Lynessa found a nice wall to lean against whilst all this commotion was going on, she had no real emotional attachment to Lyr, like what it used to be, so she didn't really feel too possessive of Lyr. Especially if he got yet another woman pregnant, how many siblings did Rose have over the Empire? She kept her silence when she could, laughing at the funnier moments, especially when Kenkuroi was fighting with Ality, his remark about Lynessa being from a whorehouse however did get her attention and she turned to glare angrily at the pink robed man. How dare he assume such a thing, though that didn't say much for Lyr, obviously Lyr was still a womanizer, though a gay womanizer didn't exactly sound right.
She watched Ality fall into a still stunned Lyr's lap, begging for a place to stay. Lynessa wasn't entirely sure that Ality really was pregnant, but who was she to argue with something she knew nothing about? Lynessa wasn't sure if she had missed her cue to find her clothes that had been scattered on the floor of Lyr's bedroom and make an exit, it seemed that way as she leaned her head against the wall, smoothing her hair a bit with her right hand since it was still a bit messy from earlier.
Ality's seemingly innocent questions didn't fool Lyn, she had seen the mischievous look in her eyes and could tell that she was just trying to make Lyr even more uncomfortable, if that was even possible. When Ality moved, Lyn could see that Lyr was both confused out of his mind and...aroused? Ok then, obviously Lyr's mind really was in his groin, that was the only explanation.
He looked up at Lyn and Lyn looked back, her voice void of what she was thinking, no way he was getting any of her help in this. She could have easily answered Ality and told her that she was not the mother of Rose, but Lyr could answer that now. It was odd for Lyn to keep so quiet, but really, whatever she added would most likely detract from the hilarity of Lyr's agony.
Lynessa couldn't keep a smile from her face when Ality asked about what a foursome was. It was hilarious to watch Lyr squirm as he tried to come up with some sort of answer to this question. When he finally came up with an answer, Lynessa couldn't help but start giggling, she hid her face against the wall to try and muffle the giggles, but it was hard. A fethin card game?! "Really, a card game? Wow, my knowledge of it has been wrong. I'm curious Lyr," she purred as she turned to look at him and Ality. "How do you play this card game?"
Lyr was short with his introductions, Lyn was just a girl he knew in Trysvale despite the fact that she was wearing his shirt and had the look of a woman that had a very good night. Ality was a fellow student that he had a class with that he had apparently gotten pregnant at some point in time and Ken was a gay nanny that was wearing his bathrobe....and Lyn thought her life was messed up.
Lyn turned as Kenkuroi was addressed, asked to make breakfast for the growing house. The pink elf surely wouldn't do as he was asked without a bit of a fight and Lyn actually hoped he did, it would be entertaining. "So Lyr, should I leave?" She had a gesture and words for the elf if he chose to butt in, doubted Ality would have anything to say against Lyn, there had been no claws drawn by anyone other then the elf. "Looks like you have a good amount of company after all, though I would still like to see Rose."

ooc: Ality's retired, I haven't heard from Kenkuroi in about a month... not entirely sure what to do with this thread anymore. ><
Lyr had been shooting glances in Lynessa's direction for a while know. Having felt the bite of her temper on his own skin, he knew some of the comments that were currently flying about the room couldn't sit right with her. Every second he was expecting her head to go kapoof and the mad Lynessa, the one that was so unreasonable and so - so - downright female, would emerge.
He almost jumped out of his skin when she spoke instead of yelling, casting a snide remark his way instead of powering through him with a volley of choice epithets. Unlike Lynessa's careful control over her face, Lyr was at the moment too undone to look cool or aloof: both his startlement, followed by his relief and then even greater dread, flashed briefly but obviously across his features.
He wasn't sure whether he liked this Lynessa better than the old one. Oh, she was less of a hassle to deal with, that was true enough... but something about her reaction made him jump all the more. Only now did he begin to sense that she'd changed - while he'd stayed, essentially, the same.
"Er... with four people." He replied lamely, and if Kenkuroi didn't realize he was lying, then the half-elf was the biggest ostrich-head on Telath. On the other hand, Lyr hadn't expected Lynessa to know what a four-some was either, though her answer spoke differently.
But when she spoke about leaving, his initial instincts took over. "Nooooo!" He fairly mooed, letting go of Ality in order to wave his hands in a negative gesture. "I'm sure Ality and I can catch up latter... wouldn't have you leave without seeing Rose, of course!"
As Lyr jumped across the room and grabbed Lyn's arm, nearly dragging her over back down the hallway to the furthest room away from his, which had been allotted to the baby, he didn't think of the fact that her threat was necessarily half-empty, since even she couldn't have expected to just walk out the door with nothing but Lyr's shirt on.
As the two left the front room and headed down the hallway, however, Lyr's pace slowed, as he realized that now that the they were in semi-private Lyn would either let fly the anger he'd been waiting for, or at the very least demand an explanation... which Lyr was very disinclined to give.
At least, that's what Lyr figured the old Lynessa would have done. This Lynessa - well, she was not on Lyr's radar... he barely knew she existed, and his reactions were still geared toward what he would have thought the Lynessa of old would have done.

