Carter Collegio - Academy of Lore
The smallest of the three faculties of Carter College, the Academy of Lore was tucked away in a corner of the district, sporting only one, single sized building that held all the classrooms needed to teach it's offered courses. The academy had a trim, professional look about it, surrounded by lawns of expertly cut grass all arranged in expertly laid out geometrical shapes. The building was stone, and the entrance, contrary to the other two academies, was merely a normal-sized oak door that swung inward when pushed.
Once inside, there were generally a couple of students milling around the halls, waiting for their class to start with books and writing implements in hand, prepared for the next lesson. The foyer for the academy was again, smaller and less impressive that the other faculties of Carter College, but managed to obtain a scholarly air, if not a slightly arrogant one.
As per usual, a sign up desk was located in the room, and a engraved wooden board describing all the classes that were available. The clerk behind the desk was a mousy-haired human girl, probably in her late teens, and most likely in her first job. Her green eyes stared fixedly on the door, waiting for any more new sign-ups to approach her.
The wooden board listed a variety of classes that could be taken, naturally, all considered skills of lore.
Pricelist
Basic Reading & Writing - 100 Crowns
Mathematics - 100 Crowns

Yarrow had stumbled on the Academy accidentally. She had been looking for something very different, but what was another issue. She knew very little about anything and felt bad about that. History...what had happened to the world? Could history repeat itself? How could she change it? How could she learn from the past? That was why she was interested when she saw the prist list. For a 150 Crowns she could take a history course. Maybe it would even help her with battles if they studied old battles of the past. It was always something to think about...
Hello, miss. She said to the young clerk with a kind smile. She looked to be younger then Yarrow, but you could never tell these days. It was better to be safe then sorry. I saw your sign and see that you teach history here. I would like to sign up for a course.

The girl on the desk looked up from the open book she had been studying and gave Yarrow a friendly grin when she entered the smallest faculty of Carter Collegio. Her brown hair had been tied back into a pony tail, and a quill pen sat restlessly in her fingers as she answered the soldier's query on History lessons.
"Ooooh, yep, certainly. We have a teacher available, for a class that would start tomorrow, if that's convieniant? The price is a hundred and fifty crowns." She paused momentarily, giving an apologetic grin. "But if you saw the sign, you would have seen the price, I suppose."
Quickly flicking a few pages in the book, which was a directory of teachers and their students, she then gazed up at Yarrow again waiting for her confirmation of signing up for the class, and the one hundred and fifty crowns required to do so.

150 Crowns it is! Yarrow said. She made a mental note to stop by the pay office sometime in the near future to collect any pay that was collecting dust there. She had to remind herself to do that every so often. She didn't want to run low on coin...and what with all the classes and equipment she needed to buy...
Yarrow pulled out a bank note of 150 and handed it over. She decided that a history lesson would be helpful. She might be able to use it as well...sometime...

The clerk took the bank note with a smile, and deposited it in a large metal locking box that had been placed in a desk drawer. After, she ran a slightly stubby finger down the index of the registrar book and gave Yarrow the details of her class.
"Your lessons will take place in room 4A, and your teacher will be Mr. Tinden Fontesque. They will start early tomorrow morning." The clerk gave a smile. "I guess we'll see you then!"

Morning, Solaria, 2nd of Optia, Spring of Era X
Vincent walked into the collage. He was almost excited for some reason, the thought of learning something knew was appealing in so many ways to him and he could not wait to jump into the books. That is if it were not for the fact that he was almost completely illiterate. Walking to the counter Vincent said his peace "Good brightening. I am Vincent, Vincent Stefan. I was wondering if there is an opening in one of your basic reading and wrighting courses." His statement done Vincent waited for the clerk to respond.

Morning of Brightening 3 of Optia
Spring of Era X PF in the Age of the Darkening
Xanta entered the school and approached the girl sitting in the reception area. "I need to learn basic reading and writing," he said. "I find any line of work difficult without it."

The clerk, the youngish looking human girl, gave Vincent a pleasant smile and a nod.
"Certainly. We have a class available. The cost, you might know if you've looked at the board, is 100 crowns. That covers both the reading and writing portions of the lessons. Could I please take your name for the records?"
The girl waited patiently, her quill resting gently in her hand, as she waited for both the money and the customer's name.
Xanta
OOC: You can only do one major and one minor, or two minor training classes at a time. So far you've chosen to do Katana and Fletching training which are both major/war training threads. Could you please choose between them and do one of those as well as reading and writing. Thank you.

IC:"My name is Xanta'Kun," he said, reaching into his robes and withdrawing 100 crowns. He placed the crowns on the surface between him and the girl.

Vincent
The clerk nodded, and wrote the name down in the large book in front of her. After counting the money, she placed it in a large, lockable metal box placed inside a desk drawer.
She ran her finger down a column in the book carefully.
"Oooookay. Your teacher is Yanda Rydan. Your lessons will begin tomorrow, and will be in the mid-morning. Um, in classroom number 2A. That's on the ground floor."

"Thank you," said Xanta with a smile. He turned and left the registration building. He would return the next brightening at noon for his lessons.

[Timestamp: Aslanica, 5th of Imperos, Summer of Era X]
Morp entered the office with a clear mission in mind - to apply for geography lessons and then get out and onto the rest of his day. With this in mind, he checked the price for the lesson and then walked up to the desk and greeted the clerk, "Serale, I would like to apply for geography lessons."
