As Halftpint approched the Estate from the gates four guards would pass him by along the yard, following what would appear to be a very well trampled route. Likely the guards patrol route, as he made it to the doors to the main house itself the two guards would ask him if he had any weapons, if he did please turn them over now.

Once through the doorway a young female elf would be there to greet him with a warm smile, a male human behind her ready to take his bag and coat.

Halftpint sheepishly admitted to carrying weapons and handed over a large hunting knife, studded metal knuckles, and garrote. He left them with the guards and headed into the manor. The halfing looked behind him and addressed the guards.

"I'll pick them up on the way out!" He stated and turned around, almost running into the navel of the young elf woman. Hubba-hubba the small lothario thought and a crooked grin came across his face.

"Serale....or Vedui in the elvish- no? I have a feeling that we should be great friends. My name's Naddas, Halftpint R. What's yours?" He practically shoved his cloak and backpack into the male human's awaiting hands. "I'm here to see the Thane, is he expecting me?"

"Serale Mr. Naddas. I am sorry but his Grace is not expecting you. Infact he is currently in a meeting within the compound at present." She said in a soft tone, dismissing the halflings advances. "If you would please follow me to the study where Lord Elsdragon will meet you in a brief while." She said with a smile.

[Halftpint Naddas]

The halfling shrugged, his advances slightly brushed off by the Elf Maiden. He wasn't surprised, nor did he really expect it to work- he was just a little loopy from over 2 cycles of traveling from Alleria Prime via Taralon in Melora. Halftpint deserved a little leeway, but soon his manners caught back up to him and he stayed silent and entered the room.

"Thanks for the directions!" He bid the secretary goodbye and waited for the Thane.

Keldon entered the room after a brief meeting with one of the city officials in regards to some minor details that he had planned for the Thanal Estate, today he was wearing the usual save for a few things. well tailored dress pants, black short boots to match, a black doublet, which is what he normally had on daily while fulfilling his duties as Thane. Although he changed the color of his shirt. Today he was wearing a wonderful sky blue, almost resembling the beautiful colors of a crystal clear sky on a perfect summer day.

When entering he smiled towards Halftpint tilting his head to the halfling. "Welcome to Primus Gaudeo Mr. Naddas." He said in a warm welcoming tone. "I apologizes for not being able to meet you at my office in the Concordia Incola, or my private office here. However the last month has been rather busy since my appointment here... please take a seat." He finished and motioned towards two chairs nesteled infront of a decent sized fireplace.

"No worries your excellency. I apprieciate that you are meeting me now." He smiled as the drab halfling looked over the gaudy human's clothing. Sky blue? Wasn't that last Pattern's "in" color. The Cether almost frowned, but instead got down to business and sat down.

"As you know, I was formerly an Assistant Aedile in Alleria Prime. I am also a graduate of Ioannes Academy of Political studies, passing classes in both Law and Politics. I would like a position in the Aedile's office in Primus Gaudeo, that is if one's available." Halftpint smiled.

OOC- don't worry, I'm not a stickler about post length. Let's get this done then! Thanks for the concern for my FT!

He nodded his head in response. "Yes sir I am in need of another Aedile, as my previous Head Aedile has resigned due to some personal reasons. Thus leaving that position open, although do not expect to be hired for that role. As I am yet aware of your capabilities, if any for that matter. Although serving as an Aedile in the Empires Capital would of been a daunting task for anyone." Keldon said with a warm tone, yet it sounded serious.

"So tell me Mr. Naddas, what drives you? What brings you here, prospect of promotion? Family? Perhaps the chance of making more gold crowns for your pockets. Unlike many Thanes who will place someone in a position for political reasons, I prefer to place people I can trust into the positions beneath me, so I must ask about what type of man you are. Before I consider the possibility of giving you a job within my city."

[Halftpint Naddas]

"Right you are sir, right you are." Halftpint rubbed his chin. "I admit that being an aedile is not my dream job, but we seldom do what we really truly want. I am satisfied with the job because it pays well and it is good work. I am not politically ambitious, if you're wondering about that, and I would remain loyal to the man who got me a job..." Halftpint smiled.

"As for what brought me here is a dream. I know I just said that we seldom achieve such lofty goals, but I intend to try. It is my desire to revive the air ship industry from it's hibernation. Within this city is the Arial Factory, now in disrepair, but it is a skeleton that we can fill out! Think of the amazing opportunity for this city as being the first and exclusive producers of this product? The jobs that could be had, the rush of investiment and educated workers? Sir, that is why I am in Primus Gaudeo."

[Keldon Elsdragon]

Keldon nodded his head, and decided to be blunt, and directly to a key point. "I am sure your position in Alleria Prime paid decently, but I highly doubt it gave enough to fund such a dream. How do you plan to finance such a optimistic goal?"

[Halftpint Naddas]

"haha!" Halftpint laughed. "Of course not! I never have had enough crowns to do such a thing. But funding is hardly a problem, the idea is. My plans are as such- successfully complete a prototype to show the promising future of the unarcanic Air Ship. Once that the technology is proven, your excellency, then finding investors should not be a problem. I'm envisioning loans, but if say a certain city would invest funds into such a venture, it would receive stock in that company. Stock that would be worth money, pay dividends, enrich Primus Gaudeo." Halftpint looked back and forth making sure he was not overheard.

"Tell another secret Excellency, I have personally spoken to the Regent." He paused and let the words sink in. "And he is very, and I mean very enthusiastic about these possibilities... think of the amount of crowns potential government contracts would be worth....selling to the military, scientific endeavors, passenger service, frieght, postal service? Our imaginations are the only restrictions that we have your excellency..."

[Keldon Elsdragon]

A nod came from Keldon when he mentioned the Regent. "Well what type of assistance would you need from the city, and what assurance or garunte can you give me that if it does not pull through the city is protected. After all the last thing I need is two hundred thousand some odd people outside my office all rather irate about there taxes going up."

[Halftpint Naddas]

"Assistance, nothing major or at least nothing that would bankrupt the city. We'd need some workers to help restore the Arial factory. And a tiny bit of funds to recruit skilled workers and purchase material. In monetary terms, perhaps 30,000 crowns? Now remember to think of this as an investment your excellency..." Halftpint added nervously.

[Keldon Elsdragon]

Keldon tapped his figure on the end of the chair while he thought. "So, the city would be part owner of the business? Or are you seeking for me to personally fund it, as there would be strict restrictions I would impose from the cities stand points, and a very strong code of ethics I would expect to be followed, along with terms of repayment and other financial agreements to take into consideration." He said with a stern voice. This could be a good thing for the city, but also could cost alot of money if something went wrong.

OOC: I double checked, "Stocks" or anything remotely like them do not exisit in Alleria.

"Yes, of course! Of Course your excellency!" Halftpint responded. "This is only to bring good into Telath, it is not tinged with an ulterior motives. 30,000 crowns would purchase 10% of the business- repayments of 1,000 crowns a month until the initial loan is paid off. But give is a couple months to get this off the ground, would you please? Also, this would make the purchasing entity eligiable for 10% of the profits, and own 10% of the company's equpitment. Is this satisfactory?"

"How much do you foresee the project will cost in total? Employment, restoring the factory, paying the liscences and so forth. Also how long do you think it would take to begin and produce the final product?"
