[Kuzo Shyr]

Upon entering training room, Kuzo immediatly felt a sense of excitment.This will be the first time in his life where he would actually be taught how to bear arms.
Looking to the left he saw his trainer slashing with their weapon like it was a extension of their arm. From thaat moment on he knew he wanted to be a sword master.

[Kuzo Shyr]

"Serale my name is Kuzo Shyr, and I am your new student."Kuzo said startling his trainer.A moment after he said this the sword was at his neck.
"Sorry about that, basic instinct.Serale,my name is Kiza and for the duration of your training you will refer to me as Sir and nothing else do you understand?"He said as putting the sword back into his scabbard with one precise movment.
"Yes Sir"Kuzo said while wiping the sweat off his forehead."Here are my papers sir."
"Good...First things first do you own a longsword of your own, and if you don't you will fail your training indefinetly."
"I do sir."Kuzo said as he withdrew his sword from his scabbard, but fumbles with it and it falls to the ground."uhh...sorry about that"
"Sorry about that SIR!.Now get down and give me 50 pushups,10 for dropping your weapon and 40 for not calling me sir!"His trainer said with fury written all over his face.
"Sorry sir, it will never happen again." Kuzo said as he retreived his weapon and strarted the pushups."1...2...3..4.......50."Kuzo said while he was getting up,arms slightly burning.
"Every day you will come here the same time until i think you are done with your basic training.Also you will practice retrieving your weapon from your scabbard 2 hours a day."
"Yes sir"
"That is all for today,and remember be on time or you'll be doing more pushups than training tommorrow."
And with that he sent Kuzo away till the next brightening.

[Kuzo Shyr]

"Serale,sir I am ready to continue my training.As you can see I am here on time."Kuzo said while rushing into the training room after waking up late."
"I see but from now on before you come take a lap or two before you come to your training."His trainer said after putting his sword back into his scabbard.
"Yes sir,what will you be teaching me today?"
"First you will be tested to see how well you came along with withdrawing your sword from your scabbard.Remember what happened when you dropped your sword yesterday."
"Yes sir."Kuzo said as he withdraw his sword slowly but surely from the scabbard.
"What was that! Your oppenent would have butchered you before you withdrew your sword! Now try again but this time with more haste."
"Right away sir,"He said as he withdrew his sword with more haste than last. He gripped his sword firmily and this time it did not fall."
"Good now we will move foward with your training.Here take this wooden sword, this is what you will be practing with till a feel safe enough to let you swing a real one."
"Yes sir."Kuzo said firmly gripping the wooden sword.
"We will start with the beggening posistion, with your sword held 6 inches away from your stomach. The tip of the blade should be somewhere around your brow or just above your head, depending on how long your sword is.Now demonstrate what i just told you."Kiza said with a stern look on his face.
"I will do my best."Kuzo said as he postinoned his body the way the master showed him.
"No,not at all.Your hugging your sword, I said 6 inches from your stomach."He said as he went around to the back of Kuzo.
"Set your wooden sword down and resume the postion you just had."Kuzo did so.Then his master pushed him and kuzo fell to the ground.
"You have to learn balance like this.His trainer postioned his feet so he was more stable."Practice withdrawing your sword and goin to the beggining postion for 2 hours tonight, that is all for today."
And with that Kuzo was sent of with the wooden sword.

After practicing more than what his master told him to, Kuzo returned to his trainer the next brightening with a look of focus on his face.
"Serale sir,would you like me to show you what I have practiced?"Kuzo said grasping his wooden sword.

"Yes,and you better do it right if you don't want to be running all afternoon."The trainer said with a serious look on his face.

"No problem at all sir, I am very confident that I will impress you today."Kuzo said with a smile on his face. Drawing his sword he took a step back with his right foot and postioned his feet and back to give him more stability.He then postioned the wooden sword slightly away from his body poised for either attacking or defending.

"Very good,I'm impressed! You are coming along great.To be truthfull you are one of my more promising students.Keep on practing like that and you'll be great one day."

Kuzo couldn't help but to grin to such a compliment."Thank you."

"Thank you SIR!!!"Kiza yelled."Now get down and give me 40."

"Sorry sir."Kuzo said cursing himelf in his mind."1...2...3...4...5...40"Kuzo knew in his mind he would never have to recieve any more pushups from his trainer."That will never happen again sir, I assure you."

"Good, now let us continue your training. We will now begin your parry training. Parrying will,I assure you, will save your life one day. It is how you will repel your opponents attacks. Here let me show you."The trainer grapped a wooden sword."Strike at me."

Kuzo striked at his trainer but was repelled because of his trainers sword."How did u do that."

"Be quiet and I will show you."The trainer showed him how to repel certain strikes and thrusts."You have to be ready for everything.Practice this for 3 hours tonight and be here at the same time tommorrow."

With that he sent him on his way.

Arriving the next day slightly winded,Kuzo was ready for whatever his trainer might throw at him, Kuzo walked in the room with a look of confidence on his face.

"Serale sir, what will be doing today.Advanced striking,leaping slashes and thrusts, and maybe we can dip into some decapitations?"Kuzo said humorusly.

