Keldon was sitting in his office when he walked out into the main lobby and upto his assistants desk with a smile she arose and bowed. "Serale your grace," Keldon smiled. "Please sit back down and resume whatever you were doing. But could you please send a guard to bring the Senior Officers of the Constabulary here please and they need to come right now, I do not have time for delays this brightening." He said with a warm smile, but his tone made it very clear he was serious.

After she acknowledge the order he would return to his office to look over paperwork and wait the Officers to arrive.

OOC: Quick thread adder to get the Constable and Guard merged together. Will take two or three posts if you don't mind. Just wrapping things up as best as I can IC so there is no confusion on anything.

It wasn't long before the request was fulfilled but only one man answered the request. He was a tall man, his dark blue uniform somewhat reminiscant of the Guards uniform was well tailored and contrasted with his short cropped blonde hair.

His blue eyes analysed the assistant, the scar on his cheek twitching as he spoke.
"Chrayne Gakin to see the Lord Thane." His voice was as carefully controlled as might have been expected from his fit and muscular military appearance.

"Serale Constable Gakin, please take a seat." He said with a smile. "I am sorry if I have interrupted anything by calling you here. However with no head for the Constabulary I was forced to request the most senior officer. So here you are." Keldon laughed a little, he would wait for a reply then more forward. "Now, after discussing it with the Guard Commander, I am toying with the proposal of merging the Constabulary into the guard, making it a sub-organization, and would like to hear your opinion on it."

The man took the seat that was indicated and crossed his legs, leaning back in a casual fashion. He didn't appear suprised by the suggestion though he did smile tolerantly.

"Merge with the Guard?" He raised an eyebrow and lounged back a little more. "Well it's an interesting suggestion, but I guess it depends exactly what you have in mind. At the moment the Constabulary fulfills a function that might for someone like yourself from a different city to be somewhere between the traditional Constables role and that of the Prefects." He shrugged his shoulders, "so what sort of reorganisation did you have in mind?"

Keldon nodded his head. "Indeed it does, and that is the impression I have been given from Commander Careddyn, she is the one to make the suggestion indirectly that the two organizations be merged together into one entity working under a single command structure. Which I do agree with, although I would welcome to hear your opinion into the subject. As it would put yourself and the Constabulary under the Commanders authority." Keldon said with a smile, so far he had heard nothing but good things about the commander and was given a good impression of her. But perhaps the man would object being placed under the constabulary.

Gakins eyes narrowed though the suggestion was surely not new to him, for all that he might appear to consider it now.

"Depends how you view it I suppose. Our organisations work so closely together that you might well view them as two parts of the same body. If we were merged, there are some functions that ought to be transferred into the Prefects domain in all fairness since he and the would be Constable ought to have different priorities. As for myself, I'm not fussed about who I report to and I know the Commander well enough that she won't stand for any nonsense."

He shrugged, "so if you want my blessing to the move, then you have it, and I'm sure that I can work with the Commander to make the move seamless enough that you won't need to worry about it."

Keldon nodded. "Then so long as you are content with it I see no reason in denying the Commanders, request. Report to her at once, I leave it to the two of you to decide on how the merger shall take place and will be organized. As the both of you are far more familiar with your departments then I am."

Gakin nodded. "As you wish Your Grace." There seemed little more to say and much to be done, for this merger would not happen over one brightening or even one cycle. Likely it wouldn't be done that season, if the next, but done it would be. He took his leave and went to talk to the Commander.
