A bitter chill meander its way towards the minute patches of bare skin that were on display, as Rhargn headed off towards the Thanal Manor. The sky above began to warp from the faery grey of a brightenings winter sky, to a dull ebony, signalling the alteration of hours. It'd have puzzled most who had gazed upon the ruffian heading towards the manor of such a reputable state, but after spending several candlemarks thinking of how to punch his plans into place, Rhargn had come up with what he thought an ingenious idea.

Since he'd arrived word of the new Thane had been rushing about like a dry bush fire, it seemed this was the first Thane in quite a while, but that didn't really matter to Rhargn in the slighest. The thoughts that accumulated within the titans thick skull were bare bones to any normal thinking character, but to this fat oaf, they were far from bare bones and so he'd began searching the vicinity for a building of a majestic exterior and after many wrong directions, had eventually come across it.

Excitement ignited an obscured grin as the titan altered his pace to a job, ready to put his 'plan' into action after gazing upon the exquisite white marble. However, first and foremost, there were the two gate guards to get past. Quickly, he began dusting off any dried dirt that had clung to him from the caravan trip, before puffing out his chest and moving towards them. "Serale men. I'm here to see Lord Keldon Elsdragon, he is expecting me." It was a long shot and Rhargn didn't even know if that was the Thane's real name, it was all word of mouth fronted by a false aura of confidence.

The two gate guards looked the man over and laughed ever so slightly. Dirt still clinging to Rhargn face, and hair. Likely from the up kicked dust from the wheels of the caravan. But, the Lord Thane has had people of all types pass though his Office and private estate since he arrived. So the guards considered the possibility what the man was saying was indeed true. "Alright then sir, what is your name? Reason for your visit to his grace, and please present your Visa." The guard to Rhargn's left said with a half-assed smirk.

The pitiful smirk gleamed from the guards face as Rhargn stared wide eyed at him. This was all going to have to be done with the best acting abilites the mammoth had and so after dropping his backpack from his back, he opened it up and searched about. Several seconds later, he reamerged with his visa of which he handed to the smarmey guard, before replacing his open backpack onto his back once more. "My name?! Are you really so dumb?! I'm Rhargn Etn! I can not believe you would treat a member of a family such as mine, with words as filthy as your own." The size of Rhargn would surely be intimidating, along with his deep resounding anger that hung in his voice. All he could hope for now, was that they believed him to be of noble birth, for in Nexus Prime this was how guards were spoken to by their owners.

The guard to Rhargn's right moved his hand over the hilt of his sword, ready to withdraw it if needed. The guard to Rhargn left looked over the Visa with a raised eyebrow looking towards Rhargn once again. "Sir, for future information you should know that any status of nobility is included on your Visa. According to this you are nothing more then a common man from Nexus Prime, so I suggest you watch your tongue ." The guard said the entire sentence accept for the last part rather well and calm. But the last part of his speech came out with a harsh tone and a rather distrustful glare.

Pushing the Visa into the mans chest looking at him to see what his reaction was going to be next he tilted his head. "You would have been better to tell the truth then to present yourself with a false statement sir. However regardless if we were going to let you pass or not his Excellency is not here. He is attending to some matters within the city." The guard said with another smirk

Hazel orbs caressed the hand that slipped to hilt, they weren't having any of this facarde. A malestorm of thoughts erupted within the mind of Rhargn as he fought desperatly to pluck up another idea which might have bought him acceptance into the Thanal Manor. Nothing except a force to the chest. Snatching the visa away, Rhargn shoved it into his backpack, before fastening it together. "Hmmph." Was all he could to force past his thick rubber lips as he slowly moved back and sat himself down in resignation, content on waiting for the return of Keldon, as it now was apparent this was his real name.

Keldon was coming down the roadway leading towards the Thanal Manor, passing by several people looking upto him. Some giving him greetings, a smile, nodding there head. Others just ignoring his presence. However surrounding him where four mounted guards and four more following in line behind the formation. Today Keldon was well protected to some extent, although not as much as some think he should be.

As he approached the gate guards to his home opened the iron gates in anticipation of his enterouge coming through the entranceway. They presumed right as the group moved forward, the two guards to the left and right of Keldon moving a little closer so the group could fit through the gates without breaking formation.

The sound of a small congregation ordered Rhargn to clamber to his feet and see what all the fuss was about. Approaching were several men, well dressed and armed, they looked quite the part. His thick trunk like legs carried him a few paces towards the approaching troupe as he heard several calls to the middle man. This was the Thane, this was Keldon!

