Lynessa Fluersdotter is an upstanding Citizen
Fourth Cycle of Imperos, Season of Autumn

Once more, to get to where she wished to go, she had to go by sea. A feeling of irritation melted away as the sight of land came into view, the waters the small ferry had traveled through had been far from safe, pirates loomed over the horizon as did creatures that could have easily destroyed the boat had they wished to do so for the ferry was quite small. The ocean still held power over the young Vagaran, but not as badly as before, she had come to terms with the fact that she would never trust the ocean but she wouldn't let if terrify her for she needed to travel it. Lynessa leaned over the railing of the ferry, looking down at the dark blue water below, recalling the one time she had nearly been claimed by the sea, remembering how a life she had cherished had been taken from her because of the water.

Lynessa recalled her husband Athan mentioning Secyclion, he had been there himself a few times before and had said it was a good place to visit. He would have accompanied her, but he had duties to fulfill and they both couldn't be away from the Governor. It was odd, no matter how much time Lyn spent with the Governor, she still thought of him as a pretentious prick that was irritating and way too blunt. She heard the whispers about how he was an imposter and could see now just why he needed protection. Lynessa missed her husband already, but he promised to join her in Secyclion when he was able to, Lyn never realized how odd being married was, but she liked it.

The harbor in which the small ferry docked in was bustling with activity, merchants and traders, Lyn almost thought she could see some illegal activity going on as well, but that was simply because she knew from experience on what to look for. That business could be looked into later, she had to find an inn to stay at and rest up before exploring Secyclion for a bit. She wanted to look into a few things, some connections she needed on this island for her and her brother's "business" that they helped with.

She walked down the plank towards the entrance to Secyclion, a calm look upon her face as she strode forward, she had no worries that she would be granted entrance, she carried no weapons other then her mind and didn't look like a suspicious person. She smiled at anyone that looked her way, not wishing to look like the unhappy figure, though she glared when a few men made some rude gestures towards her, she was a married woman after all. Lynessa waited her turn to speak with one of the guards, she moved with the grace of a woman that was confidant in herself, she knew she looked good and would use that to her advantage when she needed to.

Lynessa handed her visa over with no qualms, not an ounce of hesitation showed in her body language or facial expression, she was completely at ease. Artemisia's training was really paying off, giving Lynessa the confidence to deal with people she doesn't know, to deal with people in a seductive manner when she wished. She nodded as she was greeted and waited for the questions, and here it was. "Serale, I am Kyria Timaios and I am visiting for pleasure and possibly some business relating to the island." She waited for the visa to be handed back to her, for she doubted there would be any other questions asked and put it back in the pouch at her side. She moved inside and was greeted with a warm greeting and flower garland. She smiled as she took it and went off into the city.

Cerius is an upstanding Citizen
The Month of Junctior, in the Season of Autumn, Era II of the Celestine Mandate, Era XIV Post Fractum.

The note in the elf's hand was torn now, after accompanying its owner through many eras of aimless wandering. He had seen it all - Prime, Gaudeo, Natura, Mystique, Silrosia - everywhere except Diana. The one place where he lacked the will to tread. Opening the note once more, the elf's eyes skimmed over the words as though reading them again would bring some revelation that he had missed in the thousand readings before.

Quote:
To Cerius Duvalle, former Bishop of the Church of the Faith,

The Church recognises your efforts on your behalf, albeit belated. Your presence in Diana is requested in order to help overthrow a personage who has for too long plagued us with her new and troublesome ideas. Please come and speak to me about how you can help the Church be free of this threat.

Andrea Marsala,
Prelate of the Church of the Faith
No, Andrea, Cerius thought to himself. You misjudged me. I will fight no fights and shed no blood in Diana. Still the words plagued the elf. Aerienne's "new ideas" had washed over the Empire like an unstoppable tide, and even now a new Archprelate had been chosen who shared her foolishness. Could Cerius have stopped it? He was a fighting man to rival the Abbott of Krinkinstat, and certainly well respected amongst the priests of Aslan, Orod and Ioannes. He was well respected amongst the Carmelyn Vigiles, state warriors who would not have cared one bit about his excommunication.

The elf allowed himself a wry smile. Therein, he thought, lay the problem. For him to take part, it would have caused a rift in the Vigiles, between those squads he had worked with and commanded, and those that didn't know him. The Churches of Aslan, Orod and Ioannes would undoubtedly have rallied behind the banner of Andrea Marsala, and Cerius' iron fist would have torn the heart out of any resistance. The Church wasn't land or gold to be won by fighting men, though, and Cerius was not about to spill the blood of paladins of the faith, acting in the best interests of the Faith's leader. If Marsala wanted a revolution, he could try one. If he failed to reason with the people, then no amount of swords by his side could make a revolution right.

"Land!"

The deck burst into a flurry of activity as sailors seemed to emerge from nowhere to bring the ship into port. Families and travellers gathered to catch their first glimpse of the island city. Cerius found himself almost intrigued, his elven eyes squinting to make out details of the black speck on the horizon. Soon, the note and all the events that had happened over the eras on the mainland had been forgotten in favour of what he hoped would be a new home.

