A meeting of what proportions? (D'rinishad meeting)

[Kalenel D'Rinishad]

29th Cryxatum, Summer Era II of the Celestine Mandate, Era XIV Post Fractum.

Kalenel was there first, having just resting from a short workout. He talked with Markener for a short time as he waited, but soon enough sat upon a mat to enjoy the time to himself. He had came a long way so for in the Summer, and could easily go a lot further. What would the night hold for Kalenel? Whatever it held, it would have to wait for Faust and the others to arrive.

[Dimnersti]

Dimnersti hadn't dealt with his fellow D'rinishad for a fair while even before the 'mishap' on his way to ethgantor. So a meating now, even a casual one was at the very least going to be interesting. Did the house notice his absence, probly more the absence of viable PR more than the absence of the one providing it. Also given the adoptive nature of most of the family, it was hard to say who'd even be there, well and given the nature of many, wich ones were still even alive.

Entering the building he had little clue who to look for, vortex was one of very few cities where he couldn't just look for another vystichi in the room. Then again, with his rather unique apearance it was rarely an issue no matter the situation. Even with the sleek white marble of his hands hidden beneath gloves, with no hood to hide his hair the black streak that had marred him for as long as he could remember seperated him from the crowd at a glance.

[Faust D'Rinishad]

Two Vysstichi, perhaps some of the largest that either Dimnersti or Kalenel had ever seen, were the next to enter into the room. Their broad shoulders and tightly muscled torsos were distinguishable even beneath the obsidian mantles draped about their forms; the insignia of House Kitrye’veresi, an extravagant crescent moon, was embroidered upon each of their flowing cloaks.

As they drew back their hoods, one of the Vysstichi, a brutish-looking male with shortly cropped white hair, eyed both Dimnersti and Kalenel suspiciously. The elegant handle of the great broadsword strapped across his backside peeked over his right shoulder as he turned to hold the door open.

Another dark elf entered.

To Kalenel, it was none other than Faust D’Rinishad, his teacher and the first D’Rinishad that the young thief had ever met. The Prince of Har’oloth’s unrestrained silver hair fell past his shoulders and bobbled against his back, and his face was deceptively young despite the experience that marked the Vysstichi Lord’s century of life. To Dimnersti, though, it was a visage that he had not seen in patterns –perhaps longer.

“Kalenel…” Faust greeted, dipping his head slightly to acknowledge his impressively gifted student. When he looked to Dimnersti, though, the Prince of Har’oloth’s face contorted in evident confusion, greatly warranted confusion. “Uncle Dimmy…?” The inquiry rolled candidly off the dark elf’s tongue, not with anger, but pure surprise.

IC: Seeing the second vyystichi to arrive, Kalenel stepped toward him non-threatining and extented his hand. 'Perhaps he is another D'rinishad?' Kalenel thought as he looked upon the elf. "I'm Kalenel, are you also D'rinishad?"

Only nodding at the two guards as they came throught the door, Kalenel gave his mentor and friend a short bow as he smiled at his arrival. Not only being the greatest fighter the young Kalenel had ever knew, Faust was also the greatest person. "Still worn out from our last spar?" The young vyystichi said jokingly toward his mentor, knowing it not to be the case.

[Dimnersti]

Dimnersti smiled as his nephew entered the room with all the pomp of a noble or wealthy merchant. It was good to see a face he recognized and even better to see he was doing well. Both in an altruistic familial pride manner, and a selfish, resources to borrow, manner.

"Dimnersti D'rinishad, and it is always a pleasure to meet fellow house members kelenel." he said shaking his hand breifly before retracting them, with strangers his stone fingers were often a tool, used to disorient or distract, with house members it was a bit more sensative, who wanted to reveal mistakes of that magnitude after all.

"And how is my favorite nephew? doing well for himself it seems." He said with a broad smile as he offered his hand to the nephew he'd not seen in era's though it seemed fewer for him than for faust.

