Beauty and the Dracon (Private; Celethor)
~Timestamp~
It is The Nineteenth candlemark on Dianara Brightening 2 of the First Cycle of Kalendryas.
It is Winter of Era I of the Celestine Mandate
Era X Post Fractum (PF) in the Age of Darkening, the Mageocracy of Julos the Mad
Paradigm: Coronation of Queen Sharinya of the Fae Folk
Important: This is inside the Flounder's Finn Tavern and Inn. This is also the same brightening that Celethor was in the Needle and Thread
It was the ninteenth candlemark on the dot when Karliyna arrived inside the Flounder's Finn Tavern and Inn. Her blonde hair was done up in a loose bun, the edges hanging over the top and giving it an organized, yet eccentric look. She was dressed nicely in a simple dark blue dress which was embordiered around the hem, neck and arms. Flowers of a lighter blue danced upon it as thread in these spots.
Blue eyes scanned the crowd for a moment, looking for Celethor. Quietly, seeing he was not present yet, she strode over to an empty table and delicately took a seat.
The tavern wasn't too full that night, but business had been soaring. O'mally, the head bartender, was thrilled at this of course, and a big grin could be seen under the dwarven beard almost every candlemark of the day. Light, tavern associated music danced in the background, reminding all present of a lively dance and brightening their spirits. Yes, the Flounder's Finn was a wonderful place.
When Celethor entered, a delicate hand waved him over. He was met with a bright smile from Karliyna. Over the background of idle chat, Karliyna spoke,
"Ah, there you are. Come, take a seat! I just absolutely love this tavern.. Don't you?"
She was absolutely thrilled with the entire situation, it seemed. The sheer happiness danced behind her eyes as she looked around the tavern, the lighting reflecting in her eyes and the fires dancing along with them. They would have time to chat for a few seconds before a waitress approached, as the tavern was a bit on the busy side this night. However, the wait wasn't too bad.
"Ser'ale you two," said the human woman that had approached with a notepad and quill in hand, dressed in her waitressing outfit. "What can I be gettin' ya'll this lovely darkenin'?"

Celethor waved back, smiling. The setting was perfect. He was ecstatic about the idea of spending the darkening with Karliyna. He couldn't think of anyone else he would rather spend it with. The uplifting, light music that played further romantasized the scene. Celethor took one look at Karliyna and his heart skipped a beat. Her eyes, dancing with the glow of fire in them. Elegant, beautiful, lively. They entranced Celethor. Her beaming smile sent Celethor's spirits through the roof. It took a bit for him to wrench his view from the lovely young woman to sit down.
"Thank you. And yes, this is most definately one of my favorite taverns in Narim."
Then Celethor noticed the waitress who had approached, ready to take their orders. "Well, what would you recommend tonight?"

Karliyna smiled lightly back at the Dracon, only daunting her attention when the waitress approached. She was silent as she waited for Celethor's question to be answered.
The waitress, however, smiled at them both a toothy little grin and adjusted her serving tray and order pad of parchment to her other hip before answering.
"Well, I do actually have some reccomendations. The Grilled Salmon has always been a favorite of mine. We use charcoal to make sure it's just right, and serve it with clam soup. The fish of course are a main export of Narim, so it's natural that we would have such items. Come to Narim, yeh better like fish, eh?" The waitress paused and looked at them both for a second. Karliyna's eyes were back on the Dracon while she had been talking, and only flashed up when she heard the end of the first reccomendation. At this, the waitress dawned an expression of recognition and nodded before continuing..
"Of course, for two I reccomend the Seafood Feast. It's big enough to be a substansial meal for both of ya'll. Really, the plate is basically a variety of foods. Lobester, prawns, squid or shrimp for those of us who are unfamiliar with the eccentric meat of the sea.. and clams." This was the finishing of the waitress' suggestions, made obvious with the way that she readjusted and pulled her notepad back out.
"There are other things on the menu though, dears. Take a look if you want, I'm in no hurry." She motioned to the menus that were standing in the middle of the table, accompanied by the candle, the salt, and the pepper. It's insides entailed...

