Second Brightening of the 1st cycle of Kalendryas, In the Season of Winter;
Era II of the Clelestine Mandate, Era XIV Post Fractum

Sitting down with the tall man, I introduce myself. My name is Glavenanth Chalmat. I came from a small village where I was not supposed to leave. I am running from the Devil Gods and seek a mentor to help straighten my mind. Do you know anyone that may help or in what direction I should move my life. Loosing the will not to turn away, I turn and start whispering to myself a bit. Very quickly I turn back to you with a almost puppy like look. Pleading for help.

So the man wasn't cured after all, his madness seemed to be the kind of those that come and go just to come back once more. Glavenanth wanted guidance, wanted his mind to get better, at least he said so. Eyvind wasn't exactly an expert with this kind of people but he knew the military could give the kind of shock terapy the man needed.

"I don't know exactly what you want, nor from what you are running from since Devil Gods mean nothing to me, but one thing I know, the Imperial Legions are a good choice for those who need guidance, I think that after the first cycle you will want nothing else but to leave it." Eyvind laughed a bit as he imagined Glavenanth as a recruit in the Legion "And there you will also learn how to defend yourself." Eyvind nodded towards his sword as if showing one way one would be taught how to defend himself.

Keeping a direct look in your eyes I seem to be completly sane for the moment. They will help me? Where can I find them? I want to be like my father, a great spear man. I need to learn to control myself and my actions. I mostly want to be normal.

After saying this I take an almond cookie from my plate placing it in my mouth. I offer another to you. I then turn away and start mumbling under my breath a bit, after which I take a third cookie and put it into my pocket. A keen eye would notice that my rocks are in that pocket also.

I position myself again looking at the 7 foot tall man.

"The recruitment office of the Legion is allocated in the Military District. I can take you there if you want..." Eyvind said slowly as the man started mumbling. The cookie in his hand didn't seem so tasty now he had seen where the man was placing the other, in a pocket full of stone! The man was defenitively mad! But still, Eyvind needed loyal man, those who would follow him to Aeternia if needed be, and who besides a madman would go to such place? Glavenanth would certainly be a good choice, although he couldn't know the complete extension of Eyvind's plans for his madness could betray the secret.

Eyes brightening. I have met someone o help me, finally. Please, lead me to them. They will help me, you have said. They will teach me! Let's go right away. I have my belongings. Turning not waiting for the Legionnaire I make my way to the door.

Stopping just outside the door, I turn and start talking again. Anyone passing by into or out of the tavern would be able to hear me. We are going to be in the military. They are going to teach us how to use my pa's spear. I will be a warrior and one with the weapon like my father had tried teach me. Hoping form one foot to the other, I wait for the tall man to make his way out of the tavern to lead me to my future. To lead us to the future.

The man's reactions could not be predicted. It was better to take this chance of having someone working for him than losing it so Eyvind finished his tankard and left some crowns in the counter over the foulded newspaper.

"The payment is here!" he yelled to the waitress and pointed, turning he walked to the door.

"Before we go there we must talk about business, are you up to it?"

Outside waiting for the big armored giant to follow, I just catch the end of what Eyvind was saying. Business? What do you mean by this business? I thought you were going to take me to someone that can help me and teach me things. Take me to the Imperial Legions. We can talk on the way there.

Turning again away from you he starts a conversation with himself. This giant seems to be wanting something from me. I wonder what he would want? O well, if it will lead me to teaching and becoming one with my spear then maybe it will be worth it.

Besides mad the man was a little bit deaf, that wasn't good for a future soldier. Shruging and shaking his head Eyvind followed the man. The cold air hitting Eyvind's face was almost like a blessing, the hot wet one inside the Crown could suffocate sometimes. Pulling his green cloak a bit up to avoid touching in the muddy ground Eyvind paired up with Glavenanth on their way into the Military District.

"This way good fellow." Eyvind pointed the direction

"What I meant with business is if you are prepared to commit yourself to the Legion? It is a great commitment since you will have to serve for a long time. They will teach you how to fight with many different weapons, including the spear. but you will have to serve and fight for the Legion and the Empire. Are you ready to do that?" Eyvind paused for a moment, then he continued "Before answering to the other questions tell me, what do you think about the Empire?"

Stopping dead in my tracks and glancing up and the winter clouds overhead I start mumbling something under my breath. I whisper so low that it comes out as bit more than a low growl. To onlookers it would seem that I was growling to the moon.

Not looking down I start speaking out loud. The empire I have no information on. I guess you are as good of a person to tell than any other. I am a Linn Feanii. If you do not know of my race then let me enlighten you a bit. I am a prior slave form a far off place that was moved here before my time. My ma and pa are one of the only ones to finally get it through their head that they needed to leave our village no matter what the devil gods said. So, the empire you asked? I have no ideas. Good, bad, or the other I am in this city to learn and if I must attach myself to something bigger than myself I shall do that. For this juggler bit, it keeps me out of trouble from most vagrants since mad men are unpredictable. I learned that from my pa and have done it since the new cities. Sorry to make you uneasy around me.

Turning to look directly in your eyes you see that I have a fierce look of determination and a bit of uneasiness residing in his gaze. By the way I do not have a visa. The gates in both Paxia and Prime have asked me for one. I never got one in my village. I have just walked into both cities without a problem, but I do not know if the legionnaires will need to see mine. If you think that I may get along without one then please enlighten me a bit on the empire and their beliefs on our way to my future.

After saying this I give you a nod and then take back out my rocks. I start to juggle them in a bit of a loop.

"Hmm...the Empire." Eyvind stated as if speaking to himself, after a short pause he continued "The Empire is everything that surrounds you right now. Every acre of land you can see is part of the Empire. This Empire stretchs across vast territories called Provinces. Each Province has its own government. To mantain control over the Empire the Emperor has his Legions spread across it, the purpose of the Legions is to defend and keep the Empire together. If you would like to know, this is the capital city of the Empire, Alleria Prime!" with a smile Eyvind looked to Glavenanth "Maybe I haven't give you detailled information but anything you need just ask!" he winked "About your visa, after joining the Military you will probably be given one."
