It was a slippery affair and many a fisherman could attest to similar struggles where strength alone was not enough to win the contest. This was the same for if the mood were to dither, both contestants lose.

No this was a contest with unwritten rules and the most important one was, as in theatre, that the show must go on.

The pair grappled and wrestled while taking the time to apply appropriate pleasurable pressure at the right parts to keep the momentum going until after a few switches Prienne was able to get the Pirates into the position she wanted although it was hard to say whether it was by consent or greater might.

Either way the position worked well to rob the Pirates of sufficient leverage to work against the weight of Prienne so the position remained static for a lot longer than in previous jolts.

"So you wish a partnership then?" the Pirates said breathlessly "even though Pirate stories are filled with treachery"

What was the point of that statement? It didn't seem to further the negotiation terms but instead suggested she were weakening her bargaining position? Perhaps it would all be explained later. Perhaps she was showing weakness that game with playing the game of lust. Sosny opponents expose their weaknesses in the beds and arms of their sexual partners afterall

The pirate's eyes were sharp even behind the dulling effects of pleasurable coitus. Gleams of sweat could be seen on her skin from the exertion while her long arms and strong hands actively pulled Prienne towards herself and down upon her sword used in the previous battle. It was not the taste of keen steel but the pressure of willing flesh at met Prienne in that moment and yet the moment was not yet over as all things were being thrust toward the crescendo. Something Prienne couldn't help but to notice as there was a stiffening that could not be denied. It was an all told familiar sensation and one that many women knew, satisfied or not, when a man was reaching their peak they got harder and faster in their movements.

Priene's tongue darted out between her lips, obviously happy with the position that she had managed to attain. Even if it was simply a matter of the Piratess humoring her for the moment, she had procured an appropriate context for the conversation to continue. Using the Piratess' legs to steady herself, she made sure to use the position to her advantage, riding hard and fast, letting the Piratess enjoy the spray of the sea in her face. One could not sail upon the high seas and be afraid of getting wet, after all.

There was a previous point that Priene could now continue to make conversation on, having secured her 'superior' position. And so the question came, did she not fear the treachery that the Piratess might pose? The larger any operation, the greater the security risk, after all. But these were inevitable growing pains for any organization, and it was a risk that the Alithean was willing to take. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

"Your treachery would merely be failure on our part," Priene noted, grinning down at the Piratess, grinding her hips in circles and fully encouraging the rapidly impending cannon shot. "The content do not betray. The satisfied brook no thoughts of rebellion. It will be our task to keep you loyal - to preach the cause, to ply the faith."

What had the Piratess asked for earlier? To show promises, to see what divine name was to be called out - for there to be trust. Very well! Before the Piratess' eyes, Priene began to put on a show. "Tell me, do you have a type?"

There was a flourish of her head, her hair changing to a fiery red, eyes a deep green. "Perhaps this would be more to your liking? Would it please you to empty yourself in such a lass?" The color of her skin shifted, becoming a shade more common among the human folk, freckled, a wholly new individual now grinning down at the Piratess.

"Something more like this?" Taking a deep breath, letting her bosom swell further, hips widening, taking on a far curvier appearance, providing quite the show for the Piratess down below as she bounced, and ground, and swayed atop her partner.

"Or maybe even something more... familiar?" She teasingly stuck her tongue out at the Piratess, allowing a sword of her own to form between her legs, flopping and bouncing, a show of masculinity in spite of the amply feminine rest of her body. Equivalent in size to the Piratess if not perhaps a touch more, and fully functional from the look of it as Priene, too, was greatly enjoying her ride.

"Alithea will provide," Priene finally revealed part of the enigma that had been wrapped around their conversation. "Speak what would please you. We would do our best to see it done."

So, the cards were down. Perhaps this would be a tale of treachery - but rare were the tales, really, that saw such pirates have happy ends.

The piratess did not have the advantage not the insight to tell divine intervention from changeling parlour tricks. In this contexts that did not matter as the piratess, clearly more fluid in her affections by most standards, was impressed.

She handled her way over the newly developed sword with a combination of list and curiousity

"My you are a delight!" said the piratess in complete inhibition "Alithea? The God-Queen of desire? You truly are worthy of her mantle"

Coherent thought was once again distracted as Prienne felt a shift towards a loss of control but the Piratess wasn't ready to let go yet.

