Your Excellencies,

I come to, by this mean, tell you about my concern regarding the defenses of the Training Fields, where the preparation of the Provincial Army is taking place, and the very Capital City of the Province of Sheria. We lack informations regarding the situation of our enemy and as far as we know they can be at out very door-step without our knowldege. As Your Excellencies well know an attack by our enemy at this time would ruin whatever efforts we have had and therefore the creation of defensive structures and fortifications is what I advise.

To be honest, not only advise but also offer as it seems to me that the Serpents of Sheria have enough manpower to build such structures while the Imperial Legions have the needed architects and engineers. I do hereby ask Your Excellencies permition to start the contruction of such defensive fortifications around the Training Fields and the city of Taralon.

You hereby have permission to commence the construction of fortifications around the Training Fields and the city of Taralon and use manpower from the Sherian Serpents towards this purpose. Furthermore I propose that such fortifications are also constructed around the Vorgan mines and that the Everdark Keep is refortified. For the purchase of building materials and to acquire plots of privately owned land situated in critical defense locations a sum of 250,000 crowns is set aside in the Sherian War Budget. I also confirm that for the construction of barracks near the Training Fields and Taralon for the Sherian Serpents a sum of 50,000 crowns is reserved.

It was made known to me that the Provincial Army of Sheria, the Sherian Serpents, is in need of more military equipment than the amount the Province can produce. I will therefore inform Base Commander Jonathan De’Bali of the 30th Imperial Legion to send whatever spare equipment there is in the warehouses of the Military District of Aelyria Prime by ship to the city of Taralon where I will supervision its transference and distribution among the soldiers of the Provincial Army.

Regarding the 9th Imperial Legion it came to my knowledge that the Legion may need more personnel to secure its functions, such as the training and preparation of said Provincial Army. In my letter to Base Commander De’Bali I will also ask him to send whatever reinforcements there are available.

I think it outraging that the Herald keeps telling lies about the truth. The Orcs are a threat, otherwise the people of Sheria wouldn't be living in fear of their presence and their very presence and the vile crimes they perpetrated in the past give us plenty of reasons to anihilate them and therefore give Sheria its needed and deserved rest.

Knowing of our situation I have sent letters to some who might help us. I've called for His Excellency the Archprelate's help in this cause and I was invited to meet him in Aelyria Prime in the final Brightening of the First Cycle of Junctior. I shall report whatever conclusions we may reach in our meeting.

Gentlemen,

War has officially started. The Orcs attacked and occupied Peda and other settlements may have followed the same fate. I have called the 9th Legion and I am marching to meet the invasion force before they reach too deep into what little land we control in Sheria.

I will try to stop whatever advance the Horde is making and will take the Sherian's revenge upon the Greenskins. I will be in the front line from now on and will hardly return to Taralon.

I leave it to you now the decision of the future. I will do my best to hold them back.

News of Peda's fall arrived Taralon and it is time to act. I will personally lead the Manjet to meet the enemy in the field, but I would appreciate the coordination between the Legions and the Navy. I would like to request that the Navy would send whatever ships it could to attack the Orcish forces stationed in Peda or the nearby region while the 9th advances. Ahead of the Legion I will lead a cavalry Cohorti to raid and/or halt the advance of the Horde before they attack other settlements of the Sherian.

I will try to send you reports from the front.

The messenger walked in in a rush and delivered the Navy Officer a letter.

This message was delivered to Everdark Keep. It was addressed to Eyvind Redbeard and with it there was a copy meant to be posted near the entrance to Everdark Keep.

As of the 7th Brightening of the first Cycle of Kalendryas, first Era of the Celestine Mandate and 15 Eras Post Fractum, the city of Auster has been safeguarded by a combined force of 1000 from the 7th and 1500 from the 9th. They are there to stay and a fort is under construction. All able-bodied civilians are asked to assist in its construction if willing. Citizens rejoice! The south road is ours!
