Raliric Ered`Gard is an upstanding Citizen
[Lt. Gov’s Office] – Setting what’s Right to Rights

OOC: This thread is going to be the initial planning thread with PG and Centripax’s support of Zerdargia, as well as the correspondence thread for that venture. Thus any updates or letters that come from Zerd to Raliric regarding the venture will be posted here and a suitable reply will be given. Cheers.

Morning.

Raliric, after returning from Zerdargia, went straight to work on ensuring that dwarven city was well on its way to being rebuilt. Having planned the construction of the Citadel and worked with a brilliant group of Architects and Engineers to do so, thus he sent out for the four dwarves that had become the leading engineers and architects in the province, or at least the ones that Baron Davion Jaq’len believed to be the leading engineers and architects in the province.

It did not take long before the four dwarves were assembled in the reception of the Lieutenant Governor’s Office and awaited entry; Raliric did not keep them waiting long. He opened the door and moved out to see them, smiling at seeing the men who had made the Citadel a possibility. ”Gentlemen, lets make out way to the conference room.” It was the very same room they had discussed the Citadel’s construction and it was there that he would continue the tradition of rebuilding and building within the province.

Once they were all inside, seated and suitably given a drink of their choice, Raliric began. ”First and foremost I would like to thank each of you for taking time out of your schedules to meet with me on this urgent matter. I did not tell you exactly why you were called here this brightening but I believe that each and every one of you will agree with me about the urgency and necessity of what I propose.” He paused and opened one of the many pieces of documentation he had on the table, this one was a map of Centripax. He pushed it out so that it was between the four dwarves, two of whom sat on either side of the table. It was an average map that each of the men in the room had looked at hundreds of times in their lives thus far and would no doubt look at hundreds of times more. The next map he placed down on top of the Centripax map was that of Zerdargia from the Government cartographers.

”Zerdargia. Recently attacked and sustained a massive amount of damage, needs to be rebuilt. It is a bastion for the dwarven might and legacy of this province and I for one will never idly sit by and see that legacy disgraced or dwindle. No more than four brightenings ago I was in Zerdargia and saw how the reconstruction was faring, it was not going well; at least not as well as I had been led to believe. This has to be remedied. That is the reason why I have called all of you to this meeting. In my opinion you are the best Engineers and Architects in the province and it would be foolish of me to seek out anyone else to fulfill this contract.” He paused to gauge what reactions were on the faces of the dwarves. They were all in complete agreement, some appearing more enthusiastic at this stage than the others, though that was to be expected with the information that had been given out thusfar.

”Primus Gaudeo and the Centripax Government have a major industry for granite and marble, however we also have a large percentage of labourers, the very same who made the Citadel possible. I propose hiring those labourers again, and donating a large sum of granite to the re-construction of Zerdargia. All of which I would like to remain under the expert eye of the four of you, in conjunction with the Zerdargian engineers currently at work. I am no engineer and no architect as we found out when discussing the Citadel,” He paused for a short laugh, which was accompanied by the dwarves’ bass baritone chuckles. ”and thus I’m leaving it up to you gentlemen to tell me what I can do to help you and the Zerdargians finish reconstruction that city. At this stage you have all of the information I can provide, the rest is up to you unfortunately.”

Kilor was the first to speak; he was the dwarven architect out of the bunch and would be looking into the architectural reconstruction of the dwarven city. Kilor stands about 4½ feet and weighs almost 100 kilos by the look of it, most being muscles and bones. He has brown hair and dark eyes. His skin is reddish in colour and he wears a lot of jewellery, especially in his long brown beard. He wears colourful designer clothes. He's a very isolated person who is well organized. He's part of the largest construction company in the Centripax Province. ”I’ll need plans, and better maps than provided here. Those walls, last time I laid eyes on them, had holes in them all over the place, it’ll be hard to reconstruct them and might even just be best to rip sections down at a time and construct new ones, foundations and all. A massive undertaking in itself, but that’s more Babin’s area. Suffice to say that I’ll need plans, Raliric.”

Raliric nodded, agreeing completely. ”I agree, those plans will no doubt be with the Aedile of Zerdargia, or the Aedile’s Head Engineer.” Kilor nodded, taking out a folded piece of paper and a piece of coal so that he could write down some notes and plan of action for his part in the reconstruction.

