[Thanal Manor] - Hide & Seek for Love (Private;Adriana)

Ninth Darkening of the First Cycle in the Month of Cryxatum, in the Season of Spring; Era I of the Celestine Mandate, Era XIII Post Fractum. The First Era of the Regency of Milo L'Evienne.

It was late in the evening and Keldon had just returned from Concordia Incola while attending his duties as Thane. He was carrying a large docket of papers, namely various information documents, a large portion of it was the paperwork attained from his office in regards to the nobility in Centripax as the office of the Regent required a status report of said nobles. So he was bringing the information home for the evening to look it over, and jot down any major notes.

Entering the estate his first location in his mind was his office, as he moved through the main entrance hall he smiled to Arabella who took his coat with a smile, returning the greeting as he said hello and asked how her brightening had been. After a minor discussion in regards to what type of flowers I would like planted Keldon merely gave up and said to make the house look lovely and appealing, as he had no idea what was a flower, or perhaps a weed. As Arabella humeriously pointed out when he suggested planting a small 'flower' that was acutely a widely spread weed.

Once in his office he check to see if any private letters had arrived, only a small handful from the odd official, or person seeking consul, advice, or financial from Keldon on a personal level, nothing of any major importance at the exact moment. He placed the docket on the center of his desk and left the room in search of some specific conversation with someone he had had seen in several brightening due to a busy schedule... or perhaps she was avoiding him. The thought brought a grin to his face.

Keldon searched the Thanal Estate for almost two candlemarks, looking in this and that room, poking around the garden's and walls, and little to his amusement he was all but unable to find Adriana and he was starting to wonder if she was even in the grounds, Keldon had even popped his head into the small guard house in the rear of the compound to see if she was there, and she wasn't only a dozen or so off duty guards who were a little suprirsed to see the Lord Thane dropping by for a visit.

It wasn't until he had all but given up and passed by a door in the Estate that he truely had no idea what was behind it, for all he knew it was a storage closet for the maids to store there things in so they did not have to drag everything from one corner of the manor to the other. But to his curiosity he opened the door and poked his head inside, almost like a child looking for that special item and not being able to find it. His face even had that appearance.

Until his eyes met Adriana and he smiled, his heart started to beat and mind race... again. He entered the room with a smile. "Serale, Adriana." he said in a warm, soft voice.

OOC: Feel free to make-up a room you are in, after all i got lots and most are not developed heh. It isn't a bathroom or anything of that type... Keldon wouldn't walk into one of those heh, he would just shout before walking in. ^^

Adriana had been enthralled for several candlemarks, probably the better half of the day, in one dusty half-lit room. She had happened upon it by pure chance, opening a door she thought led to some sort of hidden hallway. She had been sniffing about the manor all day hunting for secret hideaways and passages. But what she had found was far more intriguing.

The door let into a short passage which then expanded into a medium-sized room. There were no windows, only numerous candles and lamps, of which a scant three were lit. Bookcases as tall as the room ran along the walls, and several cuboards stood with glass doors that showed various artifacts inside them. The room was dusty and felt very old, not from any neglect of the cleaning staff, but rather from sheer disuse. Adriana had been mesmeriazed.

She went through the bookcases, pulling out one odd volume after another, finding lots of histories, a handful of books about ancient cities whose existence was a matter of legend, and lots, lots, and lots of records. Property, purchases, marriages, deaths, inheritance, apprentices.... Though most were so old they probably had no relevant meaning. Adriana had opted to take out a book about the Arakmat desert, and was sitting in a high-backed chair with an intricate, worn design carved into it, and a plush if slightly moth-eaten cushion, hunched by one of the lamps, pouring over the script.

She didn't even notice Keldon entering the room, and jumped at his voice. Blinking at him like an owl woke from a morning nap, she smiled slowly.

"Oh! Keldon, you scared me! Home already?" She took a scrap of paper and marked her spot in the book, closing it delicately. Setting it aside, she stood and moved with grace towards the elf. There was a light of happiness in her eyes as she suddenly opened her arms and wrapped her hands around Keldon's neck, pulling his face close to hers for a quick kiss on the cheek. She grinned and whispered in his ear, "It feels like I haven't seen you in ages, love."

Keldon started to laugh as she shot out of her chair, he rather did enjoy scaring her for the entertainment, but it was always in good fun. However as she took his neck in her hands and kissed his cheek his own hands moved softly up the side of her body, the tips of her fingers pressing gently against the fabric of her clothing barely pushing pressure against her skin. His own fingers touched the skin of her neck his thumb's gently rubbing her cheeks as he pulled her close to him.

In a soft tone Keldon looked into the eyes of Adriana and started to speak "Every moment that I am away from you feels like a eternity Adriana, and every moment I walk through the doorways of this house with the anticipation of seeing you is like a rebirth of my heart and soul." He said as his fingers stopped moving around her cheek and he moved his face forward slowly his eyes locked onto hers, gazing at her softly the sense of love running through his mind and body, and rather obvious in his eyes.

Those eyes held her gaze in perfect rapture, until with a soft sigh Adriana melted forward into Keldon's arms, letting her mind drift into infinity for a few moments as she thought only of the warmth and strength of the man in her arms.

Lifting her head, the Baijani took a step back and flashed a smile at the elf. She moved into the room and swiftly blew out the few candles, grabbing one for light as she left the dark chamber. Stepping into the hall outside, she glanced at the dusky windows, and exclaimed softly, "What time is it? I must have been in there far longer than I thought!" She set the candle down on a table by the door, and looked towards Keldon. "And just what have you been doing all day love?"

