[Thanal Manor] Disturbance at the gates

Tradieus

As Tradieus reached the gates to the Thanal Manor, and started to instruct the guards that the two people with him, were in his company and gave his thanks they quirked his brow and didn't move. "Oh thats lovely and dandy, Sir. However we would like to see your Visa, along with theres, and a reason why they are at the estate in your company." The guard to Tradieus left stated, briefly looking to a piece of parchment the Thane provided them with a list of names for those who were to attend the meeting. Both of the guards watched Tradieus waiting for a response.

OOC: Entrance to this thread was supposed to take place through the Manor's main thread located here, http://www.alleria.com/forums/showthread.php?t=61360 please don't automatically assume instant entrance to the Thanes Manor. Tradieus's entrance can be fixed in this thread, and Godahs can be allowed however please assume he presented his Visa and the guards looked at you rather curiously.

Tradieus gave both the guards a dirty look. Clearly they didn't know who he was or they wouldn't be stopping him. Also! What sort of Thane stopped people outside of his manor? It may be the Thanes home what it was given to him by the people. During his own time as Lord Thane of Diana his home had been open for all to come and go as they pleased. Keldon was either paranoid of outsiders or simply just rude.

"As I said before, my name is Tradieus Kha'Serith. Here is my visa if you must have it." The large dracon handed over his military ID and his Imperial Visa with a disdainful grunt. "Rumen, Morton, hand these two beings yours too please." He indicated and they both did without a word.

This was already turning out to be a trip that was irritating him. This had better be something useful and worth his while. If it ended in bickering and the like he was just going to arrest all of them and be done with it, Lord Thane or not.

The guard looked over the list for the guests to attend then back to Tradieus handing him his Visa then looking over the other two and cross checking it with the membership roster. "Welcome to the Thanal Estate Mr. Kha'Serith, however your guests are not on the roster for the Lord Thane, and per orders of our superiors only those who are invited are to be permitted onto the grounds." the guard said handing the two men there Visa's.

Tradieus snorted loudly at the guards. "These men are not just guests. They, like yourselves, are bodyguards. They come with me everywhere I go, just as I am sure you or other likes yourself travel with his Lordship." He explained crossing his large arms.

"Now gentlemen, you either allow my men inside or you fetch the Thane himself."

One of the guards started to chuckle when Tradieus, in his mind he was thinking about a junior officer in the Imperial Legion requiring a body guard, TWO at that. The guard was wondering where the Legion got all this money to pay for Junior Officers to have bodyguards... but then he remembered it came out of his pocket and his friends. The other guard smirked and shrugged. "Well, Sir." Briefly looking to the other two, "You can disguard your weapons here and then proceed. However your 'bodyguards will not be permitted past the main foya." He said with a smirk and waited for them to give them there weapons.

Once done he would allow them to move past and upto the main doors where the guards would allow them inside, however the guards in the Foya would not allow his two bodyguards past the main entrance hall.

It was sad really, these two men obviously didn't know a lick about the Imperial Legions. As it looked to Tradieus the two of them were sad examples of soldiers anyways, doubtful they would be accept into the legions.

"I will take my leave gentlemen. Tell his Excellency that the actions of his men have caused offense and to expect a letter in the future from myself. Good day to you." Tradieus turned quickly on his heal, his wings whipping around to muck with the guards.

As the mud flew into one of the guards face he grunted a little, the guard beside him who happened to be a human was not so happy with the mud flying at him and rang a bell that was located in the gatehouse almost a foot away from him. As the bell rang it echoed over the wall and into the compound, a second bell started to ring towards the rear of the compound.

The guard who had the mud flung into his face wiped it clear and squinted, the human placed his hand onto his sword. "Halt!" He shouted pointing towards Tradieus the second guard now rapping his hand around the pommel of his sword aswel.

Tradieus already forgotten about the plebs at the Thanes manor was already having a conversation with Rumen. That was until the half-dwarf shouted out "HALT!" and rang some stupid alarm.

"Now what?" He sighed to himself as he turned around.