The Piratess had relaxed and let Prienne hold her in place without much effort but now she showed why she favoured the bed as the battleground to the arena as her legs spread out suddenly so the strength Prienne was employing thrust her off balance but still on top of the Piratess. With a surprise maneuver using their deliciously moistened state the Pirates briefly uncoupled herself so she may refocus the attack.

"There once was a hot and muggy night" the well endowed woman started as she admired Prienne's changes in her body "and a beautiful ship run by a beautiful red haired woman. A rival of many years. I caught her ship in the fog that had descended in the middle of the hot night. A fog that had befouled us for we had entered a stretch of ocean belonging to a strange collection of sea-fae."

A single finger was used to explore the outside of Prienne as she told her story.

"I took the ship by surprise but never did I get the chance to take her by surprise." the Pirates explained making it clear where she wanted to go next as the moistened finger began to explore "My starting price? My Lady in Red to serve your lady in bed. You can teach me the right prayers as we go. Now for my first gift to you, Champion."

Had she figured it out or was it an honorary title? Hard to tell. It was said with such lustrous affection that it could go either way. Likely an entirely ordinary event in the court of the fox. However there was a difference. Her voice sounded less commanding. She was taking initiative but yet she sounded submissive. Apparently the desired effect had been reached so whatever came next was something not to do with dominance.

There was a new smell to the air? An oil? Smelled pleasant, like elderberry, which as the alchemist would know, was a hallucinogen that was commonly used by the fae to help suspend disbelief and 'see' the world differently and, naturally, to enhance physical sensations in line with the predominant mood. What had the other hand been retrieving whilst she told her story?

Well as fishing stories go the Piratess had taken the bait. There was still the details, of course, to follow as well as a glowering idol looking in on them from the bench. Was it disapproving or perving on them?

Any such thought was cut short as a freshly oiled sword deposited elderberry between each other by way of the stern. The method of delivery feel free to wax lyrical on the type of pleasurable hallocinogenis trip that would accompany Prienne's pleasures saw a quick entry into its effects. The noises of the world, including those from the embers of the sex party outside, which had seemed to grow louder with high pitched screams again, were a blur to a sexually infused reality introduced with a story about taking a red haired sea captain by surprise in a fog.

Well, the shapeshifting was an ability that had been provided by the divine - and so it was a proper injection of divinity into their activities, was it not? Except for that very last part, where Priene had acquired herself a weapon of her own. That one was a different skill, one acquired through other means. No less pleasant in this context, indeed.

The sword was certainly happy to meet its opponent. Only a few moments, only a few movements, and it was fully unsheathed in all of its glory, obviously liking the attention that the Piratess gave it. Perhaps it was more akin to a bludgeon or a cudgel than a honed blade, but no less a potent weapon in any case. Priene's tongue flicked happily over her lips at the Piratess' most expert handling, obviously comfortable even if the weapon was not her own.

The duel was to continue, then! With both swords drawn, no longer could Priene complain that she was an improper combatant. A bit of fencing was in order. En garde!

The two separated, maintaining a respectable distance from each other for now. A brief respite, a momentary intermission. There was a tale to be spun after all, a pleased hum escaping Priene's lips as she felt that finger. She took a grasp of her own weapon, polishing it slowly and deliberately, making sure that it would be ready for what was to come.

That finger found the terrain yielding and pliant before it, no stranger to trespassers it seemed. Even if the path was well-explored it did not seem particularly worn, a combination of a number of factors having ensured that it was as snug a journey as it needed to be. After all, an establishment that accommodated many a traveler but became run-down in the process would quickly find business drying up. If anybody wanted to avoid such a death knell, it would be an Alithean - and the same could be said of who could find the means to avoid such a fate.

Now, as the spinner of the tale, it would be up to the Piratess to let Priene know if any adjustments needed to be made before they continued. Otherwise, things would simply continue as they were. Or perhaps that made it all the more exciting for the Piratess, regardless of what the actual accuracy of their woven story might have been? Introduce a bit of hallucinogenic element into the mix, and perhaps in the end it wouldn't matter at all. Their minds could make up for the gaps, filling in all of the details as needed.

The hope, certainly, as that the capricious nature of elderberry worked to their advantage. The fae, after all, were well-known for their mischief.

One imagined that properly anchoring their experience would help quite a bit with that. The purported story fresh in their minds could make them impressionable, and of course their physical activities were a very real mainstay. It didn't take long at all for there to seem to be the smell of sea salt in the air, for the room to sway as if they were on an ocean-worthy vessel out in the waves, a thick fog clouding what few apertures were present in the ship's hull. The elderberry lent them their setting, but it was nevertheless the two actors who had to go through with the play.

