A meeting in the street (Gwyneth Ralcor)

26th Brightening of the Third Cycle of the Month of Imperos in the season of Autumn; Era II of the Celestine Mandate, Era XIV Post Fractum.

The morning came and with it the restart of his duties. He had made his morning exercises until his body was sweating from the efforts and after that he had take a quick cold shower, a pleasure few appreciated. Now he mounted his Carmelyn Warsteed and carried his second skin, his black heavy scalemail armor. Behind the red-haired man rode some of his men, clad in the same armor the Vagaran did, and behind them marched one hundred members of the newly formed Provincial Army, the Sherian Serpents. Their long pikes piercing the sky itself and their armors shinying as if made out of silver.

Their march had but one purpose, to leave the gates of Taralon and to head to the Training Fields nearby but fate had something to say and as they moved on something picked the interest of the Cencoris leading the group. A woman. A woman with green beautiful eyes and a long red mane, with her she carried what resembled Kemite blades. Soon Eyvind Redbeard Avornmagor Björnsson was thinking if this would be time to try and find the help he so much needed in the creation of this army, but such questions would have to wait until he knew exactly how this woman thought.

Calling for a halt when the collumn of men was passing by her with a raised fist he turned Arthalof, his horse in her direction and waved.

"Serale, citizen." he said with a polite voice while evaluating the woman standing in front of him "Are those weapons a symbol of your interest in the current situation of Sheria?"

Gwyneth stopped walking down the street as she saw what looked to be a battalion of men marching behind a group of mounted men all of which was led by a rather handsome red-haired giant of a man upon a beautiful Carmelyn Warsteed. Looking up at the man Gwyneth couldn't help but smile at his question.

"Serale, sir." she said softly. "No sir these wapons I carry are not a symbol of my interest in the current situation of Sheria. I carry them as a symbol of my undying love for my now deceased fiance. You see the two katannas were to be my engagement present to him, and the scimitar I bought for myself at the same time. I know nothing of the current situation in Sheria as I have just come from Archadoon where I was searching for my father. Thou if you have time I am willing to listen to what is going on here in Sheria. Who knows I might just decide to join your little group after all I do need something to do with my life. I have wondered these lands for to long alone and without purpose."

The Vagaran's face grew more serious when he heard of the woman's loss. He too knew what losing someone meant, after all his father had died and although Eyvind knew Björn was now in Sonos, ever battling for glory under the gaze of Aslan the World-Bound, the red-haired man still missed the bearded and grizzly looking elder. Knowing it had passed Eras until he had discovered his fate had been one of the greatest pains in the Cencoris soul but he had overcame it.

"I am sorry for the loss of your beloved one, I too know how it is to lose someone dear."

With a respectful nod to Gwyneth the Officer raised his hand and an older, blonde man with grey eyes approached. The dead were where they were and now the living had business to do.

"Bring me the spare horse, I'd like the lady to ride with us so she can see our little group."

The Shield Daekin nodded and grinned. With a whistle he motioned a Legionary to advance bringing a strong dark brown horse by the reigns. After receiving the reigns from the soldier, Eyvind returned his attention to the green-eyed woman.

"Would you like to ride with us while I tell you of the current situation of the Province?"

The Cencoris waited for Gwyneth to mount and then ordered the collumn to move. The sound of marching feet echoed in the streets as they headed for the gates.

"Sheria is at war, or will soon be. I think this explains it in a simple and quick way. The Legions are gathering to prepare a full invasion in Orc territory to retake the some cities occupied in the past by the greenskins, one of such cities is Narim. To help in the efforts and to defend the lands of Sheria the Provincial Government ordered the creation of the Provincial Army, the Serpents of Sheria. I am currently in charge of the training of such force and it is exactly what I'll show you, if you don't mind of course."

He said while riding, his eyes always in the road ahead, but in the end his showed the shadow of a smile to the woman who had a hair so similar to his.

Gwyneth listened to the gentleman on the hores say that he was sorry for her loss, and that he knew how it was to lose someone dear. "Thank you for those kind words sir.", Gwyneth said with a smile. Hearing the gentleman tell one of his men to bring a horse up to him, Gwyneth's eyes went wide for she had never before ridden a horse.

Seeing the strong dark horse Gwyneth takes a step back. "Excuse me sir, I must tell you that I've never ridden on a horse before. I will give it a try thou, but it might take me a bit to get on the horses back.", Gwyneth said softly. Gwyneth took a long look at the saddle on the back of the horse before walking up to the creature on it's left side. Reaching up Gwyneth grabs the pommel of the saddle in her left hand. She then places her left foot in the stirrup and places her right hand on the back of the saddle. Giving a small jump up, Gwyneth straightens her left leg as she swings her right leg over the back of the horse, at the same time she brings her right hand forward. Once she is astride the horse Gwyneth looks down at her right foot and places it in the stirrup. Gwyneth then takes the reins from the handsome red-haired man.

As they ride along Gwyneth listens to what the man has to say, nodding her head everyonce in awhile. "Sir I would be most honored to watch you train the Serpents of Sheria. Who knows perhaps by watching your men train with their swords I might even learn a little on how to use the swords I carry on my person."

The riders passed the Gates of the city and headed for the Training Fields. The sound of Taralon disappeared behind them as they rode and the silence of the wilderness surrounded the group.

The Vagaran frowned a bit when he heard the woman saying she wanted to learn how to use a sword by watching his men training. Then he shrugged and remembered himself that the best commander didn't always know how to hold a weapon, it was a matter of logic and perpective.

"So tell me, m'lady. Do you by any means know how to lead men in battle? The Provincial Army is in need of Officers and I am eagerly searching for them everywhere. As I found out, the woodsmen give good sergeants but they lack the view to become Officers."

A few minutes passed and they started hearing the sound of marching feet, steel against steel and random barking. They were getting close.

Having never ridden a horse before, Gwyneth makes sure to keep a close eye on what her companion does to get his horse to move. Even thou she had never ridden a horse, Gwyneth found to be quite enjoyable.

Gwyneth wondered why her companion frowned at her saying she wished to learn how to use her swords by watching his men train. "To be honest with you sir I've never led men in battle. So I'm not sure if I do know or don't know how to do it. I am however quite willing to give it my best shot. I do have to ask why did you frown when I said that I wanted to learn how t use my swords by watching your men train?"

At the first sounds of marching feet, steel against steel, and random barking Gwyneth felt something stir in her blood.
