The 20th Brightening of Cryxatum. Spring of Era I of the Celestine Mandate, Era XIII Post Fractum

Sevette closed the door quietly as she stepped out, leaving her new harp and semi-large bag by the door momentairly. She didn't want to have to haul those down the halls just to go and talk to them and tell them.... She sighed, and leaned her forehead against the smooth wood of the door. She hated to leave so soon after she, Adriana and Keldon were reunited. Especially when none of them had thought they'd ever see each other again. But if she wanted to get better at the harp, and the sword for that matter, she figured it'd be good to travel a little bit more. Her destination would end up being Jaedaxia, it wasn't all that far off, and she had heard it was big for the arts.

A moment later she straighed and headed down the hall, turning here and there. Finally, she found herself at Keldon's Office door. She idly wondered if he were awake seeing as it was still slightly early in the morning. But then again, why wouldn't the Thane be awake? With this thought she raised a fist and knocked gently on the door. Sevette waited a moment after knocking then asked, loudly, "Keldon?"

Keldon was sitting in the corner of the room closer to the book shelves near the fire, which was lit and lighting the room even in the early morning, he was wearing a rather basic suit of clothing. Very dull and not really appealing, however he had been wearing it more and more in the late evenings as he found it rather comfortable. In his hand was a book about Zerdargia and its history. He was finding it a interesting read, the dwarves had set them self up a lovely home there and it was sad to read other books containing information about how the war in Zerdargia went.

He kept the book in his hand and with a loud shout so Sevette could hear him behind the closed door. "Come on in Sevette" he said looking back to his book reading just a little more.

Sevette let herself into Keldon's office when she heard him allow her in. She closed the door behind her and turned to face him. She was quiet for a moment, unsure of how to let him know. "I'm...," She finally began, "I'm leaving." She gave him a pause, as if to let it actually sink in. "I feel rather bad about having to leave so soon. But, I want to better myself with the harp. And I think traveling would help me with that."

Sevette sighed now that she had let him know, and looked around. "Is Adriana up?"

Keldon looked up from his book when he entered as he sensed the tension from her, just from her pose. As she first said "Im" He interluded before she could get the rest out. "Leaving..." He said with a smile as she told her about traveling. "You do not belong here Sevette and you know it just aswel as I do." He said putting his book onto the small table beside him sitting upwards, putting his feet onto the ground. "Adriana is likely awake, were abouts would be beyond me. I am told she frequents her balcony to gaze at the city before she starts her day." Crossing his legs he smiled briefly. "How do you think she is going to take the news of your departure?"

Sevette sighed and turned her gaze to the floor, seemingly studying it, though really she was thinking. "Her reaction is what I'm most worried about," She replied in a whisper. As the fire warmed her, she looked up at Keldon and smiled. "But she has you now. She'll be fine. Besides, if either of you need me back you can call for me. My destination is Jaedaxia."

Keldon nodded his head. "She may have me, but she views me rather different then she views you. I am a partner, you are a close friend. There are great differences and she does not know anyone here aswel as you. It will make her a little uneasy to hear you are leaving..." Keldon paused briefly, standing up moving towards Sevette. He put the tips of his fingers on his right hand under the girls chin and lifted her head. "If you heart tells you, that you need to move on then follow that call. If Jaedaxia is where you think you must go to further yourself in whichever pursuit you wish, then that is where you need to go I suppose now isn't it." Keldon said in a warm voice with a soft smile.

"It is more of a question how adamantly Adriana is going to want to come with you, as I am sure she will want to follow her friend. I am not sure if she was expecting you to leave, I understood it was something that would happen sometime ago."

She looked up into her friends face and bit her lip. It was quiet for awhile, just the crackling of the fire the only noise. "You make a point," Sevette spoke quietly and diverted her gaze. "I meant to leave sooner than this, yes. But I couldn't get myself to. Its hard enough now, I just know its something I have to do."

And Keldon did have a point. Would Adriana come with her? It'd be nice to have company, but unlike herself, Sevette believed that Adriana did belong her. At least for now. Being Keldon's mistress was something that seemed to suit her friend. Sevette shook her head. "As much as she may want to, I doubt Adriana will actually come." She shrugged. "But who knows."

Smirking a little he nodded. "Of course I make a point, thats why I am a Thane. I make points and people blink." Keldon said in a humorous tone and smiled sitting back down. "You meant to leave when you needed to leave, if you should of left sooner Aslan would of guided you to do so. Since you feel you must do so, then you shall do it, and with my blessing for whatever it is worth. Although you should know you are always welcome here and have my protection should you require it."

Keldon sighed briefly. "Adriana is stubborn, it is one reason why she managed to walk away with my heart with no resistance from me. She would not want to leave her friend, she will likely want to explore the Empire and everything in it, and if that is her desire I shall not keep her from it."

"I suppouse so."Sevette laughed and leaned against the wall, crossing her arms. "Adriana's simply playing hard to get," She smiled. "You need to try harder, Keldon. But you're right, if she wants to leave, she will. And neither of us can stop her."

Keldon snickered a little. "Well I could stop her if I wanted to... I am sure I could come up with something to convince her to say... perhaps telling her I am pregnant." He said with a warm smile that started to turn into a chuckle. "So do you plan to leave today, or in the coming future? How do you plan to travel to you intended destination?"

Sevette laughed, but it was a short one and it was soon followed by a sigh. "I plan on leaving today, yes. I hope within the next candlemark or so. I'm walking, and I thought it'd do good to get an early start."

Keldon nodded. "Verywell if that is your decision, I shall offer you escort and a horse to the boarders of Centripax, however from there on you must progress by horse back, as I do not wish to send troops into Carmelyn as the relations between myself and its acting governor are not on the best of terms so to avoid political backlog I can offer transport thus far and no farther."

Sevette blinked at her friend and frowned. "Oh, Keldon. You really don't need to do that." She took a small step forward, as if to assert her point. "I'm used to traveling on foot, I really am." And she was. Traveling was something she spent a lot of her life doing. From Diana to Paxia was her longest trip, but there were plenty others. And she had learned to withstand them.

Keldon shrugged briefly "No I insist, and I am sure Adriana would have it no other way. Infact I am sure a guard can officially escort you to our boarders and afterwards no farther then Diana, perhaps all the way there. I am sure there is a guard who has some family that way and would like to visit with them before returning home."

Sevette started, and hoped Keldon didn't notice, at the mention of the city that was named after teh goddess, Diana. Months after she had arrived in Paxia, she had barely thought about the place where she had grown up. Maybe it was time to pay it a visit. She silently shuddered at the thought. But it couldn't be helped. Sevette knew she'd have to return there someday. If only for a few days.

She looked at Keldon and nodded numbly, hardly able to trust her voice. "Alright then."