Let it not be said that the Piratess' red-haired rival went quietly into the night, oh no. It was a showdown worthy of the years of history the two of them had shared - Priene made sure that the lady in red was given her fair shake. In the end, the boom of cannon this time around would not be of a violent or warlike nature, something far friendlier indeed.

And thus Prienne invoked her own experiences in the moment. Whether or not the hallucination was entirely shared was difficult to know but the stage had been set with the first suggestion and thus Prienne experienced the smell and motion of the sea and the creaking of wood taking on the power of the sea but of course in the back of Prienne's mind was the trickery of the far and this half remembered stories of Fae trickery were ever there just beneath the surface.

For now that was by the wayside as the story began. Physically she had been attached to the lady and bent over but now her mind soared with the idea of a firey red haired pirate lady that was both a rival and object of desire for the pirate. As a shapeshifter becoming unstick was that little bit easier so the character came about Prienne with ease and yet she still hadn't the name....

Something remedied by the Pirates who, seemingly, had slipped out.... "Well if it isn't Delilah the Merciless" the introduction started "Terror of sailors from Terramanique to Fintagel"

And with that Prienne had her stage name which, for the moment held in it an incredible compulsion to be that role, such was the nature of some hallucinogenics. It was a powerful name that implied she was strong and able. That she commanded her ship masterfully and preyed upon the waters as ably as any shark preyed upon fish.

"I have finally caught up with you." said the rival pirates [b]"Thought you could get away with all the treasure? What and after all those promises?"[/b

Outside was the sound of louder shouting and fighting, it seemed so real that it could be literal, imagined or real overlaid with interpretation. Afterall thenpieatess was in the captain's room of Delilah, apparently, which she could not simply have waltzed into...

Was there also hint of a history there? The rival's voice sounded almost like a jaded lover and all this fed into the self-ideal of Delilah. The implication was a masterful manipulation of the Pirates to have earned her trust only to betray her in some distant venture. Now? It seemed the pirates.desired.retribution and fulfillment of promise. The all too familiar flint of lust in the eye of the Piratess was there all the while as Prienne come Delilah could spy treasure overflowing in the background that showed overabundant success. Surely it hadn't if been there before? Heck the entire room had begun to shift upon Priene's interpretations to Delilah. It no longer was the room beforehand that had the trappings of the Pirates but now it were a room, based on reality ostensibly to the tastes of Delilah.

Now, however, was Prone or Delilah more in charge of their sensibilities right now? Would Delilah put up a fight, make love or find option 3 and what would Priene do? The Pirates had made a request, a price, for her loyalty and the hallucinogen gave the opportunity to fulfill that price but in it came a danger. The pirates had a very real idea.how Delilah would react and an easy conquest might break the illusion.

This was a test for Priene. She was but one fascade of Sliucha who herself was quite capable of playing roles of her own choice. Could she fulfill this role of another"s choice based on a few suggestions and words?

The stage was set, break a leg!

It was easy to lose one's self in the haze, part of it simply being the nature of the hallucinogen itself, another being the willingness to simply give in to the experience and see where it went. "Go with the flow", as they said, and see where the currents took you. It was just another story to be told after all, although this time there were two who were crafting the tale. The hope was that the physical intimacy and closeness that they shared - not to mention the elderberry being shared between them - might ensure that the two captains were steering their boats the same way.

There Delilah was, then, introduced in all her glory. Such a 'surprise' the attack had been that it was over before the fiery redhead knew it, and this time around it seemed that her rival had managed to properly catch the captain unawares. Whatever marvelous gambit found them in this situation - whatever its actual effectiveness had been - led to Delilah quite literally being caught with her pants down.

Even so, Delilah remained cocksure, never one to wilt in the face of danger. It didn't matter that she was almost entirely naked, it wasn't as if the Piratess hadn't seen all there was to Delilah already, after all? Covered in freckles, no blushing maiden trying to cover her bosom or shield her privates, nay! Delilah stuck out her chest, having nothing on but the tricorn captain's hat she had managed to nab - a pistol in one hand, a rapier in the other. No time to clothe herself, but what proper pirate could stand without a weapon?

"You wound me, love," Delilah teased her rival, lover, former partner, and now vengeful enemy. "Only Terramarique to Fintagel these days? Plenty more ocean than that to terrorize, don't you know?" Her tongue poked out between her lips, playful despite the obvious hostility of the situation. Delilah's pistol nevertheless remained pointed at the air - although her blade was definitely held out in front of her, at the Piratess.

