Imperial Crown

Not to be confused with the Aethercrown or the currency of the Aelyrian Empire, the Imperial Crown (or Imperial Crown of Emperor Valerian Constantius) was worn by Emperor Valerian Constantius during a public assembly at Midpoint Fortress in the Administrate of Centripax, one cycle before Midsummer's Brightening on Era X Post Fractum.

The device began as a simple ancient circlet, marked with the runes of the Ancient Aelyrian language. Utop each of the eight peaks encircling it was an iconic representation of one of the Essences of Eternity - Life, Death, Mind, Matter, Song, Sign, Force and Nature. The symbols had long been confusing, as the Aethergem in its might had prevented spellcasters from entering a true meditative state with the Astral Plane. Jewels were fixed upon the Crown, and the rich crystaline whiteness of Aetherium itself seemed to radiate from the mighty device.
