Basic Sword Training (Poicamel Only)
Sss'kal, and Poicamel soon arrived at the outskirts of Abestat's residential area. The large saurid stood tall, and then turned around to face Poicamel. "For now, we sssshall usssse only the training sssswordssss, and then we will get into the bladed sssswordsss," he said. The he handed Poicamel a wooden sword, that was the exact same size as his wooden sword, and also the same size as her crusader's sword.
"The firssst thing that I am going to teach you isssss how to hold the sssssword properly...." he said. He quickly lifted up his wooden sword, and showed Poicamel how his hand wrapped completely around the sword's handle, and the swordguard extended between his thumb and index finger, as well as the parts opposing them.
"Nexsssst, I am going to teach you the partssssss of the ssssssword," he said. He pointed to the part he was holding in his hand. "Thissssss issssss called the handle of the ssssssword..." he explained, and then pointed to the swordguard. "Thissssss issssss the sssssswordguard...and that issssss the blade..." he said finishing off by pointing to the long wooden piece that extended outwards from the swordguard. He would then await Poicamel's response, and would check over how she was holding the sword to make sure that it was correct...

"Right," Poicamel said, carefully holding out her sword with her left hand. She tried to wrap her hand around the handle of the sword and put her thumb and index finger on the swordguard. With her other hand she pointed to the different parts.
"So, this is the handle," She said, pointing to the part she was holding. "This is the swordguard," she said, pointing to the piece separating the handle from the blade. "And that's the blade, of course." She said, pointing to the long piece of wood on the sword. With a wry smile, she said: "The part that usually goes into your enemy."

OOC: Sorry about the delay Poicamel.
IC: Sss'kal smiled, inspecting her grip on the sword very carefully. "Good, good," he said after a few moments, then he quickly took his own sword, and stepped back from her. "Now, one of the firsssssst ever movessssss ssssssomeone issssss probably going to teach you, whether it be me, or ssssssomeone elsssssse, is called a sssssslassssssh. I want you to sssssslassssssh at me, sssssso that I can tesssssst your sssssstrengthssssss, and ssssssee your weaknesssssssessssss assssss well. Then i will be able to pinpoint them, and help you work on them assssss well assssss teaching you ssssssome new thingssssss..." he said. Then he stood there, and held his sword casually out infront of him, waiting for Poicamel to slash at him, so that he could teacher her a better method in doing so...

OC: No problem.
IC: Poicamel took a deep breath. "Ok," She said. "Here goes." She closed her eyes, mentally preparingherself. She remembered how angry she had been at Matthias, and how she had gripped her old sword then. Using all her rage, She opened her eyes and slashed at Ssss'kal...

Ssss'kal quickly saw the slash coming towards him. He moved forewards directly into it, bringing his sword up perpendicular towards Poicamel's. As he did so, his wooden swords connected with hers, and a large crack could be heard as they connected. He continued to pull his sword upwards, and then almost in a circular pattern, causing Poicamel's to turn strangely in her hand. As he finished the circle, he slashed outwards, pulling Poicamel's sword right out of her hands, only to let it land on the ground a few feet away.
"Good Job," said Ssss'kal. "Now, i am jusssst wondering...did you usssse asss much rage assss you could in that ssssslasssh? Becausssse if you did, that wassss probably the wrong thing to do. You don't want to usssse that many emotionssss when ssssword fighting, becausssse they can get into the way, and causssse you to fight blindly..." He then awaited a response from Poicamel so as to have her know that she understood what he said...
OOC: I'm sorry, Katelyn, but this is a private sword training thread. If you want basic sword training, I would suggest going to the military district, and applying for the military there to recieve basic sword training.

He's a mind reader Poicamel thought. And I'm still furious!
Trying to keep her voice even, though clenching her fists, she said, "Yes...that is the case." Hard as she might try, her words came through clenched teeth. "I was always under the impression that without rage is without purpose. Now," She said, picking up her training sword. "I was wondering if you could teach me that...useful little move."

OOC: alright time for me to start, your teacher is now an male elf of about 109 human years.
Kalerak chuckled "In time, but for now you must learn the basics of swordplay" He then took his sword and held it at waist level. "The next move I will show you is the thrust." he took his sword in one hand.
"To thrust you bring your sword straight-forward, towards the enemy. As you do this you need to step one foot forward, not only does it give a person more power in the thrust but it gives them better balance while executing the move. When you've gone the maximum length your arm can extend, you pull straight back" he then showed how to properly execute a thrust. As he did he stepped one foot forward as he thrusted with the sword.
"See, you get better balance when you step."he said as he pulled back and got back into standing stance.
"Now try it a few times to get the hang of it, after your done I want you to thrust at me."he said to Poicamel

OOC: THANK YOU!
"Alright," Poicamel said. Grasping the sword in her left hand, she loosened her arms and made ready to try the thrust. Attempting to do it all in one move, Poicamel stepped forward and extended her arm in what she hoped was at least acceptable thrust. Then she moved straight back as he had told her to, and looked back at Kalerak to see how she had done.

Kalerak nodded in approval. "Very good, one other thing that I suggest when you thrust is to make a half turn with the sword if you penetrate your enemy, it increases the chances of them giving up because of the pain."
He positioned himself infront of Poicamel. "Now thrust at me."

Poicamel nodded and obeyed. Loosening her arms once more, she prepared to thrust, hoping she wouldn't hurt her teacher. Well you can't think like that, She thought to herself. You'll never win a fight that way!
She tensed and gritted her teeth, deciding to pretend that it was not her teacher before her, but the smirking figure of her worst enenmy: Matthias. She stepped forward in a lunge, extending her arm and giving her sword a half turn as she was fully into the thrust, and then stepped back once again.

He stood as Poicamel thrusted, the tip of the wood sword touched his chest as she preformed the move.
He looked on with approval, "Very Good, now a jab is executed in the same manner but is just a quick move. It's mainly used for a quick strike, some use it to probe for an enemy's weakness."
"Now, the parry. First try a thrust at me and i will show you how the parry works."
