Meeting with Fabian Hagen (private, Alexis please)
following on from the Governers Mansion
Alicia took the missive from Fabian and read it. As she did a smile crossed the young elf's face, for there were few people in the Empire that the lonely Governer of Centripax was more fond of than the Imperial Minister for War. She read the missive once, then once more and nodded.
"Now then, from this missive, it appears that you are having difficulty securing quarters and offices, yes? I could suggest that you move your offices into this building, or into one nearby in the Western City area. I can see to either of those things, depending on which would be your preference. I must admit it is good to know that there is a link for myself with the Minister for War, I am relieved and pleased by that knowledge."
She looked at the bottle and smiled "The Imperial Minister is most kind. At some point when you are off duty, perhaps you will enjoy some of this with me? If you do not know anyone here in Primus Gaudeo, it can be a lonely thing and I would be pleased to acquaint you with the city, should you wish."
She looked down at the missive again and nodded "I will reply to the Minister with due haste and speed, but first please, if you would, could you tell me what it is that you know of this place, of the Administrate of Centripax and the situation with Zerdargia and Midpoint specifically?"
She watched him carefully, sure that Alexis would have sent her a bright spark, but wanting to be sure that things were as she thought they would be.

The fellow's eyes widened slightly at that, not used to the directness of this female elf, but all the same, he couldn't not break out into a smile.
"I thank Your Imperial Excellency for your kindness in the trifling matter of offices. A simple room with a chair and desk where I can hang my hat, if you would excuse the phrase, would be sufficient for my needs. Yes, thank you," said he with a slight nod of his head, hands loose behind his waist, in the exact position of 'at ease', just as regulations demanded it.
Always, a good thing, Imperial Navy Regs. Then of course, there was the offer of sharing a social drink with the Governor of the Administrate of Centripax - an unheard-of occurence! - though rumor within the uniformed community had it that she had been the beloved of the late, great, Imperial Marshal and Imperial Minister of War Motito Gil'dae - after having been ditched by his brother, or cousin, or whatever.
The guy had taste. Averting his gaze, and without knowing it, the Cencoris' inner respect for the old elf increased.
"...perhaps another time for the tour, Your Imperial Excellency." said he with a bit of hesitation. "Duty calls, as always." This much was true. Besides, what would His Imperial Ex say about that?
Another curt smile and nod.
"I know very little of the Administrate, ma'am, except for the fact that the dwarves, handy fellows that they are, have established quite the significant presence here, most particularly in Primus Gaudeo. I know for a fact that Primus Gaudeo was struck by falling rocks from the heavens, similar to what happened in Imperia, totally destroying the Concordia Incola, before it was rebuilt. I know that Midpoint was the temporary Imperial Capital when Her Late Imperial Majesty Audrey - may the Gods bless her - won that victorious battle in the Highlands against the Sentinels of that crazed mage, Julos - Jorel curse him and all his line forever - and I likewise have heard tell that Your Imperial Excellency was, at one time, Steward of the said fortress."
A smart cookie, Cencoris Fabian Hagen was, but he knew when there were some times that he was pushing it.
...But dammed if it didn't feel good when he knew that he was doing so.

She smiled softly, amusement lighting her eyes slightly as he spoke his reply. "I wasn't aware that they gave you hats as part of the uniform" she said, sweetness and humour in her voice. Oh, she missed bantering with the uniformed folks, she considered, they were always so.. Just So.
"I'll have it seen to immediately" she said, much more businesslike. And indeed, the young Governer would do just that. She would get him an office and a decent one, too. Because he seemed to be keen and eager and because she liked Alexis.
And then his discussion on the Administrate of Centripax, which she listened to intently and nodded. INdeed. Correct on all counts, I would say. And as of now, what is your understanding of the situation with Midpoint at the moment? Is it a city in its own right? What is its standing?"
She looked at him and smiled slightly, wondering whether this chap was going to be fun. She rather thought so.

The fellow felt unbelievably flattered, for here was the Governor treating him as if he were some long-lost relation instead of but a humble servant of the Empire, someone with no provenance, and not much else save for his uniform and rank, really. Clearing his throat, he set eyes on her, trying to remember what he;d all but been forced to memorize.
"Midpoint was its own city, I think, because it was able to send a Senator to prime back when julos was pretending to be Emperor. I'm not exactly sure...but I did hear that it's still being un today by a Steward, I think. Not exactly sure who appoints that Steward, but I expect that would be you, Your Imperial Excellency, being Governor of Centripax and all."
He started to stammer, which was not a good thing.
"Of course, I'm not able to get much, because the Alyssans can be something of a clannish sort, not wanting to speak much about their history and all."
