[Thanal Manor] - Awoken From A Romantic Slumber

Twenty First Darkening of the Third Cycle in the Month of Optiain the Season of Spring; Era I of the Celestine Mandate, Era XIII Post Fractum. The First Era of the Regency of Milo L'Evienne.

Keldon was sitting at his desk doing some writing before he went to sleep for the evening, focusing on the letter at hand he wrote the words very slowly and very carefully given the person who he was writing his concerns towards. He never thought anything would bring him to write such a person, but never the less his life had led him this far. He was Thane of Primus Gaudeo, and in the interview for this position it was made clear that as the Thane of this city he had to keep the interests of not only Primus Gaudeo, or the Province, but the Empire at large. Even though he in truth never wanted to put himself anywhere near Imperial Politics, it was now time to do so and Keldon knew it. Beside the letter he was writing was a envelope that had a letter already inside it, it was sealed with the emblem in Primus Gaudeo pressed into the wax.

It took Keldon perhaps another candlemark to finish the letter he was writing, he sighed deeply as he finished the document and stood out of his chair, leaving the piece of paper on the table. Looking towards his bed across the rather large bed chambers in his estate his eyes followed the tell tale signs of a body under the sheets that rested on his bed. As his eyes caught the first few strands of hair resting on the fabric he smiled gently. Adrianna's face could take the most beautiful appearance under the moon light, it was one thing Keldon had fallen completely in love with the women was the way she could take his breath away without doing athing.

Keldon took the second letter folding it carefully and sliding it into a steel parchment container locking it, turning the red candle on his desk over the opening he put the wax down, pressing his figure against the wax. Once he removed the parchment from the ring that rested on his finger the seal of Primus Gaudeo was what remained in its place, sealing the document.

Leaving the room for a brief second to give the missives to a messenger waiting in the main lobby, the messenger had been summoned per the Lord Thanes request to deliver these messages with the utmost seceracy as there constants where highly important to Keldon more on a personal level, and that of the mans moral values.


Once Keldon returned to his bed chamber he looked around the room again with a smile looking towards the bed moving towards the doorway looking outwards onto the Concordia Incola, the beautiful waters that surrounded it, allowing the warm, yet cool spring breeze to pass into his chambers he moved towards the bed removing the basics of his wardrobe leaving only a small amount on his person, he slowly and gently slid under the covers.

The night was filled with magic and mystery, of that it was certain. The breeze off the sea filled the room with the gentle music of the night: waves crashing, nightingales singing, the call of insects, the soft chimes to mark the passing time. They all lulled the sleeper into a dream so deep, so profound as to be something that etched marks on his soul, resounding through his mind and touching him even beyond the boundaries of time.

It started out as all dreams do... reality slowly melting into nothingness. The laws that governed time and space faded, blended, and reformed. And in that moment, Keldon's reality shifted and the sleeper found his setting slowly altering. The massive twisted wood of the enormous four poster bed slowly started taking on a feral appearance, the corners sprouting branches and leafing into vibrant greens. Vines slowly sprouted through the stones in the floor, climbing the open windows, the walls, even the ceiling itself. Soon, even the elegantly painted tiles of the ceiling were gone, faded away, allowing instead moonlight to filter through the trees that now made up the slumbering man's world. Night creatures called out, softly, and passed by as the jungle around him took on a life of its own.

The form that had been beside him flicked its tail, a sleek jungle cat with huge unblinking yellow eyes observing him with a feral hungry gaze. It had an indecision about it that bordered on savage... as if it waited to see if he would wake or if it was safe to feed.

And the smells... They were strong, pungent, first the musk of the cat, then the sweet green wild of the jungle. The scents of orchids filled the air, and a rain so fresh as to have happened only candlemarks ago. There was the soft decay of leaf litter, and the sporish mell of fungus. The bed the sleeper was slumbering on was now a thick pile of leaves, and as he awoke into this newly changed world, he'd find his flesh bare of clothing, and the chill on his skin having nothing to do with the heat of the living breathing jungle around him.

Keldon woke up and looked around at his settings. "Well isn't this just dandy... and I don't remember Adrianna giving me this many drinks..." he mumbled to himself as he stood up and looked into the darkness.

The wind going through his body as if it didn't exist. Keldon found it a little chilly, he started to move through the woods looking for anything interesting, a sign of life. A sign that read you have died, anything. Or perhaps a inlet that would shelter him from the breeze. The male body was not to found with a draft, sometimes other parts of the body withdraw in size to conserve heat and that is never comfortable. He started to slowly rub his arms for heat as he moved.

The feral set of yellow eyes gazed intently on the man sitting upon the bed of leaves rubbing his arm right next to the cat, though the darkness must have hindered his vision for no one could lay beside a feral jungle cat and not flip. The cat seemed to be contemplating on whether or not he wished to give chase or just get it over with quickly. It's long tail flicked out and brushed up against Keldon's neck, the cat waited to see what Keldon's reaction would be to seeing a large black jungle cat sitting beside him where Adrianna used to lay.

Tiny insects buzzed around Keldon's head, buzzing and stinging him any chance they got.

Keldon blinked in the darkness as the insects hummed around his ear. K"So what blasted arcanic fething dung is this, Thanal Manor to this place.... what an upgrade..."eldon mumbled to himself spitting outwards once in awhile as a bug went into his mouth.

Stepping forward something soft whacked him in the face, blinking once Keldon quirked a brow. "Thats one large bug..." he said almost sarcastically as he turned around to see yellow eyes and the figure of the animal. "Definitely one large bug..."

The cat rose, stretching, her teeth flashing white in the darkness of the night. He could smell her breath, raw and rancidly tattle-telling what she'd eaten recently, something raw and satisfying. But she was hungry again. Her tail flicked again, and she roared, the roar of a hunting cat. And she sprung, landing upon Keldon and knocking him down, growling savagely as she tried to close her jaws around his throat. Her claws dug painfully into his shoulders and he could feel her fur against the bare skin of his body... warm and musky. Her big golden eyes eclipsed his vision... absolutely eclipsed it.

The jungle around them stilled, the bird noises cut off immediately. Such was the way of the environment when one of its main predators was on the hunt. Not a sound was to be heard, save for the quite rustle of the wind through the trees as the world waited for the man's demise. Keldon had few choices. He could attempt to fight the she cat, or wait for his death.
