you can do that, and possibly a katana or regular long sword I don't care what quality so long as its sharp."
- Now the question that would come to mind is why would Wadatsumi want a blanket of chain mail? It was simple, with just one or two extra links to connect both ends together she could make herself a makeshift chain mail cloak, it seemed absurd but it would prove to be highly effective in melee combat considering most slashing attacks would be significantly reduced in effectiveness plus it would be significantly lighter then donning a clunky and encumbering plate mail suit. The sword she was not to concerned about, because it was highly likely she would end up losing the weapon later on.-
"So what are we planning to do anyway? Do we even have a strategy being worked out?"

OOC: I'm REALLY sorry, guys.
IC: The Dwarf nodded as he took the fighters' orders, then disappeared into the back room. He reappeared with a huge pile of weaponry, then set it on the counter with a clash. He pushed a pair of Dwarf-steel daggers, a long knife of Elf steel, and a bandoulier with ten balanced throwing knives toward Muzishin. He also had a belt with five vials in loops. "Your weapons, and o' course, your Alchemists' fire. Of course, this is all the fire we got, so don't ye be wastin' it all, hear?"
He pushed his second load to Wadatsumi, a pile of chain mesh, Elf steel, roughly the size of a large blanket, along with two Elf steel bracers and two Elf steel gauntlets. "I got sometin' SPECIAL fer ye," he said as he patted her arm. Reaching under the counter, the Dwarf pulled a fine longsword from under it. The hilt was made of leather-wrapped steel, the blade was Elf steel polished so fine it looked silver. The sword sang as he pulled it from its sheth, and he slammed it home and slid the weapon toward the Sea Elf. "It'll be useful again' the dead, but ye need ta find out wha' it does on yer own."
Finally, he turned to Janis. He slid over a shirt of Elf steel chain mail with long sleeves and matching pants. Along with the armor, there was a set of bracers and thick leather gloves, along with a quiver of twenty arrows, each painted with a small skull on the shaft. "These here arrows'll find yer targets' long as they's dead. You'll find they'll be good use te ye." He also pushed across a weapons belt with two sheathed daggers and a long sword, all three masterwork weapons. "Mind ye don' slice off yer arms, eh?"

OOC: Let's get this started on and headed to the battle shall we?
IC:
Junzo drew his breath and looked over the weapons brought before him. First off he took care with the vials of Alchemist fire, making sure that they were in a place where he could draw them out quickly, but not get smashed up accidentally. The bandolier of throwing knives were easy enough, and he slung that over himself. Lastly, the trio of blades he just newly acquired he placed accordingly. The elven blade was placed by his thigh, in the same position as his own longknife already was. And the two daggers he put near his boots.
As his companions readied themselves as well, he took stock over his assortment of weapons. He had now his daisho, the shortsword on the small of his back, two pairs of daggers and longknives, the belt of explosive flame, and lastly the ten-set of throwing knives. It was all in all a somewhat heavy enough load, but most of his equipment was made of light elven steel, so that would help him greatly. Lastly, most of the weapons were small, an assortment of small blades, which collectively weighed less then twenty pounds. A significant weight, but not too encumbering.
"All right people, are we ready?" Junzo asked in a firm voice, after a few minutes had passed, checking his gear. By now, surely, his companions would have finished equipping themselves and finished their arms. "Time waits for no man, elf or dwarf." He smiled humorlessly.

Hannas Darkblade spurred his horse over to where his companions were speaking with a dwarf. This was obviously where they could get equipped for the coming fight. Although Hannas was already fairly well prepared anything which would prove useful against undead would certainly be welcome. Especially given the overwhelming odds that they were facing.
He pulled his horse up alongside Janis and nodded calmly at the dwarf. "Serale!" he said quietly, just loud enough to be heard. "Master Dwarf." He looked at the others. He himself had his longsword ready at his side, and was wearing his good chain main, with a helm. From his saddlebags hung his crossbow but he did not feel that it would be of much good against animated dead. He looked across at the Dwarf. "If you have any more fire, Master Dwarf, then I would be grateful for it. If not, then I will have to manage."
"Apart from that" he answered Mizushin "I am ready for whatever comes."

Wadatsumi gathered her precious new items and equipped them accordingly. She was told that this light and agile looking long sword may have some sort of secret power about it, and for that she took a little bit more then usual pride holstering such a brilliant looking sword and wrapping it around her waist. As she took her gauntlets and bracers she quickly put them on, they were nice and fit her rather snugly it was a good sign. Then for her blanket of chain mail she took it and found a link and connected it, it made an interesting looking hoodless cloak or pancho.
Listening to hannas's request, Wadatsumi Tsunami smiled just a little bit. She knew how to burn things, the first time Mizushin had met her she had lit some drunkards face aflame with a match and sprits of sake from her mouth.
You know, if there is no alchemist fire lying about, perhaps you could get some lantern oil and strips of cloth. You know dip the cloth in oil and wrap them around your arrows, true you would have to light each arrow up individually with a match or two. But it would have almost the same effect, yes?
Wadatsumi still carried with her that arrogant flare, it was almost as if she thought she was royalty or something weird like that. For the most part Hannas had no idea of what Wadatsumi Tsunami herself thought she was, and for the most part that was probably a good thing. But then again, nobody knew that Wadatsumi was also an elementalist.

Janis smiled at the generous offerings of the dwarves. It seemed no price was to small when it came to the protection of your city. That seemed sensible enough. Janis put on the armor, a bit embaressed that for some moments he had to show a bit more skin then was needed to fully equip himself, but he got over it. This was his chance. His chance to be a part of something big. He was a bit shaky on all the details but he knew it was big and he was a part of it.
Janis clipped on the new weapons belt so that it was at an angle. This left his other belt still out in the open. He drew his crossbow, knowing that would probably be what he would use first. I took no weary war veteran to know that an army had to approach from afar before it came down to hand to hand. He examined one of the peculiar arrows the dwarf had given him and with a smile, clipped it inot his crossbow. He then took stance and simply nodded at Mizushin. He was kind of getting to be a bit of a romantic at the moment, as he sometimes did, and was a bit choaked up. He quickly tried to supress this and stook straight up, under the weigh of his newly aquired battle gear, and got ready to do battle. "Ye know I'd follow ya to grave should I hafta, Junzo, and today makes no difference." With that, and a nod to his other companions, he was ready.

The Dwarf tossed a second belt similar to Muzishin's to Hannas, grunting into his beard. After the group was equipped properly, he headed into the back of the depot to look over his stores. Outside, a squad of cavalry rode past, each horse barded in glittering chain and ridden by a sturdy Dwarf in a glittering chain mail shirt and armed with a spear and sword. Following them were the war wagons, each one packed with Inafntry. These were the soldiers being moved to different parts of the city to man the fortifications being built around the walls. Coming up the street toward them was a soldier wearing the stripes of a Corporal, leading an Allerian Warhound on a leash. The Human was giving commands to the ferocious-looking creature, and wasn't paying attention to where he was going. With a slight bang, he found himself literally bumping into Wadatsumi, not hard enough to knock her down, but enough to force her to take a step back. "My apologies, ma'am," said the Corporal, as he reeled in his large dog, who was busy trying to sniff out Wadatsumi's leg.