Throughout the whole situation regarding Ality and Ken, Lyn noticed that Lyr kept shooting glances in her direction, as though he was expecting something out of her. Did he expect her to get upset and angry about this, she found it hilarious and really, she didn't feel possessive of Lyr because he wasn't hers. He was good for a darkening in bed and perhaps another brightening, but as far as she saw it, that was it. He had lost his chance to have anything real with her when he acted like an ass in Trysvale.
Her snide remarks regarding the foursome card came surprised Lyr and seemed to deflate him further, which had been exactly what she had been going for, he would see that Lynessa was able to hold her own and didn't fly off into a rage at the slightest upset. She had changed and he would see that before the brightening was through, being that the brightening had really only just begun. What a way to start it off, wake up and have a red haired woman stumble in claiming that she was carrying Lyr's child and was in need of a place to stay and then find out that he had a gay elf nanny staying with him as well. Poor Rose, being raised in such instability and craziness.
She really had been ready to change into her own clothes and leave, she didn't feel like standing around the whole time while he and Ality sat on the ground, she wasn't that patient. It seemed though that the thought of her leaving distressed Lyr, causing him to move Ality from his lap and for him to jump up. She almost laughed at his reaction and really, she was flattered he wished her to still stay, she really did want to see Rose. She nodded, ready to follow but instead she was grabbed and pretty much dragged from both Ken and Ality, figuring they would most likely kill each other when left alone.
She wasn't tempted to protest to being dragged about by her arm, wasn't exactly comfortable and it was a bit annoying, but she let it slide for the time being, not wanting to return to her ranting self and show Lyr that she hadn't changed after all. She nearly tripped once and mentioned for Lyr to slow down, it wasn't like they had to run from the other two. It was disappointing that they had both been interrupted after a pretty good darkening, but such things happened.
Once they were close enough that Lyn wouldn't be heard by Ality or Ken, she pulled her arm from his grip and slowed down as Lyr did. "Smooth move Lyr," she commented as she took a breath. "So, are you really the father or was that a ploy for your attention? Old classmate most likely translate into old flame knowing you." She was uncharacteristically mellow in regards to his love life, perhaps this would show how unattached she was to him now.
She laughed and shook her head, "A card game, that was the best you could come up with?" Even now she found it funny. "So where is Rose?"

Feth, did she really think she would have come up with anything better under such extreme circumstances?! The two had paused before the closed door that led to Rose's room. The baby was now quiet, though how long that would last only Diana knew.
Lyr felt, however, that before Lynessa's attention was dragged to the baby, he needed to seriously vindicate himself of the charges against him. "I don't know who knocked Ality up," he protested therefore in low, hissing tones, shooting a glance behind his shoulder to make sure that the fiery red-head wasn't about to pop out of nowhere and make more trouble for him. Making trouble was something Ality had a knack for - one might have even called it a talent. "And, I swear on Borthanas' bones, I've never done anything of that sort with her."
As far as that went, it was absolutely true. Had Lyr ever wanted to do anything with Ality?.... Well, of course! Lyn had seen the evidence just a few minutes ago. But that had been even before he'd ever met Lynessa. Not that he hadn't had his affairs since then... he had.... but Lyr felt rather confident that the woman of his past dreams didn't know about all them.
"I'd like to see you do better," he grumbled, finally swinging open the door as Lynessa asked about Rose once more. The little bedroom was spare, which made it look neater and cleaner than it would otherwise. There was a crib in the corner and a chest with baby clothes lying on top of it. Rose was in the crib, and as the door swung open her bright green gaze turned, wide-eyed, to see who it was. She was standing, slightly bowlegged, by the side of the crib and holding on to the rail to keep herself upright. She'd grown quite a bit in the months that Lynessa hadn't seen her - no longer the immobile baby, she was almost a toddler now, testing out the powers of her limbs and growing (as the piles of old and small clothes in the chest could testify) almost daily. Her pale hair, matted by sleep, stuck out every which way from her pink-cheeked face.
During the night she'd managed to stuff her blanket through the rails of the crib, and it now lay in a heap on the floor. As Lyn and Lyr entered Rose stared at them hard, locking eyes with Lynessa and chewing slowly on her bottom lip, a bit of drool trembling on her chin.
"Pfa!" The cried after a second, swinging her arm upwards. The motion caught the rest of her off-balance, and she sat down with a smack onto the mattress.
The baby odor in the room - mixed in with the smell of Kenkuroi's cigars - was unmistakeable.

