Until the glass is filled (open, mod please)
Early brightening, 16th of Kalendryas in the Season of Winter
Era I of the Celestine Mandate
Era XV Post Fractum
Iris yawned as she trudged up from the Sea Dragon harbor. It had been one small gift that had seemed to be granted woman to not have been spotted in her return to the city. She had nothing to fear mind one, after the fiasco an era or two ago, the woman had no trouble with the law. The time after the three Wolfsbane children had sailed off with their fathers’ ship, it had seemed that their father, a passionate man, had been in anger and worry and posters of the three had traveled rather far. Iris had not been certain which of the two had been worse, the missing, or the wanted posters.
Thankfully as quickly as it seemed they had spread, away they went, each of the children certain due to the voices and actions of the mother and brother they had left behind. So really she had no worry, but it was still dreadfully early in the brightening,
She wasn’t sure exactly where she walked now, but Iris walked with seeming purpose getting acquainted with the still sleeping town and its streets as she left the waterfront. The woman had picked this place because it was clean; it was ripe for a lady to make her own humble beginnings. Iris may hold hopes for a romantic life, as a mercenary or pirate, but still a girl did have a need for a safe haven to lay her head and find her feet.
Her pack at her back made no noise though it was weighed with her food, and clothes, and even the satchel of money she had kept, locked away and hoarded in her cabin. She had some time until even the early shops opened their doors, and hours still until the pubs were open and ready to do business. Until then, she walked, what else was a girl to do?

Riar watched the woman as she walked through the street, his pale eyes glinting in the brightening light. She was the only one on the street, and looked fairly harmless. Of course, he knew better than to trust that judgement, but what else could he do?
He stepped out of the shadows. "Excuse me? Can you help me?"

“Excuse me? Can you help me?”
A voice pulled Iris’ wandering gaze, to that of another’s. Her own soft brown eyes looked at those of a far more fetching shade of green before her steps slowed to a halt a good distant from the stranger, her mind thought for a moment before. “Perhaps, it all depends on what you need assistance with.”
Gods have pity on the woman, for all her efforts, she never could catch hold of the sailors way of speech although she had tried quiet desperately, but could never quiet escape her earlier teachings However neither did she keep the title’ the prim Miss’, for all her fancy talk she still had the meanest right hook and a belly like an iron tub.
The woman flashed a smile and a dimple.

Relaxing slightly at the smile, Riar absent-mindedly twisted a lock of black hair about his finger. It was really getting long.
"I'm new in town. I don't suppose you know somewhere I could find lodgings, preferably cheap?" He smiled back, trying unconsciously to look presentable despite his travel-worn appearance.

Iris chuckled, but responded, “Alas I haven’t the foggiest. I myself have never slept within these stone walls, but I know a tavern or two, and surely one has an Inn attached.”
But stranger had raised a point, she herself might be in need of a place to lie own head, even if she did get employed that very brightening. What would her luck if all the inns were filled, and not a place could she stay?
Really, the woman had to give her plans more thought.
“I am not certain what is open yet, but your more than welcome to walk with me, perhaps we’ll even pass a few in our wanderings.”

As the two walked along in the city they came upon an tavern that was open as an small group of people went in its doors, it was The Rum and Lace Tavern. It was not uncommon for this tavern to have more then enough rooms and it was open most of the time.

Riar looked up at the tavern, then glanced at the woman by his side.
"Well, this one looks alright, I suppose." He bit his lip; she had been nothing if not friendly, and it was almost a shame that he had to do this. He pulled his bow from his back and drew an arrow smoothly back on the string. "And now, I'm afraid, I have to ask for the money to stay there. Please don't scream, I doubt you're faster than an arrow.

Izanami frowned, really her lips pouted as she looked at Riar. She was being stuck up. She could not believe that fething man was trying to rob her. Last time she wasted a smile on a pair of pretty eyes and shaggy hair.
“You liver lily coward. You could just ask a miss to spare a gent a bit of coin, no you want to rob her. Shoot me or stand to the fething side. I need a drink.” her purring voice growled, and her heart shaped face raised, daring the man to let the arrow fly, it was probably going to hurt. It was still early but this certainly was reason enough for the lass to need something liquid and burning in her belly.

Riar choked slightly at her words. He certainly hadn't been expecting that reaction. How was he supposed to shoot her now?
"Um..."He faltered. "Well...uh...I...sorry?"
As soon as he said it, he knew it sounded stupid. He was apologizing for being about to shoot her? He could feel his pale face starting to flush.

He apologized. Izanami snorted breath indignantly through her nose, glaring at the cur.
“Fine then, now step to the side, kindly.”
Izanmi voice was syrupy sweet with a brittle edge, what had been starting to be a glorious brightening, not just any brightening, her birth brightening. Some foolish man come up to her, as innocent as a lamb, they find a bar, and he threatens her life. And Taralon was suppose to be a sickeningly safe port.
They needed a suggestion box.

Riar slumped down by the side of the pavement, dropping his bow to one side. "Oh, what am I doing here? I can't even rob an unarmed woman right. I might as well give up now."
He thumped the pavement, then realized he was whining. "Sorry, you don't want to listen to the long list of my failures." He pushed himself back up, and tried a weak smile. "It would take far too long. Maybe we should..." He gestured towards the inn door, feeling ever-increasingly foolish. "Go get a drink."

The urge was strong, to kick the crumpled elf right in the head for the stunt he pulled. He held an arrow with his body at a ladys' heart. She might not have dressed it, or chose to talk like it, but her mother and father had raised a lady in their child, for all her wayward ways and vices. She would have relished the strike and walked off in a righteous air of indignation. But she took the high road. She would not counter threat of physical harm, with physical harm, she smiled at the slumping elf, her prettiest smile offering her hand to pull him to his feet.
Once he was on his feet Iris tapped his jaw with her fist lightly, not enought to be any harm, a playful tap really. "Come along you cur, you've got a might bit of explaining to do."
Iris held the door to the tavern open to the elf making sure he entered, he wasn't going to slip away with no explanation given, not on her watch. To the bar they would go and sit at it they would if she had her way. They would order their drinks, and he, would talk.
