I will have no man in my boat who is not afraid of a whale (Open)

"Call me Ishmael."
That's what the wizened old navit said as he gazed the elven sentry in the eye, pipe clutched tightly in between yellowed and near-rotting teeth, a crew of sailors and three marines in a short distance from him. Despite having a ranking officer in their crew, there was without a doubt that Ishmael was their leader.
As they said in the Navy, the Trieririus may be in command, but Ishmael was in charge.
"Where be your leaders?"
Gruff as the voice was, it seemed like a pretty long conversation. The navit looked like the sort who could tell a tall tale, but a conversationalist, he seemed not.