Lynessa waited for Lyr to let her into Rose's room, they had escaped Ality and Kenkuroi and Lyn could have easily lit into the man about what all had gone on that brightening, but really, as far as she could see, he was in enough trouble as it was. Her snippy comments seemed to leave a better impression then her angry retorts might have left, she crossed her arms over her chest and waited for him to let her into the room or speak, either one she was ready for.
As he began to defend himself on whether he was truly the father of Ality's baby or not, Lynessa couldn't help but smile, who knew if he really was or not, he was a manwhore after all. While Ality had said she was pregnant, Lynessa had her doubts, perhaps Ality was just trying to get a place to stay and needed that as a ploy, who knew? It was amusing that he was merely hissing this all out, as though afraid that the red headed woman come along and cause even more trouble. "And, I swear on Borthanas' bones, I've never done anything of that sort with her." How could she believe something like that coming from him? Not having his way with a woman, it didn't seem like Lyr, though she had to take into account that Lyr hadn't gotten that far with her up until now, but that was because she had restraint, not because he did.
Also, she had seen the way he had reacted when she had laid against him, he had wanted her of course. Who was Lynessa to argue that he was lying, maybe, just maybe he was telling her the truth. What did it matter to her anyway, it wasn't like she was possessive of Lyr anymore, he could bed anyone that he wished, though preferably not when she was around.
She laughed as he grumbled at her, of course she could have thought of something better then he had, even in a situation as that. "I doubt I would get myself into such a situation." She commented as she walked into the little nursery. It immediately smelled of baby and cigar, most likely from her male nanny. Lynessa was greeted with silence, little Rose turning her lovely little green eyes towards her and Lyr as they entered. Lynessa was afraid to have children of her own yet she had a soft spot in her heart for Rose, feth she had actually considered helping to raise the infant before things turned sour between her and Lyr.
Seeing her standing was a bit of a shock, had it been that long since she had seen Rose or was Rose advanced for her age? The child was almost a toddler now, her legs getting strong enough to hold her up, though not steady enough to do on her own. She used the railing for balance, locking eyes with Lynessa, as though she might remember the blonde that used to visit her when she was younger.
Her little blanket lay in a heap on the floor near the crib, Lyn bent down to pick it up, already feeling the maternal bond coming back that she had felt with Rose before. After a moment, Rose cried out and swung her arms upwards towards Lynessa, as though asking the blonde to pick her up. But the motion caused her to fall back and land on her bottom. Looking back at Lyr for a moment, she walked over to the crib and laid the blanket inside before gently picking Rose up and placing her on her hip. "Hi Rose," she spoke softly and couldn't help but smile as she looked at the sweet little girl. "You haven't seen me in a while, but I promise, I haven't forgotten you." She even offered Lyr a genuine smile as she held Rose.

Lyr felt an unaccustomed lump rise to his throat. It was easy for him to take Rose for granted when he wasn't in her presence. It was true, he sometimes even forgot about her and went on with his life almost as if she weren't a part of it... until he came home and looked into those big green eyes. They slayed him more forcefully than the eyes of any other woman he'd known.
Rose stared up at Lynessa as the vagaran woman bent over her, mouth slightly open, eyes wide. She wasn't a shy child, since in this household raising one's voice and demanding what was one's due was virtually the only way to get what one wanted. She had grown quite unaccustomed to the presence of women, however, and Lynessa's hair, as well as the peculiar softness of her chest area when Lyn picked her up, mesmerized her into silence. Reaching out a pudgy hand she pulled on Lynessa's hair, tangling up her slightly sticky fingers in the locks and tugging forcefully. "Pfffaah!" she finally said again with a dimpled smile and a show of gums where the barest glimmer of pearly white was already in evidence here and there.
It looked like she hadn't quite forgotten her old friend after all; or if she had, was quite willing to make friends anew.
"Looks like she hasn't forgotten you after all," Lyr took to the first suggestion, stepping up close behind Lynessa so that he could see Rose and Lyn's profile. He wasn't quite sure what else to say; it almost felt like he was intruding on a private moment between the two of them, and though Lyr was not a sensitive fellow, the unusualness of the situation - being as it appeared to require a sensitivity Lyr did not possess - itself made him feel out of place.

