From the murmuring forests to the boisterous City Stockade, no secret is truly private. The ancient trees whispers tales and lore from place to place, and the mischievous breezes that stream throughout the Valleys steal and carry voices far, far away. In the sheltered woodland where Elves move silently and noiselessly, and the stars and moons make more noise than the Elves themselves do.
There was a saying that there was 'no smoke without a fire', and in the Elfhame, it spreads like a conflagration. Words in the Brightening are picked up by birds; in the night, they are heard by the mice.
The tight-knit community between the various Elfin, Katta and Human communals do little to curb the spread of information and intelligence, and rumors and gossip are always plentiful, though it is completely up to one to discern the validity of the words, to decipher the fact from the fiction, myth from the legend.

Cryxatum
Rumors are abound that the traitor Half-Esh'lahier is already away from the Elfhame, giving rise and rumors that there are other agents within the Syl'rosyan Valley that had harbored him and thereafter allowed him to escape under the scrutiny of the guards and wardens.
With the former Lord of Gil'dae gone and away, his own twin,
Arwen Gil'dae had wasted little time, and had approached many other Houses to seal an alliance and cooperation to keep Gil'dae's influence within the Combine.
A wedding is imminent between the two childhood lovers, Heru Jaraelium Celerrond and Arwen Chrysannia Syl'lithar, as one of the Elfhame's most secretive couples finally come public with their relationship.
With the rising to the mantle of leadership in her House, the
Arwen Gil'dae had been repeatedly seen together with the reclusive
Heru Mynendil. Many suspect that
Heru Mynendil will soon switch loyalties from Luviel to another as a conflict of interest will inevitably arise.
Magic continue to fail, and a horrible rumor spreads that the blame arose from one of the Aesoteric Circle's botched experiments. People demand answers though neither the Aesoteric nor the Combine had made any announcements.
Aperitus
Anti-Elfin sentiments grow, with several suspected Imperians spreading propaganda to destabilize the people's faith in the Governance. They are believed to be waiting for the chance to overthrow the City once the Thane and her entourage leaves for Prime, with the speculation that she seeks the independence of the Elfhame from the Empire.
With the Combine remaining at a thirty-four member Conclave as compared to a thirty-five full seat, former members of the infamous Elder Circle are believed to be eyeing that spot which would see them having a voice in one of the most powerful Elfin organization upon the Empire.
Optia
Rumors that a Shrine or Monument to Phedos is to be constructed on the Emerald Gardens spark a wild response of jubilant, as the former structure had been destroyed and torn down in the aftermath of the Elfin Rebellion to crush and destroy the morale of the Elvish insurgents. It has been some one thousand odd Eras since a site or worship for a main Elvish deity has been built on Elven soil, and two Eras after the Shrine to the Dreamer was erected just off the coast of Ce'lontael Beach by Countess Trell'yan.
The E'reene Fae Circle are exploring the deeps of the Tawnleaf to seek a possible site for a construction for a Relief House for all Fae-kin within the Elfhame, as well as a place for them to learn and expand more on the unique Fae-Elfin culture. The move is said to be sponsored by the Combine, who was the target of anti-Elfin factions within the Elfhame claiming that minorities within the City Stockade are being marginalized.
The damage to magic deepens, and mages find it harder and harder to cast even the simplest of spells. Many Elves are distraught by the peculiar occurrence and many believe that it was a sign from the Gods that the end is approaching.
