Lorekeeper
The Departed

25th Aperitus

The time had come. Chrysannia Syl'lithar had decided it was her time to step away from the forests of her beloved home. She had only been outside of the Syl'rosyan Valley once before. It was not so long ago now, just over an era, but that had been for but two short months. She was returning to the place that she had gone then, to the once proud Elfhame of Medonia, the birthplace of her mother. Chrysannia had a few contacts within the city the most important at that time being the noble Placidian who she would be going to see.

She had been preparing to leave Syl'rosya for a while now, she had things to take care of away from home. Things that could not be done while she stayed safely within the forests. These were delicate issues that she would prefer her Combine peers not to know of. There was one though that when the time came she would notify and hopefully he would come when asked, money would be no object. That elf, the one she had worked with more then once would be her only lifeline to Syl'rosya once she left.

Granted that she had done many things that would need to be taken care of recently. Chrysannia had faith that when she returned to her home they would still be there. Her time gone would be only until the turning of the season, the warmer months would herald her return to the Elfhame. This was something she was sure of and would do all that she could do uphold.

"Come my love, we must go." Her voice rang true as she sat within the confines of traveling carriage. The one she called out to was her lover, Jaraelium Celerrond. The only reason she was not going alone was because of his insistence that it was too dangerous to go alone.

"I wish you didn't want this so much dearest." Were his words as he climbed into the carriage and took his seat beside her. Their hands entwined and they shared a small kiss.

"I wish I didn't either." Chrysannia replied as she looked out her window at the home that she was leaving behind.
