Offerings to the New Governor (Sharinya)

Upon hearing that the new Governor of Centripax had been selected and arrived in the city Raliric did not immediately go to meet with her. He waited for five brightenings, allowing the new governor a little time to settle in and meet her cabinet, or lack there of, before presenting himself to her and offering his services. Thus it was on the Fifth brightening of Ponutis that Sir Raliric Ered`Gard, dressed in his finest uniform of the Knights of the Argent Sword and riding his trusty war steed, approached the Complex of the Concordia Incola.

He dismounted out the front and tied the reigns to a peg pole, giving explicit instructions to the various servants whom usually took the horses or carriages of the nobles that no one was to be let near the horse or he was not responsible for what might happen. The horse was a trained war steed and as such would allow only its rider, or those it was extremely familiar with, to come near it. After advising the servants he made his way inside the Forum, his long black war cloak blowing out behind him one last time before the complex became a shield for the wind.

He moved up to one of the clerks and inclined his head. ”Serale, I would like an appointment with the Governor if she is available. I’m Sir Raliric Ered`Gard of the Knights of the Argent Sword.”

Being a fae had certain advantages although some of the staff might not think so when she popped up in places they would rather she had not been. The arrival of Sir Ralric was one of them.

"Sir Ralric..." she said speaking a little louder than usual to be sure that she was heard before she came to hove just in front of him.

"You have come to see me? Perhaps if you step into my office you can tell me to what honor I am owed a visit." she replied moving slightly to one side so that he might open the door for her.

Raliric had known fae before, though he had not been around them extensively and thus when the fae queen moved up in front of him he had to resist the urge to squint or move forward to see her better. He could tell easily enough that she was the queen of the fae and the new Governor of Centripax even if it was harder to discern detail of such a tiny creature.

”Serale Governor, or if it is acceptable to you; Sharinya.” He bowed slightly at the offer of entrance to the office and moved inside. He glanced around the room to see what she had done with the place since her arrival. He had spent a great deal of time in this room whilst under Davion Jaq’len and he had also been arrested in this very room by the order of Alicia Gil’dae. It was a room of good and bad memories, none of which he regretted. He moved to the chair that was reserved for visitors and stood in front of it until he was sure he had Sharinya’s leave to sit. Then he spoke of his business.

”I have came for much the same reason as I did to one of your predecessors, Davion Jaq’len. I have come to offer you my services in whatever capacity you see fit. I served Davion as his Personal Adviser, the commander of his personal guard and the Provincial Commander of Centripax. I continued as Provincial Commander for the late Tyribi Andares during her term in office and then for most of Alicia Gil’dae’s term, though that ended rather tragically; which I believe both of us regret. In short, your Excellency, you have my services and the services of my Knighthood and the Consulate at your disposal.” A bow of his head and then he waited to see what he reply might be.
