A Foul Wind Blows...

Season of Winter, Era XV P.F.

IC: War raged in the south. Armies from across the empire answered the call to service to stop the horde of Orkon. But thus far, it was nothing more than a stale mate. Nothing had changed, and in fact, turmoil in the Sherian wilderness was becoming routine. But little did the forces at play know, that something from the north was about to stoke the fires of Chaos once more.

Amidst the wild, nightfall had set upon the lands as a small shadow began to grow high in the air. Like a dark cloud, the small vortex began to grow. It twisted and churned as it grew; picking up momentum every moment. Then finally, a winged beast shot from the darkness. Out of nothingness and into existence the creature had came. Like death, the being surged across the night sky, but this was not a single demon.

Instead, there was three. Blackwind, the midnight hued pegasus, stretched its mighty wings as it slowed the trio down. At the helm of the winged-horse was the Wolf of Jorel himself. A swordsman of few rivals, and a human who reaped death and sowed fear everywhere he went. The blonde headed, Jorelite peered upon the war ridden landscapes below with eyes of emerald from a furrowed brow. And clasped tightly about his torso was a pair of timeless elven hands that gave away into a pair slender arms. The third being from the gate of shadow was none other that its creator: Havina, the Wolf's Thorn, and the Oracle of Jorel.

It was with the Master Necromancer's prowess, the Dark Knight was now capable of traversing great distances within the blink of an eye. No longer could his enemies run to the corners of the empire, nor could they hide in their fortresses. Fidelis had an all access pass to anywhere he needed to go...

... And right now he needed to be in Sheria. The political and religious climate was just right for unstable season at the least. As the rider piloted his pegasus over the lands just a cycle or so south of the temple, he reflected on the words of Jorel. He told the man to prepare for the coming of the Dark Lord's empire, and the war could prove to be ripe with opportunities.

Finding a well secluded area, the warrior set Blackwind's hooves back upon Telath as the pair dismounted. Jumping from the saddle, Fidelis helped his thorn from the mount. "We'll set camp here..."

~~~~~~~~
Several candlemarks later...
Amidst a small clearing, the camp had been made. It was nothing more than a medium sized tent, and a small fire pit, but for the evenings duration there would be no fire. To the left side, Blackwind feasted on the feed that the human had set out for him, and just hidden outside of few, Havina had summoned twenty of the temple's Iskirra to protect them.
Taking control over the lesser Etos, Fidelis moved them into position mentally. Encircling the camp they waited in their stone form; at first site of anyone, they would return to their unliving forms to before the bidding of their master.
With only the light of the moon, the pair sat and spoke softly in the sub-tropic winter of Sheria.
"We'll move against all forces present here... The imperials, the church, the orcs... It doesn't matter. We'll work from behind the scenes, no force will ever know of our direct involvement..." The warrior stated what they already both knew as Havina studied his body language with an admirable stare.
It was only a few months ago that the warrior was a broken shell, fueled by hate, sorrow, and unrest. But now he had been forged in the hottest fires of hell, and Aeternia had finally received a warrior destined to purge his enemies from telath. And in the ashes of the old, a new empire would rise: One free of the stupidity of the Aetherian's and their control.
"Before the brightening comes, we will survey all the forces present, and for each we'll leave a surprise..." The warrior emitted a fiendish smirk as he looked to the Oracle, hinting to her prowess with necromancy and his undaunted abilities with a blade.
OOC: This is basically my introduction into the war. You can count on me making visits to several threads, and Fid will be doing things to directly oppose EVERYONE here, PC and NPC alike.
