Once Again We Meet (Fidelis)

TimeStamp: Immanis, in the Season of Winter, Era I of the Celestine Mandate, Era XV Post Fractum.

A yawn escaped the mouth of the tiny young girl as she and new companion made way into the countryside of Prime. She had been told by Fidelis to meet him here, somewhere in the wilderness the day the met a season ago. She had rather come to like the man and he did mention that he wished to speak and to show her something. Having no reason not to meet back up with him, she had nothing better to do anyway, she and the new fellow Faust had placed with her now roamed into the wooded area looking for the point in which Fidelis had said to meet up.

Finding the small open area she patted her horse twice right before pulling gently back upon the reins causing him to slow to a stop. Sliding off his back she led the horse over to the waters edge allowing him to drink for the sparkling clear water. Watching, after a moment she removed the gloves from her hands and placed them withing the backpack hooked to the side of the saddle. Being that they were under the cover of the trees just enough light shown through to make it easy on her eyes so she removed the hood and and pulled her waist length white hair from inside the winter cloak and allowed it to flow freely. The soft breeze caught her hair from the right causing it to rise up just a bit. Lowering down to her knees she scooted closer to the water and dipped cupped hands in pulling out a fresh tiny pull of water. Bringing it to her lips she drank the wondrous refreshing water before repeating the process once more. After taking a good bit she took the water bag and filled it with the fresh chilled water and placed it into the backpack. Looking to the new man for a second she wonder just how well this whole guard thing would work out. Giving him a soft smile she moved to sit by the water's edge once again and waited in silence for Fidelis to appear.

She had been enjoying the sight of the wood some much she did not hear the sound of someone approaching until it was almost too late. Though her guard on the other hand had done his job well and was already standing between her and the approaching traveler before she hand even gotten to her feet and turned around to see who it was.

Just on the edge of the clearing Areka had found, two horrid creatures crawled from the woods. Their eyes burned with evil and their fangs dripped of blood as they approached. They were the Iskira; Unliving wolves with a taste for violence.

The larger of the two released a feral growl as he entered the clearing, and circled the pair. It was more than enough to scare either of them if they weren't already used to such horrors. Suddenly as they paced bout the clearing, they both sat and turned to stone. They appeared to be nothing more than a set of rather graphic statues.

"My newest pets... Do you like them?" A voice chuckled from the forest shadows as the man stepped forward. "Serale, Areka." Stepping forward, the swordsman fully revealed himself.

Fidelis wore black trousers with polished boots, and blue jacket with an abstract embroidering of a fanged wolf on the top of the left side. His twin ardentium gladii bounced off his sides as he moved forward.

"Do not worry about them. They are protect me and others like me, they won't hurt you unless I want them to."

As Areka took a step forward from the waters edge her bright red eyes caught hold of the things that had started to approach. At first glance she wasn't sure of exactly she was seeing. Then the creatures drew nearer. For a quick moment a look of terror flashed upon her face, but only for a moment. The scared feeling quickly subsided and was replaced with a wicked grin of sorts. She loved the nearly pure energy of evil which emitted from the creatures. As she watched them circle the spot in which she and her new found companion stood she dared to reach out a hand just as they turned to stone.

Just as her tiny hand had gotten within inches of one of the creatures she pulled it back with a snap when she heard the familiar voice. Looking slowly from the unmoving creature to the man now making himself known she gave a soft nod of the head to his question. Looking back to the things she eyed them with a sort of lust before finally turning and bowing her head lightly to the man.

"Serale Fidelis, these pets of yours, where could I acquire one....or two." Looking back at the motionless things once more before letting eyes look up to the vyssitichi man then back to Fidelis. "This is Zarmond, Faust has sent him to tag along with me when he nor Serion are around. He is rather...quiet."

Fidelis smirked at the young Vyssie as she responded to him. "The Iskira are the personal bodyguards of the Thorns of Jorel, and they are very vicious creatures and not always easy to control... But perhaps you share more of the same traits as Serion..." The warrior hinted to the possibility that the young D'rinishad shared the same dark lust that Fidelis' former mentor once had.

Nodding to Zarmond, Fidelis said very little to him, except, "If Faust trust's you with her, then very well... You are welcome in my company..."

Pacing along side Areka, the Jorelite crossed his arms as he looked to his flank. "Come, would you like to see a great temple, hidden from the eyes of the world?"

Areka's red eyes looked over every detail of the creatures as Fidelis explain what they were. Her eyes glowed bright with a look of lust at the thought of being able to have such a thing. She wanted it and she wanted to control it. Looking to back up at the man she show how he reacted to Zar and Zar of course just stood there not saying a word. Smiling softly "Like i said, quiet"

Areka's eyes once more moved back to the wolf creatures and only mention of a hidden temple did she turn and show a smile of great excitement. Running to the the water edge she took the reins in hand and tugged lightly beckoning the horse to follow. As she moved to the left side of Fidelis and prepared to see something not many had seen.

Since neither Areka nor Zarmond objected to visiting the temple, the party proceeded with haste. Moving through forest, plains, and streams until they finally come to the base of the Khardan Mountains. Rising up from the plains, the rocky peaks protruded like an endless wall.

Up a small draw, an ancient path carved itself up the mountainside. Weeds and grass had long ago overtaken the cobbled roadway, and even the large statues of wolves that flanked either side had seen better days. Or had they? In truth, the statues were just more of the Necromatic Iskirra. If the Vysstichi stole a glimpse at the peak, she might find nothing more than a few ruins littering its ledges, but nothing appeared habitable.

As the trio ascended the mountainside, the wolves animated themselves from their stone form and bowed their heads as they passed. Fidelis then led them to a small discrete staircase the traversed several hidden fortifications before he opened a small trap do and led them down.

Once inside, the young girl would find that life was flourishing within the confines of the temple. Thorns went about their day to day activities as the quiet of the corridor's was broken by occasional footsteps.

"It is here, the devote few serve their master. Here we exist free from the world, free from the empire. We are nearly self-sufficient in everyway... And by the time I am done, no army, beast, or archon will be capable of penetrating its walls... What do you think?" Removing his gloves, the warrior stuff them into his trouser pocket before clasping his hands. "Now, it was quite the trip. Would you like some food?"

Areka looked to Zar a moment before setting out to follow Fidelis. Giving Zar some sort of smile she turned following him and Fid into the wiliderness. The pace at first was slightly diffcult to keep up with but after some time she ajusted well. There wasn't much time to take in the sights or even examine anything closer so she stuck to what she knew and did best...observering. She had figured that if she did wish to come back the next time she would and could come without the help of Fidelis, that is if it was safe to come back along the next time.

Areka knew they were close the destiation when she say more of the wolf creature that she had become found of so quickly. She still did with to have one and understood that such a creature would be hard to handel but oh what a wonder it would be to have one walking along her side. The thought of this brought a sort of grin to her face which stayed there till they decended the stairs to the inside room.

Looking around she noticed the change for before. There where things happening here and there. This, of course, did not bother the young vyssie but it did make her withdraw the grin and pay close attention to her surroundings. She cast a glance up at Zar who still stood right before her and it appeared that he was not tense for any unknown reason. Seeing this she allowed herself to listen to what Fidelis said. Hearing the mention of food she pondered it for a moment and polietly responded with a "yes"
