Alatįriėl had walked through the residencial section of the city of Riparia for quite some time, looking at the deed to her home every few minutes. Then finally she saw her home which was set back from the road. Walking up a cobble pathway surrounded by a lush green lawn and a wooden plank fence is a small building, twenty feet square made from pine logs, lovingly peeled and planed to the right size. The door was made of stout pine boards, the chinks in the door and the wall calked with dried mud. The boards and the logs were painted lovingly with a light brown dye. The roof was made of boards with bark tiles nailed to them, creating a waterproof roof. Out of the roof, on the side of the house, a brick chimney jutted out, the tiles cut to form a water-tight seal around the bricks. Windows paned in glass in each wall allowed the sunlight inside, lighting the house up brightly, but the fireplace was what lit the home up during the night.

Inside, a cozy living space was created, with a large stone fireplace taking up half a side wall. The hearth was made of white river stones motered together, while the chimney was made of bricks. In front of the fireplace were two rockers, each with soft cushions for the tired soul. A table took up a space along the opposite wall, one chair at each end, and two more in the middle. The free edge of the table was pushed against the wall. Against the back wall was a plush-looking couch, a folded blanket on one arm. This couch was also the occupant's sleeping area, unfolding into a soft bed. A small cabinet in the corner held the occupant's personal belongings, such as clothes and tools, and a second, larger cabinet in the opposite corner held eating utensils, plates, bowls, and cooking equipment.