"No you idiot, we'll actually be continuing our parrying lesson from yesterday.Yesterday I quickly went through the basics, but now is the time to master this skill.Now get into the basic postion and try and repel my attack."

"Yes sir,as you say."Kuzo said as he drew his wooden sword.After he got into his form his master tried to strike him with a simple top-right to bottom-left slash.With a smirk on his face Kuzo easily brushed the attack away with his sword but was not ready for the follow-up that his master sent towards him.Within a instance his masters sword was at his neck.

"As I said yesterday, you must be ready for anything. Try and quickly bring up your sword to reflect my second attack and then we will move on."

After a couple of tries Kuzo finally blocked both of his masters attacks.

"Good, you are coming along well.Now you will learn how to parry thrusts.When someone thrusts at you step to the side and hit their blade to the side.If you do this perfect, then they should be open to an easy strike.Now let us begin."

For the first few times Kuzo tried to simply step to the side but then he realized by quickly shuffling sideways he would be ready to block their attack.After a few tries with this he finally had is wooden sword at his masters throat.

"Now how does that feel old man?"Kuzo said with a smirk on his face."

"Excellent, keep practicing and you'll be untouchable.I want you to practice tonight on parrying and shuffeling your feet faster so you can start sparring soon."

And with that he sent Kuzo obn his way til the next brightening.

Hardly winded,Kuzo stepped into his training room ready for todays training.

"Serale sir, I'm ready for todays training."Kuzo said

"Good, we'll be beggining our attacking lesson today. We'll start off with the top to bottom slash. Are you right handed Kuzo?" Kiza said.

"Yes sir."

"Good, hold your right hand above your left, like this."Kiza situated Kuzo's hand so the mirrored his."Good, now start at the top-right and slash to the bottom-left."

"Yes sir."As Kuzo did this he heard a woosh sound in the air.

"Great,that sound means your doing it right.You can do it both ways but that way would be more effective.Now try a thrust."

Again Kuzo mirrored his masters movements and completed a thrust succefuly."

"Good, that attack is great against a person with a weak defense.Now try a combo;Try going from a left to right lash then a right to left thrust then into a thrust."

"No problem sir."Kuzo said with full confidence in himself.After a few tries and a little sweat, Kuzo completed his first combo.

"Great, that is all for today, tommorrow I will be arranging you with a sparring partner.After you prove yourself to me you will have completed basic swordsmanship."

And with that he sent Kuzo on his way until the next brightening.

Arriving slightly early for his first day of sparring, Kuzo felt a little bit of nervousness arriving after his daily run.Today would be his first day of sparring.He knew winning today wouldn't fully prove himself to his trainer, but it would make a vast improvement.

"Serale sir,I see you have found me a sparring partner."Kuzo said scanning his oppenent."A fellow Kemite I see, should be fun."Kuzo said with confidence.

"Serale, an yes I've set you up against a Kemite.But be warned, he's a lot stronger than you. You must use your speed to overcome him."Said Kiza with full confidence in his student.

"Yes, sir.I will do my best."

"That is all I ask of you."Kiza said with a smile on his face,patting Kuzo on his back.

"Okay, lets get this started already!"said the oppenents trainer.

Both fighters stepped into the battle circle.

"'Torek Aldaine qor'u cha ae runak foray ae qilkaru."Kuzo said, repeating the ancient Kemite phrase that granted him divine aid.

His oppenent did nothing but grunt.

"Okay, the match will be divided into three rounds. Points will be decided by hitting your opponent in the torso, neck, or head."

Both fighters agreed.

"Begin!"Both trainers yelled.

Both fighters advanced toward each other.His opponent was the first to strike. He thrusted his sword toward Kuzo's body and Kuzo barely side stepped it.After being put off balance, his oppenent threw him to the ground.Before he knew it his oppponent's sword was at his neck.

"POINT!"Yelled the opposing trainer loudly with a smirk on his face.

Kuzo wouldn't give him time to do that again. After the next round started his opponent thrust time again.After side-stepping this one he knocked his opponents sword away and easily his his opponent in the neck.

"Point."Kiza said, mocking the opposing trainer.

"Okay, last round step it up."Kuzo thought

As they stepped into the battle circle, both trainees bowed.This time his opponent came at him so much ferocity it was almost overwhelming.Slash after slash,thrust after thrust, kuzo couldn't get a attack on his opponent.But then he noticed a weakness in his opponents defense.Whenever he drew up for a slash, his body was open for a split second.

"Bye bye big man."Kuzo said with a smirk.His opponent getting even madder with this.

Next thime he drew up for a slash though, Kuzo lightly thrust his sword toward his midsection.His opponent stumbled back, with a loss of breath.

"Point and game."Kiza said very happily

Kuzo's opponent stormed out, his trainer running after him.

"Congratulations, you've been doing really well lately.After your next match you will have completed basic swordsmanship."

"Yes sir.I will be ready."

"I know you will, come early tommorrow, we have something to talk about."

"Yes sir."

And with that Kuzo was sent off for the brightening.