Seeing both guards with hands on their weapons he sighed even louder. The Paladin in his shining white armor coughed shallowly into a steel covered hand before he placed his hand on his own weapon. The ring of metal on metal sounded through the air as he drew it halfway out of its scabbard, the weapon instantly igniting when touching the air. So too did Morton lay a beefy hand on the bottom part of the giant battle axe that was strapped to his back.

"Stand down gentlemen, there is no need for this." Tradieus commented loudly enough to be heard by the guards. He didn't need to look at his two friends to know that they would spring into action if any came to close. "Now will you call for the Thane or do I have to do so myself?"

The guards withdrew there swords at the sight of the blade. "Seeth your weapons or the punishment shall be worse. Threatening a guard of the city is far more severe then assault on his Lordships guards." He said holding his sword now drawn in his hands. The sound of metal clashing onto the ground could be heard as guards from around the compound moved briskly towards the entrance of the estate. It would not be long before three or four archers were at gatehouse above them looking downwards.

It was likely the end of this guardsmen career for a foolish stunt like this, but it would definitely be a interesting day for everyone.

This was really getting out of hand, the sad human had all of the hot bloodedness of his kind.

"No such weapon has been drawn master, what are you anyways?" Trad asked looking at him with a cool smirk. "You dear boy, along with your companions, have unsheathed your weapons. Doing so unlawfully against a member of Her Holy Majesty's men is something I do not recommend every do. So if you would be so kind as to have his Lordship come out I would be more then glad to tell him about this...oversight in your duties." This was getting old and the human was becoming annoying.

The guard lowered his weapon slightly, mainly due to the fact six more guards came through the gate behind him, all of them held the handles of there weapons. However when they caught sight of Tradieus and his companions weapons half withdrawn there grip quickly tightened and withdrew there blades partway aswel. Inwe the fool who started this now looked to Trad, "I am placing you, and your companions under arrest for assault on the cities guards. Relinquish your weapons or we shall remove them for you." Inwe barked not advancing but he was rather confadent due to the sheer amount of people who where there, and those who were on there way.

The clapping of boots on stone could be heard from above as the archers started to man there positions. It was a wonder what they were all thinking, considering this was now the second time Inwe triggered the alarm without cause.

Was he serious? Now come on, this was a waste of everybodies time.

"Rumen, Morton weapons away." He said keeping his dark eyes on the half-dwarf. Rumen looked at Trad then did as he was told, Morton took his hand away from the strapped axe. There was no need to make this go any further.

"In the name of Diana and her Imperial Army I ask that you stand down. There is no need for any of this. There has been no offense done here, only a man with a bruised ego. I ask, kindly, for one or all of you to fetch the Thane." He said spreading his hands open and gesturing to the guards in the are.

Inwe smirked at the notion. "So you deny having assaulted my fellow guardsmen only moments ago? Is that how the Legions trains its troops to believe they are above the law?" He said in a rather irate voice Inwe motioned for one of the troops behind him to come and one did, why was beyond anyone but he spoke to him and the guard moved off behind the small group of guards towards the estate.

By this time five archers had reached the gatehouse walls, atleast ten more were moving in visible sight towards the area. Those on the walls already had there bows withdrawn and loaded with a long wooden arrow, they were not aware of the details however an alarm had been raised and they would man there stations until told otherwise. Ten more guards exited the gates of the estate and started to fan out in a circular pattern around the trio.

A barking laugh exploded from the lip less mouth of the large bronze. He almost bent double with laughter.

"Your fellow was not assaulted dear fellow. Whatever was done to him was not done to him by my hands. Instead he was assaulted by some dirt that was in the air and landed on him." Tradieus explained still chuckling to himself.

"Also, beware the words you speak about the Imperial Legion. It is a punishable offense to speak ill towards it." He words still happy and full of mirth, yet held a slight taint of warning.

Inwe smirked again, "But your actions led to the object contacting towards the guardsmen, Sir. And that, is a crime many around the Empire have been tried and punished for much less," By now there was a much larger force coming from the main estate as it could be heard as the metal thud hit the stone paved road to the main door.
