Yarrow rubbed her templs thoughtfully as she entered the manor. The guards gave her a smart salute, but today it was obvious that she was distracted. It was rare that she didn't acknowledge her men. They watched her move deeper into the manor with a raised eyebrow, but as soon as she was out of sight they shrugged and went back to watching and talking.
Yarrow moved through the manor like it was her own house. It felt more of a home to her then the rented flat they had paid for, but it wasn't. Yarrow stopped a maid who gave her a quick curtsey.
"What can I help you with, Captain?" She asked sweetly.
"Is Lord Keldon around?" She asked the maid, who nodded. "Where?" The maid pointed her in a general direction and she moved off to find the Lord of the manor.
Keldon was standing in the kitchen munching on a apple, a wide grin on his face as several thoughts passed through the Lord Thane's mind. He wouldn't notice Yarrow enter he would just stand there and munch. OOC: OMG SOOOOO Soorry love, I thought i replied to this... *whistles*
A wide grin spread upon her face as she realized he hadn't noticed her. "BOO!" She said loudly and her grin grew. "What are you eating?" She asked after a moments pause.
Keldon jumped slightly and turned around to face her, she wanted to know what he was eating so he tossed the half eaten apple at her with enough speed to wake her up. "Answer your question?" He said with a quick smirk.
Yarrow almost dropped the thing, but juggled it instead until she got a firm grip on it. Then with a grin she tossed it back to him. "Yes it does." Yarrow told him with a laugh before becoming serious. "I need to talk to you about something..." Yarrow said with a sigh. For once she looked very serious and that was something rare.
Keldon caught the apple and took another bite as she spoke nodding his head slowly. He in truth had something he needed to talk to her about aswel. The fact that she would no longer be working for him was something I am sure she wanted to know. "Good, then by all means take a lean against the counter... as we need to speak to you Captain..." Keldon said taking out some some folded paper from a pocket in his pants. He held it briefly looking down at it with a emotionless look, until he smirked briefly.
Looking to Yarrow the smirk still on his face. "Captain, by the end of this month a new Thane shall be taking office... and I shall be making my way for Natura and then the Imperial Capital..." He said extending his hand outwards towards Yarrow to hand her the document.
The seal on the letter was broken but once opened there were several documents containing the following
Secrets :

To Keldon Elsdragon,
I have heard of your great deeds in Paxia from the last season and I have made the decision to summon you to Alleria Prime to receive your commission. Please present yourself before me as soon as possible in Alleria Prime.

Keldon remained there looking at her waiting for her reaction.
"I worked under Sheng Kaldres for a little while." Yarrow told him, handing back the letters. "Are you happy about this?" She asked him after a moment of hesitation. It seemed like Sheng Kaldres had ordered Keldon to see him for a commission. I am glad I am not under Sheng's radar. She thought as she leaned up against the counter.
Keldon sighed briefly. "Well to be honest, I am slightly concerned. It is not something I would prefer to do. Military service is appealing to me, and I had once considered it. However the burden on ones shoulders is large... perhaps the same as being Lord Thane... although it feels much larger for those in command of armies... atleast to me... Although it will be a interesting experience, and I am honored that I am to be considered for such a thing. It was rather unexpected to say the least... I did not expect anyone to remember me at all after Paxia. Just fade away... apparently I was wrong." He sighed again. "So tell me, why where you under Sheng? What type of person is he?"
"I wasn't under him for very long." Yarrow told him. "He took command in Abestat while I was there. Things had gotten rather slow in Abestat at that time and I had decided to move on. He was the officer I went to to tell him I was leaving." Yarrow shrugged her shoulders. "I really could not tell you much about him to be honest because I was not under him long. I am sure he has even forgetten all about me." Yarrow told him with a shrug.
Keldon nodded his head slowly with a grin. "I am not aware of anyone who could forget someone... such as yourself..." He said with a wide smile looking at Yarrow. "Well now... you have that... oh all concerned look on your face.... unfortunately I have been blessed to see it several times of the eighty some odd years of interacting with the opposite sex... so tell me...." His grin curled a little. "daughter..." the word almost made him laugh a little, Yarrow appeared to be Keldons age, perhaps a little older or younger depending. But Keldon was much older. "What seems to be on your mind?"
Yarrow did laugh when he called her daughter. She didn't seem him as a father figure even though he was much older then herself. No, she had always seen him as a brother.
"Well..." Yarrow hesitated. "I'm pregnant." She finally blurted out and waited for his response. It was a big surprise to her...thinking they had been so careful, but not careful enough it seemed.
Keldon grinned at the news and walked upto Yarrow placing his hands on her shoulder. "That is wonderful news Yarrow... hmmm baby things... great..." Keldon rubbed his head briefly "So how is Rhys taking the news that he is going to be a father?"
Yarrow smiled at the hand around and leaned into it. "He is taking it very well. We went to the healer together to hear the news." She paused. "It's going to be a boy she says...the healer I mean... I think it is I who does not fully comprehend it all." She shrugged her shoulders. "It has not sunk in yet that I am going to be a mother."
Keldon grinned and nodded his head. "Well I assume you will be needing a leave of absence, and since I will be the one still leading this city for another month you can consider it granted. It can start at the beginning of next month. Rhy's can provide for you for awhile... hmmm I suppose this means's you two are to be wed and I will be welcoming him into my family..." he said with another smile.
Yarrow shook her head. "I have never been normal. I don't want to get married and Rhys knows that... besides...getting married because of a child coming along is the wrong reason to get married." Yarrow shrugged her shoulders and laughed. "But yes I need to leave sadly, but I am looking forward to another stage of life...motherhood will be interesting to say the least." Yarrow said with a grin.
