Mariners Box (Guild Discussion)

OOC: This is part of the conversation at the Mariners Box. This is where we last left off (the important stuff). CrazedOne told me to start this so here we are.

Gabriel

"Well Dante it's good to have you on board with our guild idea, but we need more than just people we need crowns and a lot of them do you have anyway of getting them, my slimy fish friend.” Gabriel laughs and then turns to Balthor "So Balthor are you still working in that weapons shop in Primus Guado."

Dante

Hearing that the little Faerie just called him Dante quickly turns his head, and says in a voice full of resentment, and pride, “slimy fish!? I’ll have you know I’m a merfolk not a fish. Calling me a fish is like me calling you a bug. Don’t ever call a merman slimy! I’m not slimy; I have good hygiene.” Dante lets out a deep breath then continues talking. “Why would I want to pay to join your guild? What do I get from it?” After saying this Dante looks at all the people standing near by.

Balthor

Balthor after immediately hearing the merfolks comments said, "Hold on there. We are all a little confused about you. This could have been a true statement about you. See you are the first of your kind that I know of to be on land and we are all a little curios about yourself and where you come from. I am sure that my little fae friend meant no disrespect. As for the guild for now it offers nothing other than our protection. But once new members come in we will have training that will be offered for the newcomers and the ones who didn't receive it at the beginning. Now please tell us more about yourself sir." Balthor waited for the merfolks reply.

Balthor turned his attention to his fae friend, Gabriel, "No. I am not working at the weapons shop anymore. I worked there and then got my equipment, however, I am working in a pet shop in Imperia. One other thing. There is a weapons shop in Zinns Sunn that I know of. The name is called Fireside Forge Arms & Armory; there is a half-giant that works there. Tell him that a dwarf named Balthor sent you and he will pay extra attention to you." Balthor sat back and didn't say anything until they all replied.

Dante looks down at his feet for a moment, and mumbles something under his breath to himself. Then the merman looks back up at the dwarf, and say, “Yeah, ok I can see why yall think I’m a fish, but I’m not. I’m a merfolt; we live under the sea, and have been at peace with the empire for many years. Even those we have been know to the empire, I don’t understand who all of you have ever sees a merfolk. I’m not the first to come on land. We have been coming up here for years.” Dante then looks at everyone in the group one, by one from the left to right. Once down Dante looking over everyone’s face Dante says, “OK now tell me some about what you are.”

"Well first off Dante I'm sorry for offending, I'll won't call you a fish anymore. As for me as you have probably already noticed I'm a fairy and as far as you paying to be in the guild thats not what I meant, I meant that we need money to buy a guild hall and such, and I've been quite irritable because I haven't found a way to get the money, so if you have any suggestions I would be glad to hear them."

Balthor thinks about how he should explain himself. After a brief while he says to the merfolk, "I am of mountain dwelling people, more commonly know as dwarves. We prefer to live and work in the mines and pretty much anything under ground. Some of us have grown acustomed to staying up here with the above ground people. Dwarfes, we really aren't into the magic thing, but love to fight, especially with our hands or axes. We don't grow that big, just maybe a little taller than I and way a little more than I. We hate to run far distances, just hate it, we have to short of legs to be going to far. I haven't been near an ocean or other large bodies of water my whole life, that is probably why I have never heard of your people. Well guys.." Balthor looks at his friends who haven't spoken, "..please tell him about yourselves. I am sure he will want to know." Balthor sat back and waited for his friends to reply.

Stnson looks at the new member Dante and says," I am a humen nothing great or nothing bad just a nuteral species I say. I have heard of your people from fishermen in Imperia and such. It don't sound to bad to me that you can breath under and above water. I think it would be great to be a merfolk." Then Stanson waits for his friends reply.

Balthor stood back for a moment and before Casendor could reply said, "Guys I don't think I mentioned this before but I have joined the military in Primus Guado. This might interfere a little bit with the guild but I don't think it will that much, and besides I am getting paid so that will help with our money problem. Do any of you all know of another way to get crowns for the guild?" Balthor waited for someones reply.

Casendor looks about the room and stop on the Merefolk and looks away " I am a Half-Elf. Half-ELf do not have a place for just them. We are all made of accidents of war love or some of use are "planed" but we have the breeding stock of both Men and Elves. We live along time and we have the strangth on men. We are can do many jobs like humand and have high dexarity of the elves. And that is what a Half-Elf is."

Dante looks at the half-elf oddly for a moment, and then turns his head back to the dwarf Balth, “You say you’ll need a way to get crowns for your little guild? Well this is your lucky day, it is. I’m the foremost treasure hunter in the Allerian Empire. Yep if it’s lost, or rare I can find it.” Dante then lets out a deep breath, and looks down at his feet while he continues to talk. “All thou I have not found anything yet, but I’m sure that will all change soon. If any of you know where a rare of lost item is, I would be more then happy to hear about.” The merman then smiles at the group hoping one of them will know something.

Balthor had his spirits up high for a moment when Dante said he he searches for rare and valuable items, but was brought back down when he hadn't found anything yet. Balthor made sure not to change his expression on his face so as not to make his new friend mad. Balthor then said, "Nope I myself don't know where to find anykind of lost treasure but if that is what you want then I will gladly ask around for you. I know a few people that may a thing or to, I will talk to them about it. Does this mean that you are willing to join the guild master merfolk?" Balthor had a slight smile on his face when asking the question. Balthor waited for his reply.

“Yeah sure I’ll join your guild. Thanks for asking around for me. I can use all the help I can get.” Dante say this then looks at the other to see what they have to say.

"Well now that we have the membership issues settled maybe we should, get to discussing some other things, such as the guild charter, and membership requirements." Gabriel stops and thinks for a moment "We need to get something to write on. Does anybody have a piece of paper, so I can right up the guild charter. Oh and a pen as well."

OOC: I wondered where this thread was now I know. IC:

Balthor said shaking his head with agreement to Gabriels remark. Balthor said, "Yes. You are right master fae. Down to business. Here you are his is paper and a pencil." Balthor hands him one to right on. He then said before handing it to him, "Wait maybe you aught to tell me what to right down. The pencil might be to heavy you see." Balthor, by the expression on his face everybody could tell he meant no disrespect, waited for his fae friend to reply.

Dante interrupts the dwarf, and fea talking by saying, “I do have a way you can make some crowns. Take this, it will help yall more then me.” Dante reaches into his backpack, and pulls out 3,630 crowns. The merman hands this large amount of crowns to the dwarf. Then says, “I’ll be right back. I have to go talk to that elf over there.” Dante turns, and walks off down the street.

Balthor looked at his merman friend in confusement, but before he could reply his friend had vacated the seeen. Balthor looked around at his friend but then picked up his money saying, "Oh well this will contribute to the guild right guys. Now back to the business. Gabriel continue please." Balthor waited for his reply.

"Well your right maybe you should write it because well my handwriting is quite small." Gabriel stops and thinks for a moment "Well first things first as we have previously discussed, any race will be allowed to join. Secondly we need money so we will have to make them pay a membership fee, and I think it should be somewhere between 75 and 100 crowns. Another thing is we must know that every member of the guild can benefit the guild in some way so we should probably have some sort of test to make sure that only usefull people get in." Gabriel stops and takes his first breath since he started speaking "Well did everbody catch all that, sorry to have talked so fast. Now do you all agree with things so far?"
