To Only Know Pain

To only know pain, to hurt in a way that everyone has suffered but in a way that was borderline sadistic. He had traveled the lands, not in search of treasure, power or fame but love but Merilyn had learned through his life experiences that this was a task beyond anything he had ever strived to accomplish. He used to go to the brothel, he had a good life a good house but his life spiraled out of control one day when he had fallen in love with a prostitute he had met on the outside and found himself lost in a mirage a maze of smoke and mirrors in that palace of diversions so consumed by illusions that he had lost track of his life and coin through lies, deciet and subtle treachery. "Let Me Buy You That Drink Sexy" once softly spoken words that now slipped through his mouth in a bitter manner in the hushed tone of a whisper.


It was just one blunder in a million, there was that one girl... but that was another story.

He was by no means an ugly person, but a rather fetching fellow that kind of guy that had he the confidence could talk to any girl anytime anywhere but everytime his own insecurities played him out. Every step was just one inch the wrong way, and round every bend he found nothing but heart ache because he over analyzed his situations and came on too strong to fast because he got swept up with his emotions.

Maybe he was asking for to much, but as the tobbaco burned from his pipe he couldnt help but reflect on his situation. How do you deal with it? Do you simply walk away and forget them? Do you hate? Do you cry, or chill with friends? Maybe you just grow cold and don’t care about them anymore but nothing is further from the truth.
Its easy to say things, but its truly the memory left behind that deals the lethal blow.

Thats the hardest part, thats what breaks people down and destroys them.
Was he broken? Mislead maybe? Perhaps confused and paranoid so embarrassed about the whispers that may follow him where he went that he simply avoided places he used to love just to avoid that one girl that rocked his world and said she hated him with every fiber of her being.

It crushed his spirit and left him, well shook.