If anything would have taken lynessa back to the time where she had been in trysvale, it would be Rose. She could remember the lovely times she spent with the infant, she had helped Lyr with the little girl at times because while Lynessa was afraid of becoming a mother on her own, she felt the little infant had needed a woman around here and there and not the whores that her father invested his time in either. She wondered for a moment if Rose would reject her and cry, Rose had always liked Lynessa before in Trsyvale, but things had changed and so had Lynessa, would the child sense that she was in the arms of a killer?
Rose didn't seem to know what to think, she was quieted once Lynessa picked her up, but she didn't smile and laugh but neither did she cry or try to squirm away from her. For a moment Lynessa thought that she had indeed been forgotten and this saddened the woman, but a little hand wrapped around a lock of her blonde hair pulled her from the sadness. It hurt of course, but she couldn't help but smile at the little dimpled smile that Rose flashed her. Yes, the little one remembered her female friend.
Lynessa hated to admit such a thing, but she was impressed with how Lyr had done as a father. When he had first gotten Rose, Lyn had doubted that he would be much of a father, he wasn't exactly the most responsible man and gods could he be selfish. Who knew how many other women he had gotten pregnant, Ality possibly being another, though Lynessa wasn't sure that Ality had been telling the truth. "You've done well with her Lyr." She remarked softly. Perhaps that would take away the words she had uttered before she had left him back in Trysvale about Lyr being a bad parent. It had been a hit below the belt and she had known it.
Lyr spoke as he moved closer, she felt as she once had, uncertain of what Lyr was to her, even if she had enjoyed a darkening with him. She turned to look at Lyr, a warm smile touching her lips that had come from the feeling Rose had given her. "I'm not easily forgotten I guess." She teased as she turned back to Rose and touched her nose. "I have missed you, you have grown little one." She looked back at Lyr with another teasing smile. "Let's hope she isn't the only one who has grown up."

oocooc: Sorry for not posting sooner >.< Guess I'll just post up something to kinda wrap up Ken's involvement here and leave you two lovebirds alone heh. ;)
Copulating with the young fellow?!
Now Kenkuroi was irritated to the point that he was ready to stuff Rose's used nappy down the throat of the next person to refer to him as 'gay'. And that would be Ality, who just made that sassy remark.
"FETH YOU!" Ken roared at Lyr. "She's leaving! Your card game just had to make do with a threesome!" The half elf countered before pausing, as if realizing he just made a mistake in his statement.
"No, make that a twosome. You and that other woman. I'm not in the mood to play!" he continued, actually being 'ostrich-head' enough to believe it’s meant to be a card game. As expected from a virgin who’s totally clueless of what a bath house actually is.
Before Lyr could stop him, Ken grabbed the red-haired female half elf by the arm and dragged her out of the front door, slamming it shut in the process and leaving the vagaran and his lady friend alone.....
Moments later
Ken returned, having finally solved things up. Whatever happened wasn’t roleplayed out but nevertheless some things are best left unsaid though noticably, Rose's smelly nappy was nowhere in sight.
He entered Rose's room, which so happens to be partially his room also, seeing as Rose isn't old enough to be left alone and have her own private room just yet, but stopped short as soon as he realized Lyr was in there with Lynessa, who was holding Rose in her arms. For a moment he stood by the door entrance, still fiercely gazing at Lyn, then at Lyr, then at Rose, who seemed to be doing fine within the woman's clutches. Shrugging his shoulders, and without a word he left them, heading back towards the kitchen. Now what had Lyr requested? Breakfast?
Laugh out loud.
Sif they hadn't stayed together long enough to know how 'leet' their cooking skills were. Lyr must have requested that out of sheer desperation.
And so breakfast was served. Should Lyr and Lyn head to the kitchen there would be Rose's bottle of milk on the table; warm and taste exactly like how milk is supposed to taste like, two bowls of soup, which is actually just two bowls of boiled water with added salt with a boiled, unpeeled shrimp stuffed into each and some black stuff on a plate, which could be described as toast if it hadn't been shoved into the fire and burnt black. And a bottle of beer.
Ken meanwhile had retired to a corner of the house, a small balcony overlooking the bay, idly smoking his cigarettes. Beside him was a makeshift ashtray made of half a coconut shell but now overflowing with tobacco ash and two empty bottles of alcohol. And before the sun reaches its peak, there will be three.

First cycle of Spring, Era XV Post Fractum
The letter was really nothing more than an oddly-cut piece of parchment folded over and over again into a tight square. On top was the address, written out in a vaguely wandering hand: it was addressed quite simply, to Kenkuroi, Number 57, Secyclion. 57 what... but, at least, the letter had arrived!
I am in Port Alyxandrya. Come as soon as you can with Rose. And lock the windows!

There was no return address. But one could assume that it would be somewhere in Port A.