Delilah certainly wasn't one to surrender easily.

"Finally caught up indeed, I really did think for a moment there I'd manage to get away," Delilah noted with a shrug, masterfully twirling the pistol in her hand. "Therein lies the problem, love. I really did think I could do it. There's no honor among thieves like us. Might makes right - and you went soft. It's not my fault that I took the opportunity that I saw. It's yours for giving me an opportunity to begin with, don't you think?"

There was a momentary pause, as she listened to the din outside. A losing fight, it seemed. Her gaze wandered back towards the Piratess, and the way her tongue flicked over her lips this time was more sensuous, slow and deliberate and filled with desire. The two of them had come together for a reason, after all, sharing certain mannerisms and predilections. If there had been a betrayal it was because the Piratess had shown a momentary weakness. Now that they had proven themselves strong once more, Delilah's heart was momentarily won over as well. It was in the nature of pirates to be so tempestuous, after all.

"It seems you're properly hard up again, just the way I like you," she noted with a grin, now pointing her pistol directly at the Piratess. "You've bested my crew, but you've yet to best Delilah the Merciless. What say you? A woman as naked the day as she was born, challenging you to a duel by sword!"

The pistol, discarded to the side, and a dueling stance taken on with rapier once again pointed towards the foe. "Are you so dishonorable, weak, and cowardly - so much a cur as to refuse? You've yet to win the day, love. Prove you deserve this treasure!" The Piratess had won some points back from catching Delilah off guard. Could they overcome this last hurdle to accomplish what they had set out to do?

Perhaps the role wasn't all that incompatible with an Alithean ideal? Pirates followed a list for wealth and riches and booty. Seeking the booty of the flesh was really a mere extension.

With Delilah's suggestion that the noise outside were her crew the piratess grew in confidence.

"You let her man grow slow and slack" the Pirates said "Do not think I will be caught soft with you ever again, pet"

There it was. Prienne had known it before when the Pirates had attempted to assert dominance on her but this was aimed towards the facade, not the person.

"So you seek that honour of a fair fight?" came the mocking response to the challenge "Very well, we shall duel but don't expect any mercy"

Taking Delilah's sword in hand came a gentle touch and then a swift grip as Delilah found herself pulled towards her rival lest she favoured the pain of resistance. The hallucinogenic made the pain more real to the actor underneath like this was actually her only form, but Prienne, Sliucha and the mind underneath remained and was still aware if muddled by suggestion and drugs.

A heated kiss was added filled with passionate strength of unbridled lust and desire. It was a power expression of the ideal that surely the Goddess would glower with satisfaction seeing her champion's work inspiring it.

"Surrender to me now and it will be quick" Valentina said flipping the old pirate line into another context. The inflection and tone made it obvious what she really expected and wanted.

Priene remained free to do as she pleased as she had not been locked into position but with the kiss soon came a strong thrust of direction down. She was going to see her rival show some respect. Of course, there were many ways to counter such a straightforward move and it would take nothing short of a person ready to fully surrender to merely acquiesce.

Outside the shouts and yells were drawing to a close as expected in a fight that was mostly one-sided. Outside also came the creaks and friend of timbers under the weight of footsteps near the door yet, a moment lost in time with the smell of the salty sea filling the landlocked ship that swayed as if it truly were in the ocean and a mere distraction from Valintina's lean, toned body with nicks and scars marking the perfection of the flesh showing a life of danger that came so far. Yet the flesh was still supple. Pirates were famous for their poor health in history books but Valentina was like that right out of a pirate adventure! Only a very successful pirate could eat well enough to be this healthy. Of course, any such pondering would come from being lost under Fae induced distractions of the mind. Her evident health in the real world was far less unexpected.

"You never were too difficult to get hard," Delilah sniped, tongue poking between teeth in a smug smirk. The two of them exchanged their quips and barbs, the sexual tension more than evident between the two pirates, but the threat of violence nevertheless remaining very real between the two of them. They weren't made for an idealistic soft life, after all, they took what they wanted with bloodshed and brutality.

There was a hiss as the Piratess made the first move, with a quick little skirmish between the two of them to start things off. There would perhaps be a momentary bit of fencing before they drew back once more, each to sound off their respective repartee. Valentina demanded Delilah's surrender? "Afraid you won't last long against me?" came the jeer from Delilah. "Don't be such a quick shot."