[Faust D'Rinishad]

“Very much so, I’m afraid.” Faust replied, grinning mirthfully as he patted Kalenel upon the shoulder. Glancing back to the two formidable guards who had arrived before him, the Prince of Har’oloth nodded silently, a gesture that dismissed the pair back outside to flank the entrance of the Fitness and Bones Training Center. None others, it seemed, would be allowed to disturb the family reunion.

Turning to Dimnersti, a wide smile bloomed across the dark elf’s youthful features as he met his Uncle’s gaze. “As well as can be expected. And you, Uncle?” Chuckling grimly, Faust’s gloved hand extended to clasp Dimnersti’s, shaking it momentarily and for as long as proper etiquette permitted. Faust had grown older since they had last spoken, perhaps not visibly so, but certainly as far as his demeanor could be assessed.

Much had happened in Dimnersti’s absence, after all. With Adinirach and Eschaton’s disappearances and Serion’s untimely death, the vast brunt of House D’Rinishad’s affairs had been set upon Faust’s shoulders. And thus to have reunited with Dimnersti under such conditions was a welcomed event indeed.

“I see that you two have met already. Kalenel, this is my uncle, Dimnersti.” Allowing the pair to be reacquainted again, Faust’s smile wanted shortly afterwards. “It’s unfortunate that none of the others could make it.” Sighing briefly, the dark elf’s crimson gaze flickered about to the vacant seats of the chamber. He looked back to Dimnersti. “By the way, where are Skye and Breeze? I haven’t seen those two in…patterns…”

Glancing at the hand of Dimnersti briefly, Kalenel looked away quickly hoping he was not seen marveling. The fingers intrigued Kalenel, but the young rogue thought nothing less of his fellow D'rinishad.

Kalenel stood appearantly nervous as he looked at the other vyystichi in the room. He kept quiet, waiting for his cue to speak.

Dimnersti winced slightly at the mention of his daughters. they were still his precious lil treasures, but precious lil treasures that happened to hate him.. "Their.. at home. Teenage girls and all." He said with a small forced chuckle.

"And yes, it is a shame, I wouldn't mind hearing how our fellow D'rinishads are doing, my absence for the last few era's sadly has left me a tad behind. I wasn't even sure our 'alliance' with house Kitrye’veresi still stood. And it would be rather beneficial to know who I should or should not advertise my familial name with. I'v had enough of getting on the wrong side of vysstichi houses."

An important question, since part of the reason for dimnersti's visit to vortex had been because he'd heard that one of the houses practiced a somwhat 'darker' form of druidic arcana, they would at the least be able to provide some valuable resources for his own arcanic growth.

[Faust D'Rinishad]

A small, unknowing smile played about one side of the dark elf’s lips as he nodded to his uncle. “As long as they’re faring well.” Faust said, evidently clueless of his Uncle’s unique situation. Such had always been the case with the younger D’Rinishad, though; that is, some things simply needed to be explained to him.

Chuckling in agreement as Dimnersti admitted that his absence had resulted in several confusions, the dark elf replied with a faint grin. “House Kitrye’veresi is ours now, Uncle. Alaret was killed and her daughter Rilvin now reigns supreme, but with House D’Rinishad controlling her strings of course.” Sighing deeply as he recollected that recent accomplishment, the Vysstichi Prince crossed his arms across his chest, a gesture that positioned his elbows atop the two sword pommels strapped on either of his sides.

“Beware of the Third House of Har’oloth, though. Matron Varelinen keeps a tight rein on her throne, and it would be unwise to expose your relationship to House Kitrye’veresi when in her domain.” Faust continued, and he glanced both to Dimnersti and Kalenel to communicate his warning.

When Dimnersti prodded for news of the other two D’Rinishads’ latest endeavors, Faust smiled and looked to Kalenel, allowing the newest addition to the family to speak first.

