Church of the Sacred Three
The chapel of the Sacred Three in Abestat was burrowed away in the very south west corner of the Synesi Plateia, surrounded by the cobblestone streets of the district. The church seemed to be surrounded by a empty, buildingless ring of respect, though people were always milling around out front. Being Abestat, of course, many of them were trying to flog shoddy and slightly less shoddy merchandise to any of the church goers, often without success.
The church was far from the biggest building in the Plateia, and had been built to imitate Dianite architecture. The building had been made from rough, standard blocks of stone, not like some of the richer building in the area, that had been built from dark granite. In front of the chapel, two trees had been planted in strategic places, the cobblestones below them replaced with soil and some low wooden fencing.
Stepping inside through the wide portal, its staunch wooden doors held open every hour of the day or night, one is greeted with a peaceful sight much more amenable to the practices of divinity. The room is somber, its pews dark and well-cleaned, lighting provided by pure white candles burning in a set of two copper candlebras in the vicinity of the preacher's pulpit. The only statement toward the grasping wealth of the less holy community transpiring beyond its sanctified walls is a stained glass pane depicting the splendor of the great goddess Diana, peering down cloaked in alabaster with a serene expression, her long hair blown behind her as though by a sweet and gentle breeze, arms held out as in a welcoming embrace. The colors are striking, glorious, giving just a hint of the king of aetheria standing at her one shoulder and the noble prince of honor at the other, all the expanse of the heavenly archonic host in serried ranks wingtip-to-wingtip at their backs. The glass is a reproduction of a painting done many eras before and recaptures every nuance perfectly as though those blessed enough to view it are witnessing a true divine visitation.
Among the rows of dark coloured pews a figure that contrasted greatly with the sober tones of the building could be seen walking daintily, and randomly, around the church. The spotless white robes she wore almost gave her an angelic appearence, crowned by a mane of dark brown-red hair that fell about her shoulders in a slightly haphazard manner. Eyes of a deep violet peeked out from delicate, elven facial features, accompanied by the typical pointy-ear look of her race. She looked up when she heard movement in the entrance to the temple, and immediately her path took on a more determined direction to the doorway of the church. He feet were clothed in white slippers, and her long robes made a faint 'swish' noise as the light material brushed the floor. A small, faint smile touched her lips before they opened to utter forth words of welcome.
"Serale. Welcome to the Church of the Sacred Three. Is there anything I can assist with?"
