First Darkening of the First Cycle in the Month of Cryxatum, in the Season of Spring; Era I of the Celestine Mandate, Era XIII Post Fractum. The First Era of the Regency of Milo L'Evienne.

Keldon moved through the garden slowly, walking around watching as the snow started to melt. The weather was becoming warmer, the wind was not kicking around so many bitter cold gusts as it had been doing over the winter. The garden looked rather remarkable during the night as various candles adorned the pathway he was on. He walked slowly until he came to the dwarven steel door that secured a rear entrance to the Guard House that sat on the Thanal Estate, he was informed Captain Woodruff was currently in the building and he decided to have a chat with her, as he had been rather busy lately.

Entering the house several guards that happened to be walking the hallway that the door connected to saw Keldon and came to attention almost instantly and it made Keldon chuckle a little. "You know there is no need for that gentlemen..." He glanced and noticed there was a single female present. ".. and madam, you are off duty so no need to be all uppity with formal practice. Go enjoy your leisure time." He said moving through the opening made in the center of the hall as they started to move away slowly making sure he was being truthful and not just testing them. He wondered the building for a brief time until he caught sight of the Captain and moved closer, she was unaware of his presence and then he spoke perhaps four feet behind her. "Good Darkening Yarrow,"

If Yarrow had not recognized his voice she probably would have jumped from her skin, but she knew exaclty who it was. She had spent some time with the thane and now knew him a little more then most. She turned slowly and gave him a warm smile.

"My lord thane." Yarrow said with such formality, but when she found that they were alone she seemed to relax a bit. "Is something wrong?" She asked for this was the first thing that came to her mind.

Keldon smirked a little, and shook his head. "Oh nothing at all Captan, nothing at all." Moving around towards her front he grabbed a rather ruff looking chair and pulled it up taking a seat. "I figured I would have a conversation with you, that is if your duties are not keeping you occupied at the present moment." He said with a smile. "I see you on a regular basis and yet we do not talk on a large amount of things, and since you are to be so close to me perhaps it is the correct time to get to know you better, perhaps I could of done this earlier. But no time like the present I suppose."

Yarrow smiled and nodded her head. It seemed like she was going to learn even more about Lord Keldon then she had already gathered. "I always have time for you, sir." Yarrow laughed, showing perfect white teeth.

"If you have not already gathered you ARE my job." Yarrow pulled up a chair that looked as equally ruff, but it was comfortable to her.

Nodding his head slowly and slightly sideways with a smirk of his face he started to speak in a humerious tone. "That I am aren't I, that I am..." He looked at her with a warm smile. "So tell me about yourself Yarrow, where were you born, what foolish dreams did you have as a child... oh bother I am never good at starting the first personal conversation to understand a person." He said with a laugh and a gentle smirk.

"I was born in Taralon, sir." Yarrow told him with a smile. "I bet you don't know I'm a twin. Her name is Dasiy and was born after me. Growing up we were two different people, however." Yarrow told him with a laugh. "She was always in her garden and I was always with our older brother...Bonsai was...is his name." Yarrow faltered midway in her sentence for she had no idea if her brother was still living although now and then she thought she could hear him speak to her.

"Bonsai joined the military against my mother's wishes and when she wasn't looking he would tell me his tales and I always wanted to be like him... I wanted..." Yarrow laughed and shook her head sadly. The laugh didn't reach her eyes and that was rare indeed for the Captain was hardly ever sad and if she was she didn't look it. "Well he told me such lovely tales." Yarrow smiled, but once more it was a sad sort of smile.

Keldon nodded, "It is always a interesting thing the things we believe when we are young, and how much people spread there tales to the point that there are only fragments to what truly existed in there place." He said in a warm uplifting voice. "So tell me of your sister, perhaps we can talk more about him in the time to come. How does she fare? Is she nearby or back in Taralon?"

"Daisy is back back Taralon...or the last I have heard of her anyway." Yarrow sighed and shook her head. "She went crazy...just like our mother did, but I am sure her world is far better then the lonley one she was leading. She was given the house in Taralon you see after our mother passed on and I can imagine it was rather lonley for her...and then the voices started..." Ah yes the voices...Daisy wasn't strong enough to fight them...not like I was.

Nodding his head his face remained emotionless, but a curious curl was rather obvious of the edges of his lips. "Ah the house? I would presume your family line is that of some statue within Taralon?" He asked curiously, "What kind of voice's did she hear yarrow? I recall this one mage who loved to toy with my mind ever so much..." He sighed slightly. "It became rather hard to study when he did that."

"My father was a sailor, sir." Yarrow said with a smile. "We didn't have much of a name there, but we had a nice place to live." She told him. "I just know she heard voices...that's all." Yarrow wasn't so sure what the voices were like for Daisy, but if they were anything like the voices that had plauged their mother...or Yarrow herself...but she wouldn't tell Lord Keldon that. She did not know what he might think of her then.

Keldon nodded and gave her a warm smile as she spoke. "I hope your fathered loved the sea, it has always interested me however my life has pulled my into its own direction that has thus far led away from the sea." Keldon smirked a little. "Primus Gaudeo is slightly out of it's way from open waters." He said with a laugh, which was true the sea, ports, and open waters was half a continent away. "My father... well I never knew my father. My mother never spoke of him, and to this day when I ask questions about her she won't answer me. So I just simply gave up with them and moved on with my life. For all I know he could be some former Emperor." He said with a small smirk and giggle.

Yarrow nodded her head. An emperor, eh? She smiled, showing her white teeth. "Well then perhapes I should bow to you whenever I see you?" Yarrow joked and made a half bow in her chair. "I would not want to be disrespectful now." Yarrow said with the twinkle back in her eye, but it soon went out as thoughts of her father returned to her.

"My father was indeed a lover of the sea, sir. However, one voyage he took a nasty spill and broke his leg. The leg never healed proper and he was forced to give up the life of the sea." Yarrow shook her head. "That had always been hard for him and making a living on land was not as fun as the open sea." She told him. "But who could blame him? He had spent his life at sea with the rare ocassion when he met mom and fathered us..." Yarrow shruged. "That was the only life he knew."

Keldon nodded his head. "Indeed, being taken out of something you have known for your entire life can be devastating and extreamly difficult to adapt to. But he showed the ability to endure and move forward in his own way perhaps. After all here you are, working for a Thane, you commanded a guard for the most part before. So he must of done something right." He said with a smirk giving her leg a gentle kick with the tip of his foot.

Yarrow chuckled and nodded her head. "Yes he must have done something right." Yarrow agreed with him. If it weren't for their father her mother would have gone mad quicker and the three kids would have had a different life to lead.

"But they are all gone now." Yarrow told the Thane sadly. "Daisy doesn't know me, Bonsai is missing and my parents are gone... but I have Rhys and my position here and I am one strong cookie! You can't crumble me up so easily." She chuckled bring up a false grin.

"Indeed" He said nodding his head then placing his hands on his lap. "So tell me, what is going on between you and Rhys.... from the sounds of it you have been together for a rather lengthy about of time.... forgive me for saying it but is he scared of taking someones hand in marriage?" He said slowly not having any emotion in the tone to not sound to rude or blunt but he smirked. "However I do not wish to dive to deep into your private affairs Captain, feel free to not answer if you wish."