Seeing Faust motioning to him to speak first, Kalenel cleared his throat before starting. "Faust and I met ealier this summer under...special circumstances," Kalenel said, sliding Faust a quick smirk. "Now I train under him and hope to become as great with the two swords as he." Kalenel was proud with that statement, knowing that was something he really wanted. There were other things he would like to pursue, but it seemed to the young Kalenel that his time with Faust would lead to those things.

[Areka D'Rinishad]

Areka walked up to the building. The gurads out front told her that she had found the right place. She would have just stayed with Faust but she wanted to look around the town a bit. The events of the other day had confused her even more and she needed to think in quiet. Though any place could be considered quiet if she so choose it to be. She walked up to the gurads and lowered her eyes as she took off her hood to show them who she was. Without any trouble they let her pass and as she entered the building she replaced her hood. The hood had come to be her confort, almost like her security blanket and she did not like it to be removed without her permission.

Walking up to the table she stopped and looked at the new person she had never seen, before taking a seat in the empty chair beside Faust. Being herself, she didn't speak, she just sat quietly and waited until she was addressed and had to speak.

Dimnersti nodded slightly towards faust as he mentioned his victory with house House Kitrye’veresi, It was quite the coo for his nephew and would be quite helpfull in his interactions with the house to know that he held a fairly strong stance in any negotiation. And even more imporantly was the warning to be very delicate in any dealings with hte third house, something he had planned on, since they held types of knowledge on his chosen form of arcana that he wasn't likely to find elsewhere. The simple lack of refrence to the second house spoke volumes as well, and was something he'd keep in mind.

"Its a fine goal to have my nephew has always seemed to have a particular talent for that sort of thing." A true statement, though it seemed he'd developed a bit of a nack for the political and buisness arena's as well. It seems having the responsabilities of the house fall on his shoulders had turned out rather well. The weight of the responsability forcing him to develop quickly in response.

Before he could continue a slight figure slipped into the building sliding quietly beside faust with lil word or statement. Given the guards at the entrance, she was clearly known to faust. "Hmm, has my nephew gone and adopted himself a daughter as well I wonder?" he said in a playfull tone as he put his attention on the young woman. "Good brightening young miss, a pleasure" he offered with a slight nod. She was a lovely young girl, but quite young indeed. Then again faust had been young when he'd been introduced to the family as well.

“And he is making excellent progress too…” Faust added after Kalenel finished, though more so for Dimnersti’s sake. His uncle had been away for quite some time and would no doubt require more information about each of House D’Rinishad’s newest members before comfortably acclimating with them.

Nodding humbly as Dimnersti commented on his success with House Kitrye’veresi, the Prince of Har’oloth turned in time to spot the young Vysstichi woman enter into the building. A wide smile illuminated his features as he bowed shortly to the girl, “Meet, Areka, Uncle Dimnersti…” He said before looking to Areka, “Areka, this is my Uncle Dimnersti.”

As the two acquainted with one another, the dark elf could not combat the evident amusement that appeared upon his visage. A family reunion, at long last, and with more members than the clan had known in a long time. It was a joyous occasion indeed.

[Kalenel D'Rinishad]

Giving a nod to Faust for the compliment, Kalenel turned to acknowledge the entrance of another new member of House D'rinishad. The young girl was saved earlier in Cyraxtum by Faust and Kalenel, and ever since then the young warrior had taking a certain liking for her. She was mysterious to say the least, but so was Kalenel in a way.

Striding over gracefully to stand next to the sitting Areka, Kalenel stood and took in the scene. The vyystichi before him were his family, and yet he knew Faust only moderately well. Hopefully a change to that could start it's progress tonight.

[Areka D'Rinishad]

Areka took off her hood as she looked at Dimnersti. "Your uncle looks interesting." She said with no emotion on her face. She pulled her hair out from the tucked confines of the robe she wore and let it flow down . If she wore to stand her hair would reach just her hip.

Still with an emotionless face she looked at Kalenel who now stood beside her and nodded toward him to show that she knew he stood there. Not wanting all the attention to be on her she looked at Faust waiting for him to continue on with the conversation.