Keldon smirked as she rapidly moved away from the gentle grasp of his hand around her neck, softly touching her skin. His mind had given into his heart and was ready to kiss the girl. Although she removed the chance of that, which could of been the correct thing to do. Even if it made Keldon slightly flustered inside out of the view of anyone but himself.

A brief laugh took him over as her facial expressions changed for asking the time, as she moved violently into the hall. Perhaps to escape him in a way, so Keldon started to follow behind her to the doorway. "It is just after the first candlemark of darkening. Did you get caught up in the tombs that are in that room? I was surprised to find you here, I figured you would be out and about causing trouble only Aslan could fathom." He said with a warm smirk leaning up against the door frame looking at her, the flickering light of the candle highlight the lines on her face that made her distinctively beautiful to him.

Keldons eyes shifted around the hall way briefly as he attempted to word the idea and aspirations that ran through his head... nobility. "This brightening was filled with a very large and wide variety of paperwork to send to Alleria Prime, his most Imperial Excellency the Regent has requested his staff to assemble a report on the nobility of the province. So it falls to my office to assemble the report. I decided to take the time to review the documents... it is interesting to see how many there are here. Lords, Ladies, wed together by love, some by other means. Families spanning back generations, all working together as a whole..." The prospect of marriage had crossed the Lord Thanes mind as of late, it scared the hell out of the elf regardless of the amount of strength he had. But it also have him butterfly's in his chest as he thought more about it, even more when the idea crossed his mind of with whom.

"Oh? Sounds interesting. It would be fun to see the history of all the big families, what they've done... I bet there are some surprises though!" She laughed a little, lacing her arm through Keldon's. "To the kitchen?" she asked with a grin. "I'm positively famished, I haven't eaten a thing since lunch you know!"

Keldon grinned and nodded motioning for the direction of the kitchen. "To the kitchen then!" his voice was soft. "Although I admit it is curious to read the history of the cities nobility I have been trying to decided where my house resides. As officially I am a Lord in the empire however I am curious to see where abouts I fit in the structure of nobility." He said moving towards her waiting to head to the Kitchen.

As they began moving through the vast halls, Adriana grinned up at Keldon. "Well, you're Thane of this fine city, and I imagine that puts you right at the top of their lists. And look at you! Surely all the Lords must keep one eye on you, one on their pretty young daughters. Sometimes I wonder how many gifts you actually must recieve from anonymous young women, but hide from me. Not that I'd be jealous at all, but I simply can't believe you don't get countless invitations to balls and dinners and all sorts of intriguing escapades you would pursure if only I wasn't here." Her grin was wicked, but her eyes twinkled merrily.

Keldon started to laugh with a wide grin. "You would be correct love, I could not even begin to count the amount of invitations my office receives for this and that. Yet most I turn down, why would I want to surround myself in fake beauty and masks of elegance when I can look at true beauty in my own home when I look at you." Keldon said with a smile entering the kitchen grabbing a apple off the table.

"I am also forced with the delema of having to play politics with those lords who's daughters have there eyes on me. One game is going to be rather interesting to play. The Doli Castle above Primus Gaudeo belongs to the city as it is part of our defense's. It is used mainly by a noble who no one has questioned there presence there. However I am considering with drawing my presence from this estate and moving into the Castle making it the new Thanal Residence. It will just be a question of negotiating with the local lord to talk there temper from having there home changed on them."

"Oh, a castle? Sounds majestic. That might cut down on the number of wandering questioners and sight-seers who come by the manor... Or at least they would have to walk further!" Adriana scanned the kitchen and grabbed a half-loaf of bread and cut a chunk of cheese, wrapping both in a napkin.

"Do you expect that noble to throw a fit when you inform him you'd like to move in?"

Keldon nodded his head taking a quick forceful bite out of the apple. "I believe they will be... unwelcoming to say the least. But I see very little point for a full sized castle to be under the case of the city and not be used to it fullest. This estate was once a nobles home until the city bought it to be used by the Thane. Selling it would add funds to the citys coffers and by moving the estate to the castle it would reduce the costs of upkeep as the castle already belongs and is maintained by the city itself... now the noblemen there will be the political part." Keldon said with a smile leaning against one of the many counters lined with marks from ungodly amount of knives cutting away at various foods.

"I think I could play on the provinces history and most of the nobles here are dwarven and have a rather large dedication to there society. Perhaps inviting them here or to my office for a meeting to discuss the history of the province and Primus Gaudeo would be in order... and then making subtle suggestions towards there opinion to restoring historic things and setting things right... perhaps would lesson the level of the mans anger towards the notion of having the Thane inside the Doli Castle which has remained there domain for sometime." His mind was now thinking like a politician, how to get something done by pleasing as many as he could, and without direct conflict. so much could be solved by words if people where willing. But he also had to take into account that he could simply walk in and take the castle if he wanted to, although the effects that would follow would likely not be pleasant.

Adriana shot Keldon a look of amusement. "You and your words, good sir, could convince the entire nation that you ought to have a castle built in the clouds, simply because we all come from the gods, and therefore should return to them..." She laughed, grinning. "Well, maybe not that, but I'm quite sure that whatever you desire, you will likely recieve."

She headed out of the kitchen with her food, brughing Keldon's arm as she passed him.

Keldon started to giggle a little at the flattery, "Perhaps so, but then again you could convince a army to follow on your heals with your beauty under the impression they would perhaps have a chance at a dinner if they followed you." He said with a grin as she brushed passed him.

Keldon blew a streek of air at her neck as she passed by making her hair move slightly as the breath past through.
