Riparian Guard - Command Center

The Command Center is located at the entrance to the Military compound. It is a three story building, that extends right the way from the edges of the compound. It has many offices, Rooms for teaching, Chambers for the meeting, and Housing of the Military Leaders from other cities, A Chamber of War, and other ancillary rooms.

Recruitment Office

If the person entering the command centre is new to the Military, and is looking to join the Guards, then the recruitment office is directly to the left of the Entrance all and needs no introduction from the Secretary of the staff. The recruiting office ia a small room which has posters of The Riparian Guards, there are also plaques on the wall commemorating special achievements of the Guards. A recruiting sergeant sits at a desk in this room and waits for those who wish to join up to come to see him.

The entrance hall is formal with the coat of arms of Riparia as the main focal point High on the wall directly facing the door. Under the main coat of arms of the City, is the Heraldic Crest of the Riparian Guard. Below This is situated the Reception Desk for the Command Center. It was of Oak construction and was plain in its simplicity, all it contained were a set of three draws and a small cupboard. The secretary of the Staff Officer sat at this desk, and would direct and organise the Persons who approached.

Rockrump was exploring town when he noticed the command centre for the guard. He was rather low on funds and badly needed work so he decided to see what they had to offer. He found a man who appeared to be an enrollment officer. Rockrump walked up to him slowly and spoke up. "Serale Sergeant, I came here to enroll. Is there a form I need to sign?" The sergeant handed the form over and Rockrump began to fill it out. Penmanship was never his forte so he wrote slowly enough that it would be clear enough to read.

Rockrump

Sergeant Qual'irh took the form that the new recruit had handed to him and smiled. It had been a busy day and he had enrolled anumber of new citizens nto the every growing Guard population, so he checked everything through and then reached inside his drawer, pulling out the next available numbered room key.

Well Recruit Rockrump here is your room key - Room 352. It is on the third floor of the barracks just across the parade ground. Make your way there and the Captain of the guard will come a nd talk with you and introduce the Guards system to you. I hope you enjoy your time here in the guards and I wish you well as you start on your training.

Ramiel steps slowly into the command center, glancing left and right at the plaques and numerous posters. Noticing the sergeant behind the desk, he stepped swiftly up to him.

Sergeant Qual'irh looked the elf over and smiled. There had been many that had joined the guard and elves were of the best of them, but that was by-the-by. He checked the form over and then opened his drawer and pulled the next available room Key

Recruit Ramiel, Welcome to the Riparian Guard. Your room is on the third floor of the barracks, Room 354 . It is a basic room but it will suffice for your training. I hope you enjoy your training, and wish you well as you begin your training to be a member of the growing number of guards of Riparia.

Accompanied with a small contingent of only four or five guards, Riconus trotted to the Command Centre on his black holstiener, finally pulling on the reins at the front entrance. Once dismounting, two guards stood outside to tend to the steers while the rest entered with their commander. Being his usual self, Riconus was anything but in the mood for casual talk- he already had that sincere priviledge with his good friend, Thane Quix. And with that, the Elf made a bee-line for the front desk.

"My name is General Riconus Kaldres, Commander of the Prince Maverius Regiment of Frigid River and Acting Grand Commander of the Lauryllian Provincial Legion.

But enough with titles.

I have been directed here with a Thanal pass, to see the commanding officer of the Riparian Guard. I require a portion of his or her time to discuss military affairs. And no, I do not have an appointment."

It would have been obvious for one who had listened to his conversation with Quix, that the elf's impatience grew from a rising curiousity regarding the commander, since s/he had yet met with his lone local superior, the thane. Nevertheless, handing over the parchment with the Riparian thanal seal, and with his armor-clad guardsmen standing three or four paces behind him, the Sy'rosyan stood comfortably with his hands resting on one another behind him.
