Talking with the Boss(Keldon)
Tylag finished his shift with Grantor and was preparing to head out of the mansion into the city. The male dwarf ad been wondering about the loyalty of the soldiers who guarded Keldon. The thane was not well known to the male dwarf since they had met only once.
The meeting was somewhat as the Thane and a group of his soldiers had shown up at Maiai Woodruffs house. Tylag wondered what had happened to the female human and if she was still living in the city. "Did you ever find the fmily member she was looking for" The dwarf said.
Tylag walked thorugh the mansion until he found a member of the Thane's bodyguard. "Do you know where the Thane is." Tylag asked politely. The fellow guardsman pointed Tylag in the direction the guard had last seen the Thane.
Tylag followed the mans instruction telling himself he just needed to see if there was time to schedule a moer officous visit to hopefully get to know the Thane.
OOC:Sorry f the ws a little out of line just trying to get the meeting in before the season changes.

Keldon was in the rear of the Thanal Estate, he was sitting on the rim of a fountain that was in the center of the thanal garden, lost in his own thoughts about life, love, and the future.
OOC: Feel free to talk to me whenever hehe

Tylag finally found the Thane back in the gardens. The directions had pointed him to the general direction of Keldon but locating the Thane had been a little difficult and and had taken some searching in the garden. The dwarf felt a little stupid he n he found the Thane in the center of the garden sitting on a rim of the fountain.
The dwarf saw the Thane and walked up to where he was sitting hoping the Thane wasn't busy with something at the moment. As the dwarf got closer he saluted and said "Serale M'lord how is your brightening." The dwarf asked politely.

Keldon looked up from the surface of the water and smiled to the guard who was now infront of him. "Serale Constable... Tylag" He said, after he searched his mind for the names on the roster assigned to the Thanal Estate. "The brightening could be worse I assume, although it is lined with headaches. Yourself?"

The male dwarf listened as "Aye the brightening could be worse." At the mention of headaches the dwarf answered. "As for headaches I don't know how to help with the headaches your days are lined with, I live a simple life. I get up in the morning and come to work to guard you and your manor, and I go back and spend some time with your personal guards and I do it it keeps it simple."
The dwarf leaned in and said in a whisper"Although if you were looking for a way to at least temporarily get rid of some headaches my father said a good cure for a rough brightening was a strong ale in a tankard, or I guess tea works good depending on your taste. Aye, a good ale I reckon can solve most problems " Tylag said jubliantly.

Keldon rubbed his head briefly and smirked. "Aye, a good ale solves alot of problems. But alas only temporarily I doubt they would solve the problems of the Imperial Empire... or the Imperial Army for that matter." He let out a brief sigh.
"So how are you liking your time here in the city guard? Has Captain Yarrow been a effective leader thus far to yourself?" He asked briefly

"Aye only temporary. a pity that. Ale probably creates more problem for the Imperial army. I am enjoying my time as a city guard it is different expierence for me. Something besides being a wanderer, and a bodyguardwhich I have been doing recently. Captain Yarrow has been a great leader. You were lucky to find such a competent leader for your guard."
Tylag remembered something Keldon had just said. "What about the Imperial army are they increasing their prescence here in Primus Gaudeo or has there been disturbances in the province which require greater authority than can be justified by the Provincial. Tylag asked speculating wildly to the elves mention of the Imperial army.

Keldon nodded his head with a smile. "I am pleased that Yarrow is being a capable leader for you Tylag. It would make releaving her of duty rather difficult being my daughter and all." He said with a brief laugh then frowned once more. "Oh no, atleast not as far as I know. The Imperials have more then enough troops in Primus Gaudeo. It is more or less where they need more troops..." He said paused for a moment. "Recently I have been ordered to the Imperial Capital for service in the Army."
OOC: Eeeps! We need a timestamp.

OOC: Sorry about the timestamp.. I just put a generic timestamp up if we need a more specific one for your FT I can change it.
IC: Keldon smiled when Tylag mentioned Yarrow was being a good captain and a leader. Keldon shook his head when the dwarf asked aboutKeldon's mention of the Imperial army. Keldon answered Tylag's Inquiry by saying he had been ordered to the capital for service in the Imperial army
Tylag was stunned it had not what he had been suspecting. The dwarf had not expected the Thane to leave so soon after gettting a job in his guard. "Well congratulations are in order. But with you leaving what happens to Yarrow and the rest of your guard. Do they go with you or are they left to hope the new Thane retains them in their positions." Tylag wondered out loud

Keldon shook his head. "No the guards are assigned to the city and may work for who they please. Captain Yarrow is going to be going on leave approved by me for her own personal issues.. as for the new thane... it will be a dwarf apparently. Just recently appointed by the Lady Governor... weather correct or not is to be seen..." Keldon ended his sentence with a little concern. "I highly doubt any of the guards will be interested in following me into the service of the army. It is a much different world then they are used to. The amount of discipline the military entails is far different then that of a local guard." He said with a smile then sigh. The life he was used to up until now was going to change drastically.

Keldon clarified the guards positon in the city for Tylag. Tylag was suprised when Keldon said the new Thane was a dwarf. Tylag detected a little something in Keldon's voice but wasn't sure what it was. It seemed like concnern but the dwarf wasn't sure exactly.
"well uf the new Thane is dwarvishtaht will make some of the dwarves fell better. I can't imagine them beign happy with a elf in charge over them. "Tylag then looked mortifed as he realized what he said "no offense meant to you."

Keldon nodded his head slowly. "No offense taken Constable, and perhaps it will please people to have a dwarf in office. However I do not know about you, or much of the dwarven populace of the city. However I would rather have someone who could do the job correctly in office... regardless of race." He said with a brief sigh. "But I suppose the colors of the new thane will be presented in time." He said dipping his hand in the water and rubbing his fingers together then looking upwards to Tylag. "So where you concerned that you were going to be coming with me into the Imperial Legions?" He said with a smile.

"maybe it will please the dwarven populace to have a dwarf running things, but I agree with you. Regardless of which race a person is I do prefer competence over someone just being appointed for popularity and to instill some form of legitimacy in the eyes of some."
The dwarven constable was releived the elf had not been offended by Tylag's earlier comment. The elf dipped his hand into the fountain. The elf then asked The male dwarf if he was afraid to go with Keldon into the Imperial Legions.
Tylag responded "Afraid of going into the Imperial Legions." the dwarf shook his head as he spoke. "Nay I am not afraid of going into the Legions. I asked becasue some of the guards may have settled into their positions and enjoy their current jobs but they may not like the rigidity of the military."

With a smile Keldon looked back to Tylag, "Indeed, however the guards here have signed no agreement to serve in the Army nor is there a time of direct war. So it would be unpresidented for me to draft them into service. Although perhaps one day it will be a requirement." Looking to the man with a quirked brow he smirked. "Interested in tagging along?" He said with a brief laugh.

Tylag listened as Keldon said there was no precedent for the Thanal guards to be conscripted into the military. Tylag was suprised when Keldon asked if the male dwarf wanted to tag along with the ex Thane into the Imperial army.
"Interesting proposition. Surely the Imperial army just doesn't conscript someone serving as a Thane for a common foot soldier. If I may ask what will the Imperial army have you doing sir." Tylag asked politely "Now if I tag along will I just be continuing my duties as a member of the Thanal guard but just relocated or just a travelling companion" The dwarf asked. 'Also wehn are you planning on leaving Primus Gaudeo?" the male dwarf asked curiously.