The woman's eyes flicked to the menus, one of which she gingerly pulled from it's idle stance. After a few moments of looking it over, Karliyna's eyes returned to Celethor. She was waiting for him to order first, but made a simple comment..
"If you'd like to share the Seafood Feast, dear.. That's fine with me. Either way though, as the menu offers many a selection of fine fish anyhow."
Ah, a true Narimite. She loved her fish.. Aternia, a true Sherianite! No other province had people like the Sherianites.. How they loved their fish.. Or maybe it was just Narim, but the fish from the sea of Diana was not one to be argued with. It had sustained the port city for many a pattern.. It was not a shock that the city's people in turn had come to love the taste itself.

"That sounds splendid, m'lady." Celethor turned to the waitress, hesitating to unlock eye contact with the beautiful woman. "We'll have the Seafood Feast, if you don't mind, please."
Then Celethor turned back to Karliyna, eager to start conversation.
"Have you enjoyed your day, Karliyna?"
OoC: Sorry for the short post.

OoC: Goodness gracious great balls o' fire, I am so dreadfully sorry. I totally forgot I was doing this. >.<
The waitress nodded and scribbled the order down, then gave a small smile to the both of them. Drinks, what about drinks? Waitressing was so repetative sometimes.
"One more thing and I'll leave you two be.. What about Drinks, darlin'?" She sheepishly butted back in, hoping she wasn't causing too much of a nuisance to the two who were obviously here in the Flounder's Finn on a casual.. type of outing. Perhaps a date, perhaps just a meal out with friends. Could never tell with these young'ns anymore, it seemed.
Karliyna smiled politely at the waitress and replied with the same sweet voice she used most every waking moment, it seemed..
"Just two glasses of White Nuryondi, Ma'am."
With a nod, the waitress disappeared, leaving Karliyna free to answer the Dracon. A genuine smile creased her lips as she looked to him, her eyes alit with the sheer splendid time she was already having this night.
"I have, actually. One would think tailoring and selling clothes would get boring after awhile.. But all the people you meet, all the things to sew and create. I like to view it as an art, really. The beauty of stitchwork." With a small giggle, Karliyna found it her turn to implore a question..
"And just what is it exactly you do for a living, Celethor? Someone so strong and... roguish.. must lead a very interesting life."
She had searched for the word, there was no doubt. What exactly did one call a Dracon? It wasn't everyday Karliyna was around such.. well, such people of such races. Just wasn't customed to talking to them. What was accepted, what wasn't, that sort of thing. The gal hoped Celethor wasn't going to take offense to her pause and search for another descriptive word. Oh dear, what a way to start if he did... Good one, Karliyna, just brilliant.
With dejected thoughts about how the Dracon was going to take it, Karliyna snapped out of her half lost look and gave him another warm smile.

OoC: Sorry! I too forgot about this!
IC: Celethor beamed. He couldn't think of anywhere he'd rather be at the moment. He'd been involved with women before, but none so intriguing as Karliyna. He couldn't help but feel a rush of emotion every time she smiled at him. He was in heaven when she did. He felt honored to be in her presence, and wondered why such a lovely lady would have any sort of interest in him. He was a dracon after all! He didn't know why she was being so friendly, but he wasn't going to complain. Rarely had he recieved such attention as this, and he wasn't going to spoil it with his racial ponderings. So the dracon wasn't a bit surprised when Karliyna searched around for the correct word to describe him.
"Well, right now I'm enrolled in the military. I'm merely a recruit at the moment, but hope to get a promotion any day now. Basic Training has been quite rigorous, and I'm more than ready to be done with it!" Celethor gave a hearty dracon laugh. "But even though I've only been in the military for a little while, I've had some quite exciting experiences, one you might have heard of."
Celethor thought about his experience with Blackie. It had been very strange, indeed. He had been victim to the attack of a massive giant, and had emerged victorious, though he hadn't walked away without his scars.
"Have you heard of the recent attack from Blackie the Mousai?" asked Celethor. "It wasn't too long ago, and I would expect that Narim is still recovering from the building loss. With the invasion of the orcs from Ire, too, I would think that they might not have gotten to rebuild that section of the city."
