The Early Return of Private Beldwhig

It was late Imperos when the lone Private Beldwhig returned. He came over the hills and saw the great city of Zerdargia. His trip to Primus Gaudeo had indeed been much needed. He now knew what he wanted although Dargis seemed to be getting out of his grasp he felt that Zerdargia was his real home. He made his way to the city gates where he saluted his superiors and passed the gates. He was in his Veldar Uniform as he usually was when he was out journeying. This might not have been very wise but then again, this private had not been in the Veldar for too long.

He made his way through the city. He was starving but decided that it wasn't the time to go to the tavern. He would do that later, if he had time. He strode through the streets of Zerdargia as he had gotten used to. It was becoming a habit. Finally, he reached the Veldar Compound and he made his way up to Setik's office. He came up to the door and he knocked. He knew that Setik would be surprised. He wasn't expected for yet another cycle at least.

The truth was that Norin's trip to Primus Gaudeo had revealed to him things he needed to sort out. He knew he had to sort them out but he would never have guessed that this was the result of them. He disliked Primus Gaudeo, it had made him realise how poor and how sick his family had been. He had nothing left, absolutely nothing except his will to find Dargis and the Veldar Elite. Dargis might just be nothing more than a legend, a fairytale, but the concept, the idea was enough to fuel Norin's will to search for it. The Veldar, on the other hand, was loyal as was Norin. He wasn't going to disobey or betray anyone within this organisation and he felt that he could always return and even ask some of his friends within the military for help if need be.

Currently, he was standing outside Setik's office knocking on the large wooden door waiting for an answer. He had taken up the propriate stance for saluting his sergeant and he waited patiently. His heart beating fast and pleased with the fact that he had returned early. Setik would hopefully also be pleased.

OOC: I would like two different kinds of training. I would like to continue my intermediate singing and I would like to begin another training. I wanted to know whether there was someone who wanted to mod me or whether I shoudl self-mod the trainings? Finally, for my second training I would like to know what's available in Zerdargia from the following list (They are in prioritised order):
-Song Magic
-Ikos Magic
-Basic Drum
-Advance Axe (does this include the two-handed axe?)

From inside the office came the familiar, curt voice of the Sergeant. "Enter." Setik was sitting behind his desk filing paperwork as Norin entered. He didn't look up as the Private stood at attention waiting for him to notice he had arrived. After several minutes, Setik looked up and noticed that Norin was waiting. "What do you want, Private?" he asked, quickly and to the point.

Norin wasn't all that surprised by Setik's attitude although it had been a few months since he had seen him last. It was strange to be back although Norin felt more at home in this room with the halfling than he ever did in Primus Gaudeo. "Sir," Norin responded while giving a professional salute to his superior, "I'm reporting back for duty, sir. You gave me and Veleraen two months of vacation. We had come in with papers that you signed, sir. I'm reporting back knowing well that I'm almost a month too early, sir. I missed this place. If it would be no problem I wouldn't mind expanding my skills and go through more training for the rest of the summer, sir."

Norin was surprised. This was not what he had primarily had in mind but it seemed that he was longing to get back to work. He had been used to training so that was his initial thoughts although he didn't mind being posted anywhere either.

"You missed the Veldar, did you?" asked Setik with an amused tone in his voice. "And now that you are back in Zerdargia, what exactly do you plan to do?"

Norin was still in his respectful stance as if he was standing in rank. He knew very well that Setik was superior and thus he acted as such. He spoke with a determined air, "Sir... I'm planning on taking extensive courses in the art of the two-bladed axe if I may. Also, I was hoping to work for the Veldar. Even my øconomy is running low so I was wondering how much it paid for being a guard and whether there were any other jobs that I could take up and which would pay better, sir."

Norin wasn't exactly sure what he was going to do within the Veldar but was motivated to do almost anything. What he really wanted from the Veldar was more training, especially in combat. Norin waited patiently for Setik's reply and stared blankly into the air infront of him as he had been taught to do.

Setik let out a loud "Hmm....." and then solemly nodded. "Very well then. I will place you in an double bladed axe training with one of the drill instructors here in the compound. As for "working for us" you are already enlisted as a private if I'm not mistaken. If you wish to take on extra responsibility that's fine by me, although each job is paid the same. You get paid by rank, not job soldier!" Setik stood up suddenly from behind his desk and paced up towards the stiff-backed Norin.

"If you want, I can assign you to the gate. Otherwise you'll be busy with other duties that I will assign at my leisure. It's your choice, it all pays the same. Anything else?" Setik raised his eyebrows in curiousity and looked at Norin with a gaze that could kill a yak if he stared at it hard enough.

Norin didn't like Setik's gaze and tried to avoid it. He had been taught not to look down on his shoes so he avoided the gaze by looking straight over the sergeant and into the void. "Sir, I am already enlisted and I thank you for the training. I'm not working for the Veldar for the money. The money is only to have something to live off of. I would gladly take care of the gates with your permission, sir. I don't care if it doesn't pay extra, I'm dedicated to working for the Veldar, my loyalty is true and like a dog's, sir. Apart from that there is nothing else. Norin waited to be dismissed before he left.

Setik paced back and forth for a second, his eyes still locked on Norin. Suddenly he wheeled around on his heels and stopped mid stride.

"Actually Private, I have better assignment for you. Lets see you prove your worth to the Veldar. I want you to take your comrade in arms, what's his name, that big lug, Private Veleraen and go on a patrol through the streets in the city. You will be required to do a patrol every second brightening, as there will be two main patrol shifts this month. You're dismissed Private."

Setik turned around and sat back at his desk, putting his small boots up top his desk, as he fondled some papers and sighed, as the pile of paperwork seemed to get bigger and bigger each and every brightening.

OOC: I couldn't actually assign you to the gates since they're self modded. Hehe >_< I guess this thread is finished. I'll have to talk to soldier about the axe training but i think he said it would be okay. I don't know if he'll be taking it or not, so i'll get back to you on that.
