In
Arcana, Iconomancy is regarded as Runic Magic. Iconomancers are shamans that protect and defile through the Essence of Rune. Mysterious through their craft, they can impose fortune and sway favor, shift probabilities, and alter chances. In battle, the Iconomancer's subtlety unleashes corruption and spiritual enslavement employing ancient rituals to govern luck.
Background
Believed to have been originally practiced by the
Ancient Aelyrians, Iconomancy is still known today in many circles by its original name of Ikos. Unlike the other schools of magic, Iconomancy does not have spells, but instead relies upon translating magical intent into
runes, which when organized together create
sigils that have a magical impact upon probability, luck, fortune, and favor.
