Focused (Private)
ooc: This is a practice thread for Kalenel.
Setting his cloak and all other hindering items off to the side, Kalenel stretched upon the floor of the Fitness and Bones before beginning for the day. In the summer, Faust had taught him well the basics of swordplay in the very same spot. Wanting to continue tradition, Kalenel decided it best to practice on his own here in privacy. It was late at night, when almost all of the others were gone from the gym.
He started with sets of push-ups, wanting to build his muscle to better himself as a warrior. Each repetion, his arms brought all the way to the ground and back up again. He went on until he could do no more, and waited about a minute before starting the next set.
He did the same with sit-ups, wanting the added benefits a solid midsection would give him. With his legs bent and upon his back, Kalenel lifted himself to his knees and back down again until the point of exhaustion. He continued this with his leg exercises, giving himself a solid full body exercise. He rested then, for about a half a candlmark before beginning the true training.
Slowly drawing his black, elven steel swords from their sheaths, Kalenel dropped back in his ready stance. Bringing his swords out before him, Kalenel flourished them simutaneously in the air. Slashing quickly with his right sword, Kalenel brought his left blade coming right behind it with a thrust into the heart of a invisible opponent, snuffing the life out of them instantly.

As he had done to multiple opponents in the past, Kalenel stepped forward and performed a front kick with his right foot. It was a swift kick, one taught to him from his youth Rhingorda training. Bringing his foot back quickly, he quickly thrusted with his right blade as his other sword stayed back to parry away an imaginary blade.
He continued the shadow training for a long while, performing each manuever slowly and with percision. Long ago, Kalenel decided it best to begin his training slowly, and to gradually pick up speed. This way, he built accuracy and control with his practice.
Coming to an abrubt stop after a swift spinning attack with both of his blades, Kalenel sheathed his blades and placed the weapons away in a locker. He wasn't scared of theft, since now he was indeed a D'rinishad.
Stepping outside, Kalenel looked to the moon for a moment before beginning the next step of his training. He ran briskly in the Vortexian night, along the streets that surrounded the gym. He stayed at a steady speed, and ran on even when he thought he couldn't. His chest heaved and his side burned, testament to his determination.

Kalenel was ready to collapse as he stumbled back into the training facility, the brisk jog draining him of any remaining energy. He slept there, all through the night, upon one of the training mats with his cloak placed under his head.
Waking up during the day, Kalenel wished not to venture outside. Getting help from Markener to find something to eat around the building, Kalenel ate slowly and drunk plenty of water. Finishing, he stretched his arms and legs thoroughly before beginning his strength exercises. His body was still worn from the day before, but Kalenel got into a groove soon enough with the movements. His teeth gritted as he pushed himself farther and farther, wanting to be in the best shape possible for whatever trials laid in front of him.
Picking himself back up from the floor, Kalenel drew his swords from their sheaths and went into the ready stance taught to him by his mentor Faust. He slashed left and right with his blades, each strike weakening the defences of a imaginary opponent. Periodically the young warrior let fly a swift elbow or fist, and sometimes a signature kick of his seeking to peirce through the defences of his opponent. He was focusing himself to combine his Zin'nka training along with his combat training to blend together in his own effective form. He had much work to do, but he was wanting and willing to do whatever it took to one day be able to command respect with his blades as Faust did.

Sheathing his blades and placing them to the side of the training mat, Kalenel readied himself to begin honing his Rhingorda skills. Staying still for a long moment, Kalenel focused his mind and body before bursting into a flurry of punches and kicks. His punches snapped forward, the wrist rotating as the momentum flowed through his body. He pivoted with each kick, attempting to pump as much energy into each attack as possible.
After about a half a candlemark he plopped upon the mat to rest, pushing his body to the limit had exhausted him. Perhaps when he found his strength again he would spar one of the others around the facility...
