Man or Demon? The most common question one asks after one have witnessed the famed Magician of Secyclion, one of the most versatile and hailed in his line of trade. With a small theater built in Arthro Galanos just five Eras ago, the humble, twenty men capacity stage have since evolved into a large, two hundred seater whose seats are so highly prized that many have built an industry around the system by purchasing the tickets and then selling them at a much higher prize to earn a sizable profit.
A cryptic man who calls himself the Magician, within a House of Mysteries. Perfect ingredients for the curious. Within the colorful theater whose seats are carefully dyed velvet, the marbled columns that are the characteristics of Eunesian architect looms from the sides of the wall, Ionian tops slowly arching into a dome that converges at the top, forming the roof, created out of the finest Eunesian marble that glowers just at the very slightest kiss of light; and then turning into a more lurid glow as the light source brightens.
Made utterly out of glass to allow the dazzling star-filled night sky to fall onto the audience, the mezzanine level, which seats a grand total of twenty, are often completely occupied, much less the four box seats which seats four in each. These seats carter to the wealthy, or perhaps those hoping to be able to decipher the Magician's tricks by sitting at a position with a vantage point, so that one could perhaps glimpse through the apparatus as well as
By the twenty sixth Candlemark, after all the ticket bearers are ushered to their seats, the show would begin. The Magician promises all that none of his tricks are ever being repeated, and no debutante card tricks are performed. Only the truly inspiring and mind blowing acts are being staged within the theater; and since it's founding some five Eras ago, there has never been a single complain with regards to the validity of that claim. In fact the only complaint is that the tickets simply unattainable.
From the 'Disappearing Man' to the 'Identity Switch', to the 'Fireman' which caused an Island-wide sensation, arcana users have been reported to have laid their eyes upon the man and unable to discover the man's secrets, except that no arcana is being involved. Mystics are not allowed into the theater for the reason of confidentiality, and so the secret of the Magician remains one of the deepest secret of Secyclion.
Of course, despite all the incredible feats, there are another group of people who sought not to uncover the Magician's secrets, but the identity of the man; for the Magician dons on a mask that covers his face, and does not speak, not to introduce his shows or performance, nor greet his audience, instead leaving them to his gorgeous female apprentice, who does all the talking for him.
Many say that it is simply a tactic to enhance his already mythic stature; though others claim that there is much more than meets the eye. Whatever the case, the Magician continues to tempt, tease and attract the numerous audience to his show, if one would only allow him to dazzle their Darkening away.
