47th Brightening of the Fifth Cycle of the Month of Imperos in the season of Autumn; Era II of the Celestine Mandate, Era XIV Post Fractum.
Cencoris Eyvind had ordered a group of men to move into dangerous territory with the following orders:
Go to Draelmar Hold, scout the region that stretches through the Hills to the ruined city of Daittern to unfold any possible Horde activity and any defensive structure, without being noticed.
Go to the village of Auster to find out if it is prepared to receive the Engineer Corps so they can start building a line of defensive fortifications.
Promoted to Senior Legionnaire of the Ninth Imperial Legion of the Empire, Isil Telperion, the seven feet tall heavy archer elf, was assigned to lead this group of men.
It had been some time since he was in the forest and it felt good. They left one day after arriving to that territory and, for the time being, were in safe grounds. They were singing and talking in what seemed a tourist excursion, as if nothing was wrong in the world.
They decided to try and hunt something to eat and thus sparing some of their rations. They used their bows and arrows to catch a few small preys that would sustain their bodies for some time. After cooking and eating their meal they kept walking.
After some time, Isil ordered the men to quiet down. It was strange for him to give orders to his companions, but the men obeyed instantly. They were moving for some time now and had to be careful.
From this moment on, danger could lurk from any place and they had to remain invisible if they were to complete their mission.