After what seemed like an eternity, the ship made it to port and slowly, the deck started to empty. Noone seemed to notice the elf in the corner, dressed almost like a mercenary in dusty, torn browns and whites that had long ago turned cream. For his part, Cerius had ignored just about everybody as they passed by him to leave the ship, opening his pale blue eyes only when he and select few of the ship's crew remained on deck. Picking up his meagre belongings, the elf joined the queue leading into Secyclion.

"My name is Cerius Kaladrel Duvalle, and I hope to find myself a place to stay, the elf stated, as he handed his well worn travel documents to the sentry. As the elf spoke, he heard a few of the ship's crew in line behind him gasp. Xander's hand slipped to his Xiphos and he took a step back as a massive white pegasus stallion landed behind Cerius. "No need for that, friend," the elf said firmly. "This is Taelyin, and he'll be frequenting your lovely city quite often while I'm here."

Cerius

The entrance of the Pegasus certainly unsettled those entering and leaving the docks, though the two sentries seemed to regain their composure soon enough, and indeed, seemed unruffled despite Xander initial response in reaching for his blade. Such creatures, were of course, rare, an enigma, spoken in hushed tones to coax the child to bed; and not native to the volcanic Isle. Unfamiliarity was the easiest way to breed distrust, after all.

Quick to interject however, was the more affable Marios, who smiled, albeit nervously at first at the Elf, glancing at the beast behind, while his compatriot directed those behind Cerius in the queue to move forward. Fortunately, the dock had been enlarged and renovated sizable following news of it's imminent reopening to accommodate the space requirements, or there would certainly be a human congestion which would have ended unpleasantly.

"Citizen, please stand aside, while I seek further clarifications."
It was clear that like all lower level subordinates, this one was only as familiar with the protocols from the book, and certainly no booked ever told any sentry how to behave when 'a man with a Pegasus wanted to enter via a Harbor Passing'. Even if he did, the best thing for him to do was to make sure he sought a higher opinion lest he get into trouble for making a judgment error.

The wait wasn't long, and in a swift flurry of moments after passerby opening gawked at Cerius and his winged-mount, a large humanoid figure appeared, his presence instantly stifling any atmosphere or any potential trouble from outbreaking.

"Chairete, Citizen." The Minotaur, soon-to-be introduced as the Harbor Master spoke, his eyes keenly appraisingly the mount, standing a respectful distance away; not out of fear, but out of caution. His horns glittered under the splendid Islandic sunlight.

"I am the Harbor Master, and it is my duty to inform you that the Pegasus would be your responsibility within the realms of Secyclion. If you accept as such, then I welcome you to the Red Island on behalf of Secyclion." A slight grin colored the Harbor Master's face, only it seemed somewhat less friendly coming from a Minotaur of that stature.

"Let him pass." He motioned to the guards, who quickly allowed Cerius to move pass the gantry where he was accosted by the welcoming committee who laid their olive garland on the Elf's neck.

Will Cerius find solace on the Red Island, far away from the Mainland where the politics embroiled and treachery so entrenched in wounds like an infectious disease rot like fungus unseen and uncritical until their build up in poisonous mass?

Only time will tell.

The First Cycle of Immanis
in the Season of Winter

Iseult had not initially planned to swing over to Secyclion. Her trip was meant to a brief one over to Ieffreon to hunt down her brother and give him a bit of Aeternia for the drunken letter she had received a few months earlier. The man had once more fallen into cups, a dangerous dangerous thing that had jarred Iseult into anger, disappointment, and worry. She had determined not to make her siblings a top priority, to simply let them live their lives without her having to come to the scene and rescue them. She'd wanted to finally live her life without having to accommodate them. But she couldn't pass up Liam falling back into his cups. Because it worried her to the point that she wondered what damage he might do to himself as he re-embraced his old habits.

Secyclion had come to mind for a number of reasons: She had liked the island during her last visit and she had thought perhaps she might visit Aigle and discuss with her a matter of busiess--whether or not the woman could actually help her was another matter, but at least she could discuss.

Stepping off the ferry, Iseult showed her Visa and explained that she was there for business before moving inland, accepting the flower garland with an awkwardness and an impatience. And then she was in, striding forward to find a place to bed down for a few darkenings, as well as make her way to go see Aigle.

Rekor is unknown and forgotten
1st of Kalendryas, season of winter

Rekor showed the guards his visa and told them the reason for his visit. They let him through with no fuss. He was starting to look shabby, the wandering was beginning to take its toll.

OOC: Unlike Ragman I don't have the patience for IC gate posts. Ragz is busy as hell at the moment, so I'll do this formality: Welcome to Secyclion, Rekor.

Orbril is an upstanding Citizen
Late Spring Era XV

"Chairete?" Orbril tried the word out on his tongue as he came to the harbour and handed up his visa. The gnome was leading Serale at that point, the giant carniverous hamster was his constant companion and since settling in Trysvale the pair were becoming use to travel by ship. of course such travel was usually within the relative shelter of Libertas bay or on the ferry o Demios and this was the first time that the pair had boarded a ship heading towards Eunesia.

But Orbril was an alchemist and had heard tales of the red islands and its rich geology, he came wanting to see it for himself and perhaps to tae samples upon which he could experiment.

"Chairete." Orbril mangled the word as he replied "I be Orbril, Master Alchemist of Trysvale and this be my mount and companion Serale. She aint no more trouble than a doggy..."
