Astral Plane

Upon entering Clara, the mage is able to perceive the Astral Plane -- the crossroads of the all the essence planes that magi from different spheres access to channel the essence they need to shape in order to cast their spells.

In the Astral Plane, there are a number of creatures completely alien to Aelyria. One in particular, initially contacted by Impress <forgot name>, are the Astral Whales. Appearing as long, cigar shaped beings with flowing tentecles covering their bodies. They "swim" through the Astral Plane on th power of their minds, eating and sustaining themselves on small "pricks", points of psychic energy that leak in form the material plane and Gorgrins, an astral being appearing something like a giant jellyfish, complete with electrifying tentacles. They are an intelligent race and quite friendly, as the Impress reported.