Delilah was hardly one to simply scurry around, avoiding a fight. She quickly re-engaged, practically snarling into the kiss, initiating a wild sparring session between the two of them. A proper swordfight would have perhaps avoided such frenetic and frequent clashing of the blades - it certainly looked flashy, but it was a good way to ruin the cutting edge and didn't accomplish much. It certainly didn't stop Delilah, however, aggressively seeking out Valentina's tongue, clashing and sliding and even nipping at it.

But there was still plenty more sparring to do, of course. The Piratess attempted to claim her treasure but Delilah was no easy mark - she would not allow so easy a plunder. There was a duel to be won, a fight to be had, and victory had yet to be secured. There was a determined movement of her body out of the way of the thrust, a wild grab with the hand. Valentina didn't think she was the only one take control of the situation, did she? Something to block access, and seize the sword of her enemy. A counter!

Momentum could perhaps see both swords sliding along each other in yet another duel. Thrusting, grunting, rubbing against each other - no less violent and frenzied a duel then the one above. Each side sought to plunge their sword into the other, wrestling and tumbling about amidst the pleasure. Such fights were close and intimate affairs, Delilah masterfully controlling and working over the swords with one hand, distracting her opponent with the other. Squeezing here, grabbing there, pinching here, flicking there.

A wild and furious match deserving of Valentina's rival. That was the aim. One that made sure to build the Piratess up, and ensure that if she were to secure victory here, that she had earned the spoils - and all the better the revelry afterwards.

Once Delilah felt that a sufficient passion boiled inside of the Piratess? She'd carefully slipped in an opening for Valentina - a quick riposte that would let the Piratess sink her blade home. One could not face another with the nickname "the Merciless" and afford mercy in such a duel.

Valentina and Delilah were about to have a joust truly worthy of a lustful bardic tale when the shouts outside gave way to a tremendous thud. Apparently someone had not thought to spare the beautiful door as it shattered under the remarkable power of someone's extraordinarily powerful kick. Only someone with martial prowess could have managed it.

With the initial shock bringing both of the lovers' attention to the door came a familiar face yet dressed in imperial uniform. It was the Pirates that fed the hallucination by naming the shade.

"Commodore Perry" said Valentina in a mocking tone "Finally come to your senses and decided to join us pirates? Or are you here on 'official business?"

The bald head of the man and demeanour was familiar even through the hallucinogenic haze and generally hallucinations that could shatter doors were at least partly real.

The 'Commodore' appeared dressed in Imperial Navy Uniform and looked the part with a sideholster for a pistol. In his hands, however, was a crossbow. It was unusual for a navy man of high rank to use such weapons but not unheard of. It was unusual, however, to have a piston and a crossbow so which one was real and which the hallucination? Getting shot would be open way to find out but this was a far hallucination so the mind may bend enough to take a 'real' injury. That would not be ideal.

As for the pirates, ungarbed, there were still their weapons, real or imagined, close by. Sliucha was an archmage thaumaturg but in this moment her mind was bent to the persona of Delilah who was assuredly not an archmage thaumaturg. There was a far easier path to wealth and power to a mage of such high talents than taking to the sea and raiding ships and if a piratess such skills they would take more than a commodore to apprehend.

That said even if Delilah couldn't use Sliucha's powersz perhaps Sliucha's powers could be used within the twisted logic of a hallucination? Pirates had been known to have dirty tricks and Thaumaturgy assuredly could be creatively used by a skillful mage but could Sliucha bend her will into the hallucination? That was the test.

"Whoee pirates" said the Commodore with a familiar manly voice robbed of its pretence and instead filled with malice of someone self assured in their righteousness "Should be cleansed from Telath as well as those that cavort with them"

The commodore, surrounded by 3 other seamen of scruffy appearance of the lower ranks with low discipline, didn't just let his words do the striking and let loose a bolt from the crossbow. It was aimed at the Piratess Valentina who hadn't a steel sword in hand to even try and defend. That said you don't survive a pirate's life by waiting to be hit and she had already started to dodge before the sentence had even been finished

Fast but not fast enough. The bolt struck true in the shoulder piercing deep into the flesh. Was it real? Well Valentina's screech of pain suggested it was but was that because they both expected it to hurt or that it actually did?

Valentina was already covering the distance to her sword and apparently the bald man was reaching for his while he commanded his motley crew.

"Butcher them like dogs! came the command "We'll hang their corpses from the rafters for all to see! For Aslan!"

