The March of the Manjet
6th Brightening of the First Cycle of the Month of Kalendryas in the season of Winter; Era I of the Celestine Mandate, Era XV Post Fractum.
Word had come that Peda had been attacked. Not attacked, ruined, destroyed or worse. The survivors that had arrived in Taralon brought tales of dread with them and Eyvind couldn't stay still and do nothing. Darkblade had been awaken by his roar and his call to arms. All leaves had been cancelled, all Legionnaires had to present themselves to service and be ready to depart at dawn. And dawn had come and the Manjet was ready. Rows upon rows of Imperial Legionnaires, horses and wagons took the road west. Leading their march was the Acting Provost of the Legion, mounting his black Carmelyn Warsteed and wearing his finest armor and weapons. It was time to spilt some Orcish blood. As he rode he remembered the speech he had done the troops previous to their departure:
"Men! Companions! Legionnaires! As you have heard, War is at our very doorstep. The coward and fealthy Greenskins attack the city of Peda and who knows what other cities of Man in Sheria. They enslaved or killed all they found in their way. I say: ENOUGH!!! Enough of this barbarism! Enough of sitting idle watching these pawns of Aeternia run freely in the lands of the Empire! It is time to act! Not to react! That is why we march now, we march west, we march to WAR!!!"
Now, in the middle of all the sound of marching feet and hooves he could still hear the roar of the Manjet in answer to his speech. They were prepared to make the Orcs pay for their sins and they wouldn't fail.
In the front of the Legion rode the five hundred cavalry Legionnaires, they would advance ahead of the army to arrive as soon as possible in the proximities of the Orcish forces. There they would engage and wait for the rest of the Legion to arrive. As the candlemarks passed the Legion advanced further into Sheria, they marching directly to Auster and from there they would move to Hiems and from there to Peda.
Orders had been given so that the Candanceburg's Harvesters would take the place of the Manjet in the Training Fields, with the help of detachments of the Blades of Carmelya.

Behind the Manjet followed two Cohortii of Heavy Infantry, but these was no common Heavy Infantry. Forming it were the expert Siege Engineers of the 9th Legion and with them they brought the finest siege engines the world of Telath had ever seen. Catapult after catapult lined in the road numbering a total one a hundred! Behind followed twenty repeating ballistae, dangerous weapons that would cry havoc in the ranks of the Horde with their numerous piercing shoots that could impale three men at once. And to finish, at the tail of the army, with only a detachment of guard behind follow the mighty trebuchet. These engines were designed to throw projectiles of great weight at great distances, being able to both make stones or explosive barrels fall upon the head of the Legion's enemies or simply shoot directly into the front rows.
These were the weapons the Manjet would use against whatever fortification the Orcs could build or they would simply be employed against the green tide from afar.

Before going out to the field, Tarfuss checked his gear. His weapons were in order as were his personal supplies. He then checked the gear of the men assigned to him. He found their gear to be in order as well. He nodded in satisfaction after he checked them. "Good enough. Time to join the March."
They made their way out and joined the rest of the Manjet. It was an astounding display of strength, that gathered force. As yet, however, it was an untempered blade. He wondered what that blade might look like after a bout in the furnace of war.

Isil prepared his things, checking his equipment and supplies. He equipped his horse and strapped it to one of the cargo carts that would join the army’s march. Then he went to his unit and moved on.

The Silvered Blades formed the rear of the March. This battered Legion had recovered from some of the wounds of the previous war and while still not at full strength was more than capable of fighting the Horde. The ranks of both Legions filled the road and stretched to the horizon. From time to time a rider would pass by the infantrymen to deliver news to the Officers in the front. Standards, banners and flags danced with the wind and the sound of trompets and drums echoed in the natural silence of Sheria.
For the pleasure of all the 10th had brought some killing machines of their own. Repeating ballistae with a variety of ammunitions numbered thirty and the sappers of the Legion already made plans to prepare some traps of their own to the Greenskins.
The Imperial Legions were on the move and Telath trembled before their might. Poor of the Orc that stepped in their way for he would be given no quarter.

Tarfuss settled his men into the marching order, and once there gave them another looking over. He didn't want to find that he, or anyone under his command, had forgotten anything. When he was done he... waited. This was what the military was known for: Hurry up and wait. He looked at the other masses of soldiers and saw other Spear Deakins checking their men and barking orders to Shield Deakins, while in turn Sword Deakins barked orders at the Spear Deakins and on and on. He was ready to go. His men were ready to go. The suns crept higher into the sky and he sighed. Waiting never got any easier.

In command at the rear, Imperatis Cassandra Saddon followed with the detachment of mages. Commanding the mages were two Master mages. One was an experienced battle mage, Provost Moham Renau, Master of Sorcery. The other was Provost Semon Banks, the halfling Thaumaturgy Master. The mages detachment following the two Masters consisted of five Sorcery Adepts and five Elementalism Adepts. Together the the mages followed the soldiers, preparing themselves for battle.

OOC:Sorry for the delay. Ok I'm confused as to what exactly is going on, there's so much happening at once, so I'm just gonna post my march in this thread. Let me know if I'm doing anything wrong
IC: "We go forward!" The large black beast said from the saddle of his mare as he raised a dwarven steel fist in the air. Aegis gazed onto the vast columns of his regiment and started the march to Manjet's Hill to join up with Eyvind's regiment who was not much further ahead of his. "Stay prepared for enemies!" His common was still not honed, but he got the point across and made sure his regiment understood what he was saying.
Aegis rode at the head of The Wild Flames of Sheria with his high ranking officers. He scouted the fields as they rode, inspecting the high points, the low points and every nook and cranny he could find that could prove useful should they have to retreat back this way. The minotaur thought in tactics, rather than rushing out and slaying the enemy, as much as he wanted to do so. His goal was to win this war with the fewest casualties possible, but he wanted to be in the front lines with his men getting his hands dirty, too.