The next to speak was Babin. Babin's job was normally as a Castle Engineer. He had been the one who put most of the planning and work into the construction of Raliric’s Citadel and the town surrounding. However the Citadel was the first castle he had completed from scratch, the rest he had merely repaired, which meant that this job was more what he was used to. He specialized in the construction and design of fortresses, castles, keeps, etc. He has built only a few and is usually hired to repair keeps and castles. Babin is almost the same height as Kilor but clearly not as bulky and squared and Raliric guesses that he weighs much less than Kilor. Babin has brownish skin along with a reddish hue to his hair and beard. He has dark blue eyes and little decoration. He wears normal dwarf clothes that seems dark and brown to most but dwarfs have 150 names for different hues of brown and his clothes are probably colourful in the eyes of his people. Babin is a quiet type who keeps to himself. ”Well it certainly aint gonna be easy. Those walls and the buildings inside were might destroyed when last I set eyes on the city, it’ll be hard work, first we gotta get rid of the top ground debris and sort out what we can still use and what we’ll need to be getting more materials for. If your willing to get Centripax to donate granite and manpower than that’s a mighty fine way to start. I’ll take the manpower before the granite as we aint got no where to store it. Best thing I can do for ya is get to Zerd and chat with whose in charge, then I’ll have a better understandin on whats needen doin.” He nodded and that was that. Raliric had nothing to say in reply and thus inclined his head in thanks and looked to the next dwarf who spoke.

Gimtur is responsible for most of the siege weapons constructed for the Phoenix Legion. He owns a squadron of engineers who are assigned to build and steer complex siege weapons owned and pied by the Phoenix Legion. Gimtur looks like Babin's brother but his personality is much different. Gimtur is opposite in personality in that he is open and talkative and seems more than happy to help Raliric. He seems happy and multicultural. He likes other races and doesn't keep to the dwarf ways. He listens carefully when any race talks to him about weapons and defensive tactics. ”I’m happy to help. I’ll just need to see what I’m dealing within in Zerdargia before I start to plan where we can improve their defenses for next time. I’m sure there are plenty of young engineers in the city willing to assist me in that area as well.” That was it, short and sweet.

And last but not least, Thazim. He is actually not an engineer but a spellcaster of Ikos, runic magic. He will be available to suggest enchantments and magic to the re-construction of the dwarven city, not only from his own sphere but from any other sphere that has been actively used in construction to date. Thazim has a strange appearance in that he resembles a human in skin, hair and eyes. He is blond and has blue eyes (viking like, he even dresses like a viking). He's very barbaric, cold, and offensive in his spellcasting. ”I’m in, hand me over those two Elementalists I worked with last time and it will be a piece of cake.” Raliric smiled and nodded. Then Thazim continued. ”I’ll have to chat with the Zerdargian magi though, any idea on where I might find em in Zerd?” to that Raliric shook his head.

”I’m afraid not, I have no idea where the Zerdargian Magi would be. The Veldar Compound might be the best place to begin the search, though I’m sure anyone will help you given your there to assist in the reconstruction of their city.” Thazim nodded in agreement and then fell silent. Raliric looked to the group once more. ”Well, I am glad that you are all on board in this, it pains me that it has taken this long for the province to give a more active hand in the Zerdargian reconstruction; better late than never though I suppose.” He paused and then handed out a piece of paper which detailed how much Primus Gaudeo and Centripax was willing to donate. Though Raliric had yet to actually discuss this with the government of Primus Gaudeo itself, he would ensure that everything he offered was given, no matter who he had to go through to do it.

Secrets :

- 1,000 tonnes of granite per era, until the city has been completed.
- 3,000 labourers of various races, all with experience and some skill in construction, for as long as needed.
- A detachment of Phoenix Legionaries to assist in the construction of the Labourer camp outside the city walls and to ensure the security of those labourers outside the city walls. They will also be on hand to assist in the enforcement of law and order within that camp, and to discipline any labourer who breaks the law in or around Zerdargia.
- Food supplies for the Labourers and Legionaries.
- Materials supplies for the Labourers and Legionaries (including tools, camping equipment, etc)