An obscured grin appeared below the mat of hair that hung to Rhargn's face as he looked up at the Thane, trying to catch eye contact. However, to no avail, the titan headed towards the group, not fearing being seen as a threat for he held no weapons in his hands. "Lord Elsdragon, can I have but a moment of your time please sir?!"

The two guards infront of Keldon would move inwards to stop Rhargn from advancing. Should he choose to try and move past them it would likely have fatal consequences, Keldon stood behind them mounted looking down at Rhargn. Tilting his head. "Serale, what seems to be the problem sir?" He said, he decided not to correct Rhargn in how to address him properly as some where just not aware of those formality's, even if they should be.

The guards now coming to a halt looking around, some of them keeping an eye on Rhargn. Namely the ones in the front, the other four at the back came around to the side and rear of Keldon and dismounted looking around. It was there practice to have some on the ground incase something spewed up the guards on the mounts could not become so vulurable.

Feeling the presence of the oncoming guards, Rhargn halted abruptly, his palms up to show he was no threat to anyone. However, with the movement of the entire unit, a feel of anxiousness drenched the mammoth. He now had the attention of the man he wanted it from and his throat had closed up. The flesh peeking from behind his thick beard showed tints of rosey red, a clear indication of embarrassment.

With all eyes on Rhargn, he awkwardly bowed not really knowing if this was correct and coughed out the flem from the back of his throat. "No problem sir. It's just I'm new to Primus Gaudeo, here hoping to open an honest, caring pet shop and as all talk is about you, you're the only person I could think of coming to talk to. Is there any possible way you could help me? I'm sorry for taking up your time..."

A smile came over the face of Keldon as he looked around briefly. "Well good sir, that would be the duties of the Aedile's Office... however as I do not have much to do this evening I will speak with you in regards to the situation you would like to discuss." He said nodding his head looking to his right to one of the guards. "Constable" He said firmly, most of the guards around him shifting there eyes to look at Keldon to see which one of them he was addressing. Once they noticed it was not them they resumed what they were doing, the constauble on the ground looked upto Keldon. "Yes your Grace?" he said. "Could you please escort this gentlemen to my private office and stay with him until I arrive there?" Keldon asked, he had the tone of a request although the guard would not refuse the request as it was indeed a order. "Verywell your Grace." The guard said bowing his head, handing the riens of the horse to one of the mounted guards.

Walking over to Rhargn the guard stood almost beside him. "Please follow him sir, he will show you to my office where I shall arrive shortly." Keldon said with a smile and a gentle kick to his mount making it move forward ever so slightly. The rest of hte guards on the ground mounted there horses as he did this.

The guard standing beside Rhargn spoke now. "Please follow me sir." he motioned towards the entrance of the Estate.


OOC: Feel free to describe your entrance to the house, the office and take a seat in one of the guest chairs. You could sit in Keldons chair.. but i would advise it heh.

As smiles were traded, a cloak of relief coiled its way round the mammoth, fortune was with him on this brightening it seemed. Excitement bubbled over within the titan as he watched the events unfold, with guards being order and so forth, before raising a hand in thanks as Keldon and his troops trotted off. With only the instructed guard with Rhargn, minus the two gatesmen, the ruffian replied. "Thank you."

As the duo slowly, but purposely made their way up the enterance towards the manor, Rhargn gazed about in awe. Everything seemed so miraculous to the oaf who'd only ever seen the dark dingy streets of Nexus Prime. He didn't notice the presence of the guard blocks behind, his focus becoming more attached to the gigantic but barren oak that stood proudly before him. He did however, catch glimpse of the well kept hedgeway that was elegantly carpeted in a puffy, soft azure sprinkle.

As they continued their march forth, there came the unforgiving smell of horses. The stink was a welcomed feel in the frosty weather however, as manure tinted clouds billowed their way to the newcomer, wrapping him in their fresh warmth. The flowers about the garden which were once most probably some of the most pristine, appeared dead, their corpses unmercifully but beautifully covered by the snow. It didn't matter though because directly ahead was the perfectly crafted marble steps and double doors.

After being asked to wait at the bottom of the ascent, Rhargn's escort totted up to the other guards and after a few brief words, called for the titan, who bounded up merrily. A friendly nod of respect to the two doormen and Rhargn was lead into the interior. It was magnificent. The battering but fragile assault the stain glass window provided was awe inspiring and Rhargn found it hard to steal his gaze away to look at anything else until his escort broke him from his own world and directed him into the Thane's office.

