Jasper's Cook Book:Chocolatechip Cookies /this is right out of a cookbook so it works

1 8-ounce bag of chocolate chips

1 cup flour


1/2 cup shortening

1/2 teaspoon salt


1/4 brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon baking soda


1/2 white sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla


1 well-beaten egg



Cream shortening add sugars gradually whille creaming until light and fluffy.
add egg and mix well. add flour, salt, baking soda, mix throughly.
add chocolate and vanilla. drop from teaspoon on greased baking sheet
bake at (375 F) for 10-12 min


Yield:50 cookies