Perhaps there was a non violent means out of this struggle? Possibly, probably, but that still meant neutralising the threat. And an Aslan enthusiast?! Well the Navy did like Honour.

Oh? Goodness, what was all this, then? Had Valentine fallen in with a strange bunch, all just to catch little ol' Delilah? The natural query as to whether Valentina felt like she couldn't handle Delilah on her own and needed to bring a few more boys along for the ride quickly died out as the Piratess identified just who exactly their rude guest was.

Commodore Perry, hm? Sounded like a right prat. Even if Valentina might have wanted to share, Delilah wouldn't have felt quite so generous. Luckily, it seemed like there was an entirely different agenda that had been pushed onto their plates.

It all happened so quickly, but it seemed that the duel with Valentina would have to wait another day. For now, the Commodore and his men needed to deal with a most indignant Delilah, quite unhappy that her duel with Valentina had been interrupted, and worse yet, they'd marred the Piratess she'd been fencing with.

"You duck-knee'd dung munchin' scruvy baboon!" Delilah declared, quickly backing up a touch as Valentina advanced. In this scenario Sliucha didn't have her usual arsenal, but what good pirate captain didn't have tools and trinkets at the ready for a situation like this? Having been boarded by Valentina was one thing, but these men of the 'navy' were another entirely.

So it was that Delilah quickly plucked out a particularly intricate handgun, and clutched a golden amulet with ruby laid in center. The best pirate captains made sure they had the best weapons, and a bit of magical protection never hurt, either. Functionally, holding on to the amulet provided her with a level of "magical thaumaturgical protection", while the handgun was capable of dispensing "magical burning ammunition" with each pull of a trigger, not needing to reload.

But in the hallucinogen, it was merely a magical warding trinket, and a particularly effective handgun.

"I'll slam your head on a marlin spike, you pig faced lard brained gobshytes!" she roared, firing her gun at every one of those scurvy Navy dogs, careful of course not to hit Valentina. She was a crack shot, no worries there. Blam, blam, blam, blam. "You dare drag your syphilitic slimey selves onto my ship? You'll learn why they call me the Merciless, you butt ugly rot rumps!"

If Delilah's vicious diatribe came as any shock to Commodore Perry it expressed itself in a strange way as he smiled cruelly as they began to engage in a skirmish.

The commodore was quick enough to dodge the projectiles that came his way, or so it seemed at least, and deftly prepared an attack of his own.

Meanwhile Valentina was not so easily indisposed and quickly recovered herself to receive the attacking crew alongside her lover and sparring partner of the moment.

Her sword at the ready she braced and parried a strike from one of the syphilitic slimey toads that was attacking which, by Delilah's suggestion, did indeed look like a disease ridden monster with puss and slime dripping away as he struck. Disgusting.

When Valentina responded and gutted the creature to Delilah's perspective the disease ridden creature was gutted like a Pinata and explodes out from his wounds with puss, slime and what looked like amphibian blood.

It seemed the imperial Navy accepted anyone these days. Or perhaps anything.

Commodore Perry continued to ignore his side arm and instead appeared to be preying as he clutched on to an axe and sword.

"Such a foul mouth, there, gingerwhore" the Commodore responded "Don't worrry, after Ioannes is finished judging you, you'll have plenty of reasons to curse!"

Delilah had made herself the apparent target in the room with her weapon. It hadn't the potency of a repeating pistol but it was a very effective weapon at leaving scorching hot holes in men.

Apparently the commodore missed that as the bubbling puss geyser next to him showered him in gruesome sickness. Hands feebly reached at the hole to block the wound but otherwise this meant the were two less Conant ready threats closing in on them.

Commodore then went in to engage Delilah with a left handed axe strike first. It wasn't particularly fast and Delilah had the time to decide how to react. The sword arm was poised, however, and Delilah could see those hungry fanatical eyes waiting to stick the sword wheresoever she thought she could duck away to. Whether or not the good Commodore was aware of a warding trinket or not was unclear but the strike was still inbound and demanded a response.

Her weapon, however, needed reloading. In this hallucination pirates had flint lock pistols. Strong opening volley shots that could blow big baleful holes in men but needed reloading after. It was a flashy weapon but now she needed another trinket or flashy explanation to bring Sliucha's skillsets into the rules of the hallucination. Or perhaps a well placed punch? Delilah was a very strong woman and the thaumaturgical spell cast before the hallucination made it truthfully so.

