Timestamp: 18th Candlemark of Ioannolia, Brightening 2 of the First Cycle of Ioannes Summer of Era I of the Celestine Mandate
Era X Post Fractum in the Age of the Darkening, the Mageocracy of Julos the Mad Paradigm: The Truce of Demios and the Merfolk
It had taken two cycles worth of doing chores for her brother to get him to give her his best pair of boots. Now her toe stuck out of the hole in her left boot and the other was thread bare from just a mere seven brightenings of walking. "Just seven!" She mumbled as she walked down the streets of Zerdargia. It was refreshing to see all the dwarfs and to admire the architecture of her kind. Yet there was something about the size of the city and the amount of people in once place was a little unsettling. The streets of Candaceburg had just been more airy...
Airy? She stopped in her tracks in the middle of the street and was cursed at by those behind her who almost ran directly into her ample back side. By her grandfathers axe! She sounded like a tree humper, a grass smoker, like a skinny pointed eared elf is what she sounded like! "Airy..." She muttered before setting off again. Dunlaith needed ale, and quick and it had to be the best and where else was she to find the best but at the Iron Mug?
It wasn't difficult to find it either. Her father had an impeccable memory and had of course given his first born daughter the directions to the finest establishment in town. At least, that's what he had always referred to the Iron Mug as. Her mother would often shush him up before he could get into the more interesting details of his youth. Dunlaith grinned and broke out of her musings when she gazed upon the Iron Mug for the first time. It was impressive and she almost started to salivate as she thought about partaking in the best ale in the land.
What was she waiting for outside this wonderful establishment? Dunlaith grinned and entered promptly and went straight to the bar. She ordered a pint of their strongest and finest then sat down at a vacant table. She gripped the foaming pint with both hands and just stared at it for a moment. This was it, this was the moment she had longed for and partly the reason for her journey here. Ok so it WAS the reason for her journey... She had saved up for a two week stint in her fathers home town to have a chance to get away from her over bearing family and well, let it all hang out so to speak.
Dunlaith closed her eyes and smelled the rich fragrance before she picked up the pint, put it to her lips, and experienced an oral orgasm as she downed the pint. She didn't even take a breath until the entire pint was finished. Her eyes rolled back into her head after she consumed the last drop and she put the pint down as she went into a daze. So...good... and other incoherent phrases made up her thoughts before they focused on a single cause. Ale. More ale!
"Two more!" She bellowed to a near by waitress and when two more foaming pints were placed on her table she consumed one as quickly as the first but for the third she took her time and nursed the pint. The first two had been out of gluttony but now after she had her quick fix she wanted to savor the rich strong texture. Yes, yes this was far better than anything in Candaceburg! She closed her eyes again and took another sip before she finished her third pint.
"Another round here!"
Two more pints were placed on her table and she slid the three empty ones across the table as she focused on her forth. She wasn't drunk...yet. But she was well on her way! The female dwarf looked over at the bards for the first time and started to tap her foot and hum to the music as she began to loosen up. There was one thing this joint was missing though…dancing! The ol’ Dancing girls in and Tavern in Candaceburg was much more lively even if the ale wasn’t as good. It was also much more…mature. Where were the dancers anyway? Dancing, hmm now that sounded like a nice idea….
Tonight would be a VERY good night.