After passing the guard, Rhargn slipped off his backpack and mace, and laid them to the side as he twirled, entranced by something more magnificent then he had ever been in before. It was beyond him how someone accumulated so much wealth that they could create such a palace, it didn't hit him that the homes of the nobles in Nexus Prime would be something like this, though clearly not as gracious. After grazing the book cases with his hazel orbs, he sighed heavily at the comforting warmth that filled the room, before taking a seat and awaiting his host. He wasn't aware of formalities and so thought nothing of sitting without being asked too.

As Rhargn sat waiting for Keldon to arrive a young attractive female opened the door with a small bowl in her hands, containing various fruits, grapes, some apple slices and various other slices of things. She walked past Rhargn giving a brief nod placing the small dish just infront and to the side of Keldons chair, moving quickly to a small armwar at the corner of the office she took out a wine glass and poured a glass of red wine for the Thane and put it beside Keldons bowl.

She would then look to Rhargn, "Can I get you anything to drink sir?" She asked quietly. If he wanted something she would go off and fetch it for him.

The sound of the open door ordered Rhargn to stand, ready for the Thane to enter, however, to his suprise entered the girl at whom the ruffian aimed a warm smile towards. He shuffled about slightly as she went about her buisness before sitting uncomfortably, as she busied about. His hazel orbs remained glued to her in a curious way at what she was getting as the fresh smell of alcohol slipped up his nostrils reminding him of home, but a home much more sophisticated then Longbeards.

"Whatever Lord Elsdragon is having please." Rhargn replied to the question, not having ever drunk any other alcoholic substance apart from cheap beer.

She nodded and smiled briefly going back to the small stand in the corner of Keldons office taking out another crystal clear wine glass and pouring red wine into it, as the glass filled she paused and put the bottle back down pushing the cork back into it.

Bringing it over and handing it to Rhargn she said with a soft smile, "Tis Paxian Red Wine sir," Once he took the glass she would leave the room, once Rhargn took a sip of the wine he would find the sweet, soft yet mellow texture of it fill his mouth. The wine was very rich, and very sweet. It was some of the best wine you could get in the Empire in truth.

Rhargn watched as the beautiful crimson liquid elegantly danced out of the bottle and into the pristine glass. Upon filling the glass, the ruffian began removing his tough leather gloves, placing them on his lap, before recieving the glass with a 'thank you'. "Paxian Red Wine... I'll remember that next time I'm in Longbeard's." He thought out loud with a chuckle, smiling and nodding to the girl as she left the office.

The aroma which caressed Rhargn's nose was so fulfilling that he hastily took his first sip, though that was hardly what it was, as he nearly polished the glass off in one. The distinguised taste was much too sweet for the mountain man and he grimaced as it slipped down his throat. He was unused to the upper class, more civilised drink that was before him, much prefering the smooth, bitter beer he gurgled down at his local.

The doors opened once again, shortly after Arabella had left. This time it was Keldon wearing a very well dressed and proper suit. A green silk shirt underneath a crimsion red doublet and fancy pants, finely crafted boots graced the thanes feet. He was definitely a attractive elf.

Tilting his head towards Rhargn as he moved towards his desk gracefully, "Greetings Mr. Etn. What is it that I can do for you exactly?" He said with a smile moving around to the back of his desk taking a seat.

As the doors open behind the seated mammoth, he spun his head to greet the oncomer, only for his eyes to grace the majesticness of the Elf before him. He was clearly someone who took great pride in his appearance, but then again so he should, he was the Thane of the city centeral in the Empire.

As the two exhanged friendly smiles, Rhargn began. "Well, your majesty..." He had no idea how to adress this man of such a title. "... I'm looking to open an honest, caring tavern for people of all walks of life. However, after having seen the Avon Row Retreat, I believe I could make so much more of it. Now, I wasn't sure how to go about the buisness of either starting a tavern or evening taking over 'The Retreat'..." With this, his voice trailed off as ideas paced through his mind of what he could do with the place. His eyes shone with inspiration as become oblivious to the presence of the Thane.

As thoughts began to ripple through Rhargn's head, another idea took charge. "I was also thinking about creating an escort service for nobles and caravans and such. Something that people could use to hire guards from to protect them on their travels."