As for the other men? Both were rushing Valentina as she handled both of them. Even with a wound Delilah could see Valentina wasn't about to get gutted by a quick undisciplined rush. Was she playing? In her counterstrike she exacted glancing blows but nothing that would finish off the fight.

Lips thinned at the frankly disgusting opponents that had come to face them. Delilah was full of reasons to be displeased by the current circumstances. It was irksome that these Navy dogs had thought to pay a visit, noisome and disruptive as they were, as much a nuisance as ever. And of course, they were more literally disgusting at the moment, which Delilah found particularly disagreeable.

But most importantly, they had interrupted the 'duel' she had been having with Valentina. The greatest sin of all, one which would not be forgiven. The timing was terrible, and Delilah was quite irritated for it.

"Ah, you wish I was a whore, that's the only way you can get some, isn't it?" Delilah flashed a toothy, malicious grin, almost a grimacing snarl from the look of it. "All the coin in the world won't spare Ioannes' judgement of your pathetic little pecker, though, will it?"

There were a few more creative barbs in there, something about how she'd probably get along with Ioannes considering how he seemed to be happy to ditch his woman for the next piece of ass in his vicinity - that's right, Delilah was educated enough to know about the Diana/Carmelya debacle - but it seemed that the navy man was in a rush to get his ass handed to him. Never let it be said that Delilah the Merciless wasn't one to oblige such a request.

Now, what was a pistol good for? Shooting people, of course. But the interesting thing was that, of course, it was a decently blunt object as well. It wasn't the same as with a bow. Perhaps a crossbow might be decent, in a pinch. But a pistol could be used to whip a man quite decently. Arguably, that might rather damage the delicate mechanisms used when it came to firing the weapon - but a good pirates always knew where to get more of them, and what was most important?

Winning. Victory was the most important. And getting smacked by the butt of a pistol was perhaps something the navy man wouldn't expect.

When playing with Valentina there was a mutual understanding - a reciprocation of teasing, dancing around, fencing and foreplay. But that was a side of Delilah reserved for the bedroom. This was a battlefield now, where Delilah the Merciless reigned.

Honestly, she'd keep it simple. She had no reason to believe that this navy man was anything special. Delilah would rely on her own confidence - confidence in her speed, and confidence in her strength.

She'd smash the man's head in with what she had in hand, completely ignoring his axe and sword in favor of rushing in fast, getting in close, and beating him bloody. And with her free hand? She'd also see about getting any punches in that she could, aimed for places like the gut, to distract or inhibit his ability to fight back. Honestly, though, the strategy was simple.

Hit him until he died.

Splat. A puss bubble popped, impossible large, from one of the downed navy officers releasing a noxious smell and puss enough to please the Mother of disease. It did not appear to phase Valentina and Delilah was committed to her ferocious action though in any moment she had to take her next action that smell of puss and sweet sweaty disease would fill her nose with all its might.

Delilah ducked and weaved past the axe but soon found that just because she was quick did not mean she was invulnerable. The Navy man, was quite ordinary by way of dress and appearance. Whether that was by her mind's design or reality was a superfluous detail. What mattered was the sword, ordinary or magical, could and would still gut a hasty pirate easily enough.

If it weren't for her speed the sword would have run her through with all the force of its thrust plus her forward motion but her speed allowed her some measure of defense in that the sword had not been placed in time for that perfect strike.

The dull and ordinary blade, by at least Delilah's measure, glanced keenly against her side, cutting into the flesh. A wound she felt ever more keenly under the influence of a hallucinogen that made everything more vivid - even the exquisite taste of pain.

That said she landed a powerful blow against the cheek of the navy man who was forced back by the blow. It was then that the seasoned fighter in this so called officer showed itself. He had taken the blow, powerful as it was, but had not dropped his guard even as he spit the blood that had begun to quickly pull in his Mouth. He bore a feverish grin of a man keen for the fight even as blood marred his teeth. Perhaps another God other than Aslan would have served as a better patron? Or perhaps Aslan was perfect for this fanatic to maintain his own pretense of honour? Aslan may disagree.

The pistol presented a dangerous blunt weapon in Delilah's hand and now she was too close for either axe or sword to be fully effective.

So what did the seasoned fighter do against his smaller opponent? Pushed forward against the naked body of the pirates, more focussed on causing the deathblow than the improperness of the actions he brought his axe arm to bear with blade in turned to deny Delilah a chance to step backwards or sidewards without feeling the blade cut into her back while preparing the sword for another thrust in the hopefully unprepared gut.

