Invitation to the Governor

Lunaria, the second cycle of Cryxatum, Era XIII

To Her Excellency, Lady S'Alvia, Governor of Centripax,

Lady Nell du’Galle hereby extends her invitation to the Alleria Prime Equine Races to be held in the Tourney Fields of Alleria Prime during the second cycle of Optia, this spring. This event will be the highlight of the social calendar for the Capital this Spring and along with a series of races to be enjoyed by all, you are invited to join His Most Imperial Excellency, Regent L’Evienne and his family in the Regent’s Enclosure, from which to watch these races. The Equine Races will conclude with the Equine Affair Ball at the end of the cycle. In the cycle prior to this event, there will also be a Horse Fair held in the Tourney Fields at which we expect the major stables of the land to display their finest horses for sale, culminating in a grand horse auction, alongside a charity auction for the benefit of the Healers’ College of Alleria Prime at the end of the cycle.

During these two cycles, Lady du’Galle would be delighted if you would be her guest at the Imperial Palace, and such arrangements for your stay will be made on receipt of your reply. To aid such arrangements please mention such details as the number of your party and if you will be attending for the whole period or only part of the time. Please note that any personal guards will also be given accommodation but no weaponry is permitted within the Imperial Palace. If you have any special requirements, please also give notice of this in advance.

Finally, although this is a social event, Lady du’Galle is very much aware that this would be a welcomed opportunity for the Regent and herself to meet with you. In particular it would be an occasion to speak of matters of the Empire and to explore political ideas in an informal setting and to this end it is proposed that on the evening of Lunaria, the 10th brightening of Optia, there is held a symposium at the Palace where all Governors of the Provinces may enjoy the hospitality of the Regent whilst exchanging their political views. Guest speakers are being arranged to open the symposium – and indeed her Ladyship hopes that such meetings become a regular event, where Governors may meet and speak with the Regent and each other.
