Tomar's Shipyard

On the northern intersection of the Narimite River and the Sea of Diana sits Tomar’s shipyard. One of the largest plots of land in the Narimite Valley, it consists of grand docks that reach into the sea, a great building where shipments – both exports and imports – are managed, and of course Master Tomar’s own residence, a large mansion that looks outward onto the stormy waters.

Ships of all sizes can be found moored at Tomar’s, but no matter how many are docked, there always seems to be room for more. The property is alive with sailors for all of the brightening, but at night, most head into the city for the notorious Mariner’s Box.

The trade building, located in the northeast corner of the shipyard (making it the most inland structure) is the place to go for Narim’s many merchants. Here, they can arrange to have materials from overseas shipped to Narim in the near future, by making a deal with Tomar. The building is also a large warehouse, where imports are stored and exports await shipment.

The mansion sits a little deeper into the property, actually fenced off from the rest. On the shores of the vast mouth of the Narimite River, it has a view of the sea that is unimpeded by the great galleons of the shipyard. The whole house, the biggest in Narim, has four stories and at least one-hundred-and-twenty rooms. A grand garden, one of the greatest privately owned gardens in the entirety of the Allerian Empire, sits just north of the house like a botanist’s dream. It stands as a stark testament to the wealth of the richest man in the Confederation of the Sherian.

Perkar looked around at the mansion from a distance. It definately seemed that the owner was very sound financially.

"Who's house is that?" Perkar asks Fastdraw as he points to the extravagant mansion. "It definately seems that they have some wealth to spread around."

"That one up there, well that's old Tomars! He has more incomes than you'd believe, and when my leather shop comes around, that'll be another. It's well worth it though, I wouldn't have a way of getting leather if it weren't for Tomar, he's a great friend."

This was by far the most magnificent area of the city Waylander had seen yet, the mansion was far higher than he had ever dreamed and he could just catch a glims of a magnificent garden hidden behind a wall of hedges. Wondering if the shipyard was still hiring he stepped Toward what appeared to be a guard standing to attention beside a gate into the magnificent garden.
"Sarel good sir I read the notice and I was wondering if you were still hiring? Though I may not have a great quantaty of experience I can learn anything after seeing it. Would it be possible to see someone about the position?" Waylander steps back awaiting the guard reply dearly hoping that he could get in.

Waylander was anoyyed the guard had yet to reply and he was still waiting just infront of him "um. hello are you in there?" so saying Waylander began to poke the guard in hopes of rousing him from his apparent comma. Soon he began to rithmically tap on the guards temples hoping that he would re emerge

Waylander paced up and down before the high street entrance, the suns were already starting their downward spiral towards evening, and the sound of the usual hussle and bussle emerged from up the street. 'Stuped... Toobad, too bad he's Toobad grrr' Waylander muttered under his breath, finaly taking the inicietive Waylander walked down the street, passed the cursed Mariners box, and on down to the warfs. Looking around the docks Waylander soon spotted what he was looking for; the shipyard, quite changed from his previous visit, not that the manor looked any less grand, but the whole picture seemed kind of old and delapidated, maybe from long term abandonment?

Again stridding up to the gate Waylander once again addressed the guard "Serale sir, I'm wondering if they're are any post at ship maintence?" Waylander asked, scratching idaly at a itch behind his left ear.

OOC: Actually, the shipyard is very, very busy and well kept, if a little wet and sandy.

The mercenary, hired by Master Tomar along with the rest of his guild to guard his shipyard, stared at the man who approached. Just another man, one that he was hired to stop before he entered Tomar's extensive property. But today, he didn't really care, and he just pointed over to the tradehouse, saying, "Go in there, all right? Just, let me have some rest..."

He leaned back, slowly falling to a sitting position, and then he burped loudly. No more parties at the Box, he mentally noted.

OOC: I was refering to the fact that the thread had gone unnoticed for so long

besides without a written description in the start it's very hard to describe the inside without a little bit of bunnying, sry bout that, but I don't want to say "and Waylander walked into the... and found himself in the trading house"

IC:Taking the guards advice Waylander hurried off, not wanting to disturb this menicing looking mercinary. Making his way across the grounds Waylander soon found himself standing before the masive trade house doors; 'must be for all the goods' Waylander thought looking up at the height of the doors. Walking up to one of the smaller doors embeded into the larger Waylander pushed it open and entered.

OOC: So sorry for such a long wait! PM if I don't reply in a week.

IC: The inside of the trade building had a sailor theme to it. There was no paint or such, just hardwood floors and walls. Puddles of water were everywhere, likely the dragged in by the heavy set sailors that were everywhere outside. Fish nets and fish on plaques were hung up on the walls everywhere to be seen. At the far end of the building, behind a small group of local merchants, was a counter where three attendants were helping the traders out.

OOC: N/P I waited FOREVER the last time I came

IC: Looking around at the decore; wood, wood, and more wood! that was all there was, except for the rather large puddles of water doting the floor. Walking slightly bow legged across the floor Waylander ignored the puddles, the water was inconsiquential as it bounced of his cloak. Coming to rest behind a trio of merchants Waylander waited.

As soon as the merchants moved on Waylander streppedup to the counter. "Serale, Sir's but I'm wondering if your still hiring for the shipyard?" Waylander asked leaning stiffly on his staff

Waylander: Tomar thought for a few seconds before answering, ”Well I am not exactly sure what We need at the moment, We seem to have enough help at the moment, But what kinda work did you have in mind any prefernaces?” Tomar waited for a response.

Leo had been wandering around looking for something to do when he saw a shipyard. He found himself thinking "Perhaps I could get sailing lessons. Or maybe boat building lessons." The young sea elf started to walk towards what appeared to be the owners quarters. Leo asks the first person he sees "Serale, I was wondering if I may be able to learn to man a fishing boat? Could you point me I need be going?" He waits for an answer.