He also seemed to be unphased by the puss now covering Delilah. He, too, had puss sliding down his face mixing with his blood dripping down his chin. It seemed everyone was comfortable with disease!

Meanwhile Valentina danced, danced around her opponents, slowed down by mere fractions from her wound. The hallucinogen worked to make the dance far more impressive, as her glimmered untouched by the disease around her, as the radiant lover of Delilah clashed with swords and cut again into the sailors of disease. Each cut opened a new putrid wound and yet with every splatter she wriggled and dodged the puss as competently as any belly dancer..

How the sailors were not mesmerised was anyone"s guess

It felt like the illusion was breaking up a little bit. There were so many abnormalities piling up that not even Delilah could quite reconcile. Say what you wanted about the Navy, they weren't usually literal sacks of pus like this. And surely their patron would have been Markalin, as opposed to Aslan?

There was a valiant attempt to rescue the narrative nonetheless. Perhaps these were simply rival pirates attempting to disguise themselves as members of the navy, in order to avoid the wrath of Delilah and Valentina if they failed? Who knew. Perhaps that wasn't important. They were enemies, and therefore they needed to die. That much was simple enough.

Didn't Delilah have her trinket? It should have warded off any damage. Whatever the case, she had moved into the commodore's space in order to fight, and she hardly intended on backing out now. What reason did shave have to step backward or sideways? No, she had the momentum, and she'd simply continue onward in order to seize the advantage.

It was time to live up to the nickname of "the Merciless." So far her opponent had managed to hold up decently well despite being bashed in the head. How about a knee to the groin? She'd go for the eyes, too, see about gouging them out. Anything that Delilah could do to viciously inflict damage, she'd go for.

Maybe a navy man fought fair. Certainly not a pirate. She was in it to win.

Valentina continued her dance as one of her dancing partners fell, wary from dozens of nicks. It appeared that she had a preference to bring an opponent down by scoring hits over looking for the fatal blow. It appeared to be working. None of this did anything for Delilah's current predicament.

Well the wound certainly felt real. What could cause the charm to fail? Enchanted blades? A fighter of such skill that they can accomplish the impossible? There were many possibilities but aside from enhanced pain from a wound that felt stronger than usual Delilah was not going to be felled by a shaving nick.

The implication of potential of these crew being pirates gave Delilah an opportunity to spot an out of place tattoo on the arms of one of the Mariners on the ground. A faded skull and Crossbones marred by the disease that had spread across his skin. Perhaps the disease was not so bad? Delilah's disgust may have caused her one mind to over emphasise what she saw. They were disease ridden but the imaginings, hallucinogenically fuelled, appeared to have been an exaggeration.

The mind of Sliucha was also still bubbling and aware and now to an extent was beginning to resurface as its own self again. A split between the Delilah persona on the surface and a drug hazed mind underneath awakening to make sense of what she saw in relation to her own state of mind. There now afforded a time to be analytical in the face of danger!

Still the more immediate threat of a man attempting a bear hug with an axe to the back needed addressing.

Delilah lived up to her name. Despite her trinket she found that moving the ways in which she did necessitated feeling the bite of the ade behind her. It hasn't been swing so it just cut into the flesh like many who had cleaned sharp knives in a kitchen had felt before her. Painful but hardly life threatening.

The knee to the groin had the most immediate affect seeing the grip on the hug weaken in the moment and drawing him down enough to be exposed for the eye gouge! It was less effective than hoped as he had involuntarily closed his eyes and turns his face. Delilah managed a very impressive looking scratch across his face. The type that would be felt for days to come!

The Aslan enthusiast released and kicked Delilah back. The kick lacked force and was more of a thrust. Strong as Delilah was her weight still saw her flung onto the bed. If she had thought to get up the fanatic man prepared to assault her. It seems there would be another round on the bed but this time by an overbearing and under imaginative fanatic.

"To be gutted on a bed " the man growled "How fitting for a common whore"

The man appeared to be taking Delilah more seriously now. She had shown great strength and a few nasty surprises. Sliucha might even be able to figure out how to bring more nasty surprises to bear by bending the rules of the scene to bring more of her talents to bear. Perhaps as a voice in Delilah's head or by attempting to explain her abilities through a pirate focus? Options were available.

The man nearly atop of Delilah was apparently saying something underneath his breath? Incantation or prayer? What was with the way he was handling the sword? It was as if he expected something to happen to it. As for the axe, even as he made his incantation he split his focus to swing the axe down upon Delilah.

It seemed something was up..
